WHATS UR MOST BALLSY PLAY OF WEEK 15? (1 Viewer)

Football Critic

Footballguy
I'll start...

TIM HIGHROLLER against Carolina, feel like he can be productive with Beanie not making anything happen and with the Carolinas Dline being horrific.

JAVARRIS JAMES...can he keep getting the TDs? lets see!

The obvious choice...

JOSEPH WEBB, his upside is huge regardless of the possibilities of turnovers. He could be good and is probably not, but the fact that QBs have the best chance of getting TDs his ability to play him at WR is a no brainer in my book. If he scores a TD and gets 3 turnovers, his yards may still put him as a good yardage play. Risk is small in my book, but it is there to be catastrophic.

Good luck to all in week 15!

I'm considering Britt over Cal Johnson... :goodposting:

This may not rate the same, but I'm going Britt over Santonio. (With Mario Williams on IR, Collins should have time.)

After this week I have a feeling this thread title will change to "The list of players that cost me my game".Play the guys that got you there. I'm still rolling out Big Ben, Calvin, and Jennings situation be damned. And for some reason I think people will see that as a ballsy play.Never forget Arian Foster 2009 against the Rams.

Stating Hightower, but I don't think that is ballsy. I think he's a pretty good bet. Javarris James I picked up last night and dropped him to lock him out so that no one can use him against me. And Webb is a real risk in any format, even if he does play. I'd bet he fails to record enough stats to reach 10 points in any scoring format.

Someone mentioned Britt, I'll see your Britt and double down a Britt/Collins duo.

And for an out of left field prediction:

I had this dream last night that Cadillac Williams on the opening drive catches a little swing pass and goes 60 yards for the opening TD, and a lot of people are going to be like, why didn't I see that coming? :kicksrock:

WR#4 - Nate Washington.

Playing him over Aaron Hernandez, Jabar Gaffney, and Jacoby Jones. Not too crazy, I suppose.

Other WR's are Roddy, Garcon, and Nicks.

My biggest gutsy play..

Starting Line up

K Collins

J James

J Stewart

A Benn

M Austin

R Moss

Z Miller

K Boss

Going for all the marbles!!

I think you've lost your marbles!!!

Its either going to be Crabtree vs. the SD secondary, Ward on Revis Island, or one of Brandon Gibson/Earl Bennett. Not feeling good about any of them

Also considering Kitna over Ryan but I will almost definitely chicken out on that one

Brees

Colston

MWTB

Webb

HTower

JJames

Tamme

Kicker

Chicago

TD Heavy

Ugh, but whats funny is I think I may have a chance, but prolly not!

BJGE at home vs GB

over

ADP at ?? with ??? at QB against a fired up CHITOWN D (thanks to NE last week)

Moss would qualify as a boom/bust play. He has the right opponent to make amends with the Titans. I don't think he goes big but will not be surprised if he gets 2 long TD catches. It would burn my Britt play...

Earl Bennett @Min over Crabtree and Harvin. Nothing like a playoff gamble.

aside from trusting Dallas D/ST my ballsy play is sticking with my lineup instead of overthinking things and putting Kerry Collins in over Flacco....I'll check back on Sunday night :link:

Starting Webb over TB Mike because of flex eligibility. QBs in our league - even the worst ones typically get 10+ points, which is a strong day for a wideout. Here's hoping for something!

I may play Torrain over Forte. Might not be ballsy, but w/McNabb benched the box will be stacked.

Still need to hear more info on Webb's status before I plug him in as WR3. I suppose it's not hard for me to start him over Harvin or Marshall though. Hmm...

how did you make it to the playoffs?
thats what I was thinking AND how is his team still alive :hophead:
I'd give this guy the benefit of the doubt. He probably has had a string of injuries that has him starting that WW lineup. I have a 13-1 team that I can say is significantly weakened compared to a few weeks ago. Things happen, injuries, coaching changes, matchups, etc. He can win with that lineup. Wouldn't shock me at all....

You could go through this weekend’s boxscores and assemble a team from either the waiver wire or lightly regarded roster fillers and come up with a team that would have beaten the highest scoring team.

So it’s not a stretch to take a gamble that your guesses strike gold. That being said, any one of us would love to start an uberstud lineup than be forced to make these gambles. Any of us who are making these “ballsy” moves are really conceding that our teams just aren’t that good.

But in the fantasy playoffs, I’d rather be lucky than good anyway.

Good luck to you Birdie048

Probably going with Webb or Rashad Jennings over Westbrook in the flex.

I guess what might be more ballsy is sitting TB Mike Williams in my other flex whos been inconsistent lately and start both Webb and Jennings.

The team that got me the #1 seed and most pts in season has lost its mojo.

I'll be starting this lineup:

QB: Kitna - acquired on waivers this week to replace Orton and Eli

WR: Calvin

WR: Kenny Britt - acquired on waivers this week to replace Fitz, Hines, Knox

RB: Moreno

RB: Bradshaw

RB: Hightower or Torain - both - acquired on waivers this week to replace Gore, Dixon, Choice

TE: Vernon Davis - prolly sitting Tamme this week

PK: TBD from waivers

DEF: SD - - acquired on waivers this week

4 drafted and 5 from waivers... we'll see

I would kick you out of my league for that, pathetic move imo.

My opponent is freaking about Webb. Also rolling with Collins v HOU and Campbell v DEN. Don't know who I'll be starting if I actually win this week.

Pierre Thomas. I drafted him in the 4th round of my 12 team PPR league... and he owes me big time for sticking with me, right? :/

Turnovers are -3 in my league I see a minimum of 3 turnovers which would be -9 ... it would take 90 passing and a TD to break even

If Desean misses practice again this week, I'm probably going to be rolling with Arrelious Benn as one of my top 2 wideouts.

PPR

Vick

Fitz

Maclin (over Jennings) :puke:

CJ

BJGE

Keller (Fassano might be coming in here off the WW)

Torain (flex, although still might bench BJGE move Torain up and go with Jennings here at the flex) :guntohead:

Bryant

SD

Bench

Ivory, Bush, Lynch, Thomas, Kitna - :finger: to the NO RBS.

Man I'm so up and down over RB#2 and flex right now it's driving me crazy

I'm dusting off Ryan Mathews and rolling him out there tonight. Nothing like relying on your biggest bust to get you off to a good start in your team's first playoff game.

Your league doesn't have a rule that any add/drop on the same day isn't locked into waivers? All my leagues are like that...

I don't think its all that ballsy but I'm sitting Peterson this week. I also have McCoy, Forte and Stewart are options (start 2). I'm going with McCoy and Stewart. I think Stew is coming on and Carolina has a juicy matchup vs the weak Arizona run defense.

 Last year in my fantasy baseball league there was a glitch, before the playoffs if you picked up a player and dropped him without that player playing in a game while on your roster, he would not move to waivers. however, once the playoffs started the guy would immediately move to waivers. I have no idea why this happened. Anyway, I was streaming pitchers and changed my mind on 2 of them. My opponent that week simply inquired on whether that was a tactic, and I immediately contacted the commish to have him force those players off waivers and onto the FA list. It is a despicable tactic.

QB: Going with Collins over Flacco if Rodgers doesn't play

RB: Have ADP and McCoy in there right now, thinking about Hightower over ADP since Minny isn't starting a QB this week.

WR: Resisted temptations and will stick with White, Jennings and Welker

TE: V.Davis

PK: Kaeding

TD: Arizona over SD

Thinking of starting Robert Meachem over Harvin. Sitting Harvin is an easy call but rather then go the safe route I'm leaning toward the home run or strikeout play with Meachem.
