Who do you WANT to play in the super bowl? and why? (1 Viewer)

Obviously we'll all want our favorite teams to win the championship. But what other teams will you find yourself cheering for as the playoffs progress?

For the wildcard round:

Panthers - honestly I'd love to see a sub 500 team win it all. Plus they're the local team and I enjoy watching cam play.

Lions - someday they might make a super bowl. Why not now? People don't like suh, but calvin makes up for him. Also I'm a lifelong lions fan from motown.

Colts - basically I want to see them play against Peyton.

Bye Teams:

Broncos - watch Peyton retire a winner.

What about you?

Cardinals vs Bengals because the Cardinals are my favorite NFC team and the Bengals are my favorite of the remaining AFC teams.

Seattle fan here so here's who I would love to see them play: the Patriots. I think beating back-to-back HOFers in the Super Bowl would solidify this defense as an all-time best. Also, I think going up against Belichick would be a great challenge for this coaching staff; we got an easy one with John Fox, who couldn't coach his way out of a box in XLVIII.

Arizona VS Cincinnati. Hoping Lindley rises and becomes a great NFL QB....because this league is running low on quality passing QBs. If a guy like Lindley can catch fire and lead Arizona to the SB and win it, it would open up coaches to giving guys a longer shot to show what they can do, rather than benching them for over the hill never were's.....StL - Shaun Hill.

I'd like to see Packers vs Steelers. Two great old school fanbases and it could be a high scoring shootout.

Another good matchup for FF would be the Steelers vs the Cowboys. Both teams have dominate running games and no RBBC. The easy way to get coaches off this stupid situational RB BS is to win the SB with a dominate single back running game. Then the league tires to copy their success.

I think it'd be cool to see Arizona as the first team to play a home game in the Super Bowl. It'd also be cool to see them get that far having beaten some good teams with Lindley at the helm.

If we can't see the top teams play for it, I hope for chaos: say Cardinals vs. Bengals; battle of which QB can have the lowest QBR in Super Bowl history.

Denver vs Green Bay, anyone else but Seattle. Anyone but New England, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Seattle.

Anybody but NE. Seahawks don't bother me too much but would rather see someone else from NFC.

Agree Pitts vs. Green Bay would be fun and would probably be great for ratings. Dallas vs. Pitts as well.

Count me as one hoping for Cowboys v Steelers. My wife is Dallas fan. I bleed black & gold. It would be fun.

Just saw pitt and GB a few years ago.

Pats vs Pack

Peyton vs Pack

Colts vs Pack would be cool with Luck and Rodgers.

Packers vs Patriots. I think there's a good chance a game between these two teams would be close in the 4th quarter. Even if a team got up big early both offenses can score quickly and have a QB that can thrive on the biggest stage.

Patriots and Seattle. Patriots are my favorite team and I like what Seattle has built.

Teams I don't want in the Super Bowl

Broncos

Lions

Ravens

I'd like to see Steelers vs Seahawks. Winning the Super Bowl last year got a lot of the bad taste from Super Bowl XL out of my mouth... beating Pittsburgh would probably get close to wiping that slate clean.

Dallas and Pittsburgh would be a "classic" match-up.

Green Bay against Denver or New England might be an exciting shoot-out.

Arizona and Cincy in a battle of the under-dogs.

A Seattle / Denver rematch might be intriguing to see if Denver was able to become a "tougher" football team.

This is the game I'd like to see also. First one to 30 wins.

Sure, because who wouldn't want to see a Lindley-Dalton ####fest for all the marbles.

Yeah, I can see how scoring 10 points in the Super Bowl would leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Steelers vs Seahawks/Packers. I'm a Steelers fan and I would love for them to make it through the AFC and then beat the cream of the crop in the NFC.

This

I'd like to see SEA v. NE and SEA to do to Brady what they did to Manning last year. Brady would cry about it a great deal more.....and that would make it fun.

Teams that win the Super Bowl I would not mind:

- Packers

- Lions

- Bengals

- Colts

- Seahawks

Teams that I don't want to see win the Super Bowl:

- Steelers

- Patriots

- Broncos

- Cowboys

I don't think this worked out as you hoped. Maybe the never were's are the best option sometimes.

Anytime the Lions make the playoffs, I think you gotta root for them. Megatron getting to play in the Super Bowl is another reason. The Steelers would be a good matchup because that game will be all about Megatron vs a terrible secondary.

This.

PIT would be good too for obvious reasons, but PIT won't make it.

Seattle vs Pats

Seattle homers would run their mouths all week about how it's an easy win, forgetting that they're going against one of the best coaches and QBs of all time in Brady and BB. Fox and Manning are half the geniuses that Bill and Brady are, and we'd be in for one of the best SBs of the past 10 years.

Denver vs. Seattle. Denver would probably get crushed again but oh how sweet it would be if they won. Somehow as a Denver fan I wouldn't want them to play anyone but Seattle again. Glutton for punishment I guess.
