I think Swift in interesting for where he's being drafted.
Gainwell has the experience but hasn't rushed for even 300 yds total, not a focus of the running game at all.
Penny of course has a 4-5 week run at the end of 2021 stays with FF junkies, has even worse injury history than Swift.

What do you think the snap counts are going to look like here?
259-1,269-11TDs for Sanders a year ago when he finally stayed healthy all year.

Swift is going to catch 80+ passes in this offense. And he’ll be running behind one of the best Olines in the league along with a great running QB that defenses have to spy. Brown + Smith + Dallas are a lot to contend with as well. Just think (if he can stay healthy) Swift is set up for a big season. I’ll concede that there is ample evidence that Hurts will continue to vulture GL TDS with the unstoppable tush push play, but even with that ill take Swift.

I voted Swift. As unckeyherb mentioned he'll be very involved in the passing game. For value though I would take Gainwell.

80 passes so 90-100 rb targets? Who suffers in the passing game or will their passing volume take a leap? That’s nearly double the RB targets from last year.

Unless the Eagles change their philosophy and Hurts all of a sudden starts dumping the ball off, I don't see how Swift sniffs 80 passes. Hurts has great downfield options in Brown/Smith and a terrific underneath option in Goedert. If no one is open, he's probably more likely to just take off and run than dump it off.

I could see Penny not even making the final roster. It's probably going to be a frustrating RBBC either way, but I actually would pick Gainwell among the group - he seems to be trusted most by the coaching staff, even at the goal line despite his smaller stature.

Penny, if he is healthy, is the most talented back. Swift is soft and plays with nagging injuries what seems to be all season

I agree with the above...i think it's kind of ugly from a fantasy perspective

I find it very hard to get on board with this take. PHI is generally pretty balanced on offense. When Hurts doesn't throw it to Brown/Smith, then he usually runs. I do think Swift will be a very good added dimension to the PHI offense. But if Swift is catching 80+ passes, then you have to assume one or 2 of Brown, Smith or Goedert will be busts at their ADP. And I can't see Brown and Smith not getting theirs in this offense. Also, Swift can't stay healthy. I would guess Swift will catch 40-45 passes, carry the ball 125 times and score 4-5 TDs.

So I would rather throw a dart on Gainwell and pass on Swift and Penny.

I am not considering a Philly RB. I don’t want any part of that committee.

Gainwell. Swift and Penny? Come on.

Swift and Penny are beat up 65 Mustangs your neighbor has in his garage that he's gonna fix up and drive cross country.

I think Swift is the most talented of these RB so I voted for him. Not sure I will get him though as he seems to be picked before I would pull the trigger.

I think 80 reception is much too optimistic because of the QBs tendencies. 50 seems possible though.

The main knock on Swift seems to be his durability but Penny has been injured more than he has.

Im not really interested in the other options.

I went Swift. He "should" catch a lot of balls, but i don't see that number being 80. I would say he is in line for 1k total yards, 45 or so receptions, 6-8 TDs.

Local beat writers here have said that they are breaking swift out into passing routes often. They just gave hurts an insane amount of money and don’t want him running as much (not saying that he won’t run at times). Miles was a good not great receiving option. Swift is an exceptional receiver and can do the most damage in space. I could be wrong but I’m pretty confident that he’ll get 5-6 catches a game.

I'm assuming this means who will have the best numbers, regardless of cost. I went with Swift -- and yes, I'm a 2020 Swift dynasty drafter who has held him through the times when he was knocking on the door of being the top dynasty asset, and could have pulled a massive haul. So yeah, I'm biased. (Not to mention, I also drafted Gainwell in 2021, and just sold him a while back for not much. So it would just be the icing on the cake if Gainwell goes 1400 yfs and 12 TD. [Which would just be hilariously familiar, because I drafted Jamaal Williams with a first round pick in 2017, finally scrapped him for pennies after 3 years of nothing much, and then last year he vultures Swift. {Always wanted to try using these curly brackets ... It's now or never.}])

Anyway. Every time I see Swift with the ball I just can't believe he's not used like a superstar. I think it's just the injuries holding him back. Hoping that Philly will have faith in him.

Most confounding backfield to evaluate personally.

I went Swift because he is so damn elite every time he touches the ball. Gainwell is just a good'ish back. Penny has been very productive, but has never put together more than a few games. That right leg is where all the injuries have been, and I just can't picture his performance not being affected. Last year I believe Swift and the Lions fell badly out of favor more so than him being that hurt. He's only 24.

Gainwell because he has the best name. Other than that they're all bye week fillers where you hope your guy is the one who gets the TD that week.

The one run he had in the preseason where he side stepped a guy and then went for like 20 yards was awesome. None of the other backs looked anywhere close to being as elusive and quick as Swift. I'm not high on any of the Eagles RBs staying healthy enough to have much fantasy impact aside from spot starters, but based on what I saw, Swift will be given the first opportunity to get the bulk of the carries.

I would go with Swift because he is the most diverse of the group so he has more ways to be productive...that being said I could easily see Penny having a stretch where he looks all-world...the key (and this aint rocket science) is not counting on them...they are all flawed and Swift and Penny are just waiting to break your heart.
