Where is Mike Bell being Drafted this weekend? (1 Viewer)

Wilbur Wood

Footballguy
Gearing up for my only non-auction redraft league this weekend. Last weekend, Mike Bell was an afterthought (right after the fumble) and only went for $5 (out of $260) in a 12 team redraft.

This weekend a 12 team straight draft (start 1 QB, 2 Rb, 4 WR/TE, 1 Super Flex). I'm interested in where Mike Bell is going in "experienced drafts" of a comparable nature. I would think that probably the range is late 4th to early 6th round.

Can people cuff the Bell brothers in the 4th and 5th rounds? Wise move?

I know that there are many threads on the Den RBs, but I'd like to focus solely on recent draft intelligence/strategy.

Not a wise move. However, I'd say that right now the Mike Bell hype is crazy, I could see some owner taking him as his #2 RB in round 5. Stupid, but I'm sure it's out there

You got a STEAL with Jennings.... just thought I'd let you know. Best rookie WR of the 2006 draft for THIS season

the guy's got one terrible preseason performance under his belt, and you're talking 5th round . . . humorous . . .

Not a wise move. However, I'd say that right now the Mike Bell hype is crazy, I could see some owner taking him as his #2 RB in round 5. Stupid, but I'm sure it's out there
I saw Mike Bell taken at 5.01 (#49 overall) this past Sunday in a 12-teamer, start 2RB, no ppr. He had taken LJ with his 1.01 pick, and Mike Bell was the second RB that he'd drafted (23rd RB taken overall). I took Tatum Bell at 5.11 as my RB3.The guy that drafted him is the same guy that took Mike Anderson in Round #2 and Larry Johnson in Round #4 LAST YEAR.This draft took place during the crest of the first wave of Mike Bell hysteria.TOADS

this guy is a wildcard right now, especially for drafts this weekend. i think i'd start looking at him in the 8th round.

Mike Bell went in 5th round in the last draft I did as well.

7.09 - 10 teamer over the last week. I thought it was a little early (and I was the one that took him - figured I'd toss out the flyer)

I took him at 5.09 in Anarchy 4. Skeletor says he starting, he's starting. T bell will be a change of pace back and Dayne will be a lard ### on the bench. I see no downside to the pick.

He is the starter for Denver. He has to be worth a 5th rd pick at this point. A 5th rd rb is a backup on your squad. Well worth it

My guess is that if your in leagues with other FBG's, and want Bell you will have to pull the trigger in at least rd 5. I have only one draft coming up with no other FBG's and I will probably draft him in rd 13-16.

I was at the store browsing through half a dozen FF mags and not one had his name in it. You would have to be a FBG or a Denver homer to know who Mike bell is.

1.07 for Calhoun . . . now that's funny . . .

Went undrafted and has yet to be picked up on waivers in my recent redraft.
:o He has to be worth at least a waiver pick-up, doesn't he? We drafted before the preseason so he went undrafted in my league but I did grab him when he was named the starter. I'll be keeping him on as my RB4.Just curious why you wouldn't pick him up in waivers???

He was just drafted at 4.08 in an "Experts League" by John Miller of Draft Sharks. Tatum Bell had gone earlier in the 4th round. Miller said that he had wanted to "cuff" the Bell Brothers in rounds 4 and 5.

I've drafted him three times this year.

7.06 (TB 5.06)

7.04 (TB 4.09)

6.06 (TB 4.06)

Gearing up for my only non-auction redraft league this weekend. Last weekend, Mike Bell was an afterthought (right after the fumble) and only went for $5 (out of $260) in a 12 team redraft.

This weekend a 12 team straight draft (start 1 QB, 2 Rb, 4 WR/TE, 1 Super Flex). I'm interested in where Mike Bell is going in "experienced drafts" of a comparable nature. I would think that probably the range is late 4th to early 6th round.

Can people cuff the Bell brothers in the 4th and 5th rounds? Wise move?

I know that there are many threads on the Den RBs, but I'd like to focus solely on recent draft intelligence/strategy.
the guy's got one terrible preseason performance under his belt, and you're talking 5th round . . . humorous . . .
So I guess you're supposed to be the wily old veteran.........and it's your job to come on here and bash or "find humorous" any post that you "the all knowing guru" deem as foolish. The original poster was simply asking where Mike Bell was going in veteran redrafts. I guess you just go through all of your drafts taking the "safe" pick in every round. I have no idea what Shanahan will end up doing this season, and neither do you. I've been doing this for 18 years now and I will take a flier on guys (even in the early rounds) on occasion. If you never take a risk until the very late rounds you will probably end up with alot of above average teams, but not too many great teams. If Mike Shanahan is your next door neighbor and you have some real inside info then by all means please share! If not then you're just blowing smoke. It's my opinion that posts like this are why so many very experienced FF players lurk these boards instead of offering their opinion.

Took T. Bell at 4.9 and M. Bell at 5.6 in my new dynasty league draft this weekend, 14 team league, they were the 31 and 35th RB taken and will combine to be my #2RB (with Cadillac). Needed another starting RB and pickings were slim so I went with the Denver RB pair.

It'll be climbing if folks put stock in preseason games. He's 6 for 33 with a TD tonight and the game thread has Tatum failing to convert a third and 1. If you believe the theory that MS wants a move the chains type of guy and Tatum is the change of pace guy, M Bell is moving up quickly. Dayne is quickly becoming a non-issue with the injury and lack of practise.

Try more like 10 for 73yds and 2 td....i rec. for 5 yrds.......not bad for the first half.

And *drumroll please* ZERO fumbles!

Got him with the 7th pick in the 9th round in my 10-team draft today (before the 73/2 performance). A lot of guys in my league aren't up on the latest preseason news, though.

Had a live draft today and I grabbed Tatum. Looks like Mike is the Bell to have this year. :wall:
:ptts:Should have listened to the threads on the topic.
Im slow. What does that finger pointing at the shirt mean?
I don't have time to find a link to the thread, but bottom line it is a shirt that lists FFL excuses. There is alot more to it then that, but that is part of the FBG lore.

It also means that he is not being very helpful. Many of the arrogant types like to use that shirt. It means nothing other than "I new the answer, you did not, quit posting your excuses that I do not have to read anyway."

Yep. I agree. In fact, I'm much more hesitant to point out a player these days. And I go WAAAAAAAY back on these boards....I've been through the "You're stupid, Ricky Williams is so much better than Edge" phaseI've been through the "You're stupid, Michael Bennet on the Vikes is oging to be way better than Tomlinson, he played weak competition in college and will be a bust."An I got slammed for prognosticating Anquan Boldin's break out season. So yeah, you idiots who come on here and think you know ought to shut up and learn a bit from the guys that have been here. Maybe you've dominated your local leagues or maybe some yahoo yoohoos... but you know little compared to most of the long-timers on these boards.Vent over... just tired of the overly disrespectful tone I've seen more and more of this season.

Maybe if you stop sounding like a jerk, that should help

how can he possibly be helpful in any sort of way?the shirt is representative of whining and excuse making in FF. Please read the FAQ at the top, or the link Fuller provided.
