box office is. where could you buy them for face value? when do they become available? just curious.

If you have to ask, try ebay. Seriously though, there's a lottery you have to enter if you don't have a connection.

Try NFL.com, but I don't believe that there are many, available to the general public unless you're in one of the two cities represented.

I caught some of outside the lines this morning and they were discussing this topic. One of the guests said that each owner gets 14,000 tickets, 5% of the tickets go to the host city and about 1,000 are up for public lottery. I can't remember what he said about the rest of them. I'm guessing they go to the league's major advertisers.

You're too late for XL, but you're only a couple of weeks early for XLI.
Just looked at that site and noticed Miami hosts next years super bowl, then they host again 3 years later. What's up with that? Was it supposed to be New Orleans one of those years and they had to switch it?
Nope -- I'm not entirely sure why Miami has had so long off only to get two games in such short order, but that is the way the games were awarded well before any New Orleans problems.

I think :Miami: hosts two in the next 5 years or so...

Miami is one of the best cities for a Super Bowl. As far as I'm concerned, it should just be on constant rotation between San Diego and Miami. Bring back New Orleans into the rotation once it gets up and running.Jacksonville was horrid last year & I heard Houston was almost as bad. Detroit will be miserable. Most people I know are avoiding it like the plague; a lot are going to Vegas instead. If you are going to pay that much money for a ticket and stay for an average of three days, it should be warm, sunny & fun.

A Vegas Super Bowl would be awesome. You can count Phoenix in that regular rotation methinks.
