Who will be the hot week 1 add? (1 Viewer)

This year there doesn't seem to be too many options like there normally is. Gainwell peaks my interest a bit if the price is right.

Any interest in options from injuries? Juedy/Gallup/Mostert
Jeudy: I see T Patrick as your best ROI. Must add !

Gallup: Ced Wilson in Dallas until Gallup returns. Disappointing for Gallup as he looked like a future WR 1 in 1H vs TAM. Was getting targeted just as much as Lamb & Coop before injury.

Mostert: E L I

Desperately Seeking 2020 James Robinson 50-100 %

E Mitchell

Seems like I should’ve known. He feels special to me.
Shanahan could care less about draft capital. He obviously loves EM. He is also just as tough as Bill Belichick to figure out. Boom or bust here

If you can stomach swinging for the fences, this is your boy.

For risk averse the following all worth 7-15%

Tim Patrick

Tony Jones Jr

Winston (obv worth double-triple in SF)

Ingram

Marshall

Moore

Kirk

Week 2 Streaming Defenses:

Saints

Pack

Safe bets:

Any defense team facing Texans, Jets, Lions, Jags (until things start slowing down for Lawrence)

Deep Benches:

WR KJ Osborn

Latavius Murray.

Tyson Williams looked great on a couple runs and catches. He also whiffed on a couple blocks. Murray was in there often late in the game. I’m wondering if they trust Murray more. I wasn’t expecting him to play as much after just being signed.

Tyson Williams is clearly the more explosive back. I thought Murray looked fine. I think there may be a misconception that Murray is washed up. New Orleans still wanted him on the squad but Tony Jones looked great so they made the business decision to ask Murray to take a pay cut. Notice how Murray quickly leap frogged Bell and Freeman.

Also, no disrespect to Tyson but Trenton Cannon looked good to running behind that line. I think Murray can be a worse version of Gus but with similar touches and more receiving work. Tyson is still probably the 1a with Murray the 1b.

Nothing I really like this week, doing some price enforcement on Mitchell and <5% on Broncos WRs in a league where I have Gallup, but that's it

Putting in bids on Mitchell in a couple leagues, but mostly this is my favorite time to watch and see who gets dropped for the Week 1 waiver darlings...can move up in waiver order by staying put, then collecting what other people drop

I think everything you typed here leads me to believe that Bell will get a crack at the starting job within the next week or so...

how he does with it, who knows?

this.

Le'veon Bell is a sneaky intelligent hold here, as no one seized the opportunity in week 1.

I can't help but think some folks didn't actually watch the game.

If Bell is the guy despite not having broken 4.0ypc in half a decade), AND he was added before Murray.... why was he on the practice squad while Murray backed up Williams on the field last night?

This is actually very simple... Murray and Freeman were both in NFL training camps for the past couple of months and in football shape. Le'veon Bell has been working out on his own, and while in shape, is not currently in football shape. He's getting up to speed.

I also didn't write that Bell was "the guy." But, he will get a crack at that job more than likely.

I would love to believe this narrative but both Freeman and Bell were brought in on the same day (Sept 7) and the Ravens signed Bell.  So Bell couldn't have been that far out of "football shape".

Ravens brought back Freeman and signed Murray (Sept 10) after watching Bell for three days, maybe they just weren't that impressed once Bell put the pads on.

Lev Bell is washed.  He will be a non-factor.

So, which player do you have currently... Williams or Murray? LOL
I have Bell and think zoonation may not be far off base.

The Ravens have to hold Bell, and he may even get a few opportunities to prove he can still carry the ball but nothing that has happened since Bell was signed to the PS inspires hope that he could be a factor this season.

It's the narrative that Harbough is speaking... it's Google'able.

I'm not saying Bell is a league winner... but, if you watch his tape from last season, he wasn't as bad as the "narrative." He was still very shifty, and caught the ball well. He does things that the guys on the Ravens right now can't. In a deep league he's worth a hold to see how this all plays out. If it breaks his way, I think he can be a decent RB2 type for an RB desperate team.

I read the quote.

"Not in football shape" can mean a lot of things for example; "he runs soft as a feather pillow" or "he's a fat tub of goo" or "I've made a huge mistake."

ETA: I have the guy, I hope he gets a shot and excels I am simply tempering my enthusiasm with a dose of reality.

He wouldn't be on the practice squad any longer if either of those scenarios applied.

The reality is that neither of the RBs on the team last night really made the case for themselves long-term. There's an opportunity there. I don't know what's the with extreme points of view here.

neither.  won't get Murray either because he will cost too much.

I made my comment based on following the mess in KC last year.  Bell looked washed to me then.  He's slow.
I watched all of his KC work on video recently. He didn't look washed... he looked like his normal self. He's not shot out of a cannon, which I guess people love to see.

Anyway, I definitely wouldn't waste my FAAB on Murray.

I dunno, it might be best to sit for one more week, then pounce on the wire. not a lot of standouts clamoring for your attention, as others have said, there's a lot of flash in the pan type stuff out there right now.

two weeks is the beginning of a trend, let's see who carries it over through next week.

J. Reagor had himself a game, can he sustain it?  what about D. Parker?

B. Edwards might be the poster boy for one week wonder. is Darnold this year's version of Tannehill 2020?

No. He was JAG last year... at best.

I was thinking the opposite on Edwards.  He didn't get a target until the 4th quarter?... and he made the most of them.

I would say he will be the next read moving forward when Waller is doubled.

I have always loved Kirk as well, but I thought there was a lot of noise in the way (so many WRs).....  if he stays on Murray's radar he will be solid.

I added Edwards before the came last night with all the talk of him being a camp darling and the next TO. I almost dropped him during the game lol but plan on holding for now.

If someone told you he had 4 catches for 80 yards after all the preseason hype and you didn't know when in the game it happened people would be throwing crazy coin on him right now.

The fact that he was a reliable target and made some big plays during crunch time will earn him more targets. Baltimore is a tough matchup for WR's. He had no separation early. He didn't have much separation late but it didn't matter because he still caught everything.

You said he looked washed up on the Chiefs. That's actually Chiefs film. Ya know, the last time he played... you're a brick.
Link to me saying "he looked washed up on the Cheifs"?

I think you may be getting posters confused (zoonation said "he was washed")... bit early in the day to be drinking there, buddy. ;)

I said "He was JAG last year".

Last year's stats: 9 games he had 82 carries for 328yds (4.0ypc) with zero breakout runs (long of 16yds).  In the receiving game he had 13 receptions (one of which he fumbled away). for 99 yards (7.6ypc) for no TDS.. and again no big plays (long of 18).

After your beloved tweet he played 8 more games (all Wins) producing  57 carries for 215yds (3.7ypc)
and 13 rec for 99yds

He produced about 5 Fantasy Points per game in PPR.

JAG

Kirk has to deal with Green and Moore for 2nd looks. Reports were not favorable prior to game. Moore was listed as WR2?

Im in need of WR help with Galloday and Ayuk not ready to contribute. I picked up Agolar as he Jones/McDanials seem to be on same page.

What makes you think it will be Bell and not Freeman?

Bell and not Freeman what? called up to the game day roster? Not much, the Ravens worked.out both Bell & Freeman on the same day and opted to sign Bell to the PS and let Freeman walk.

Gus getting hurt prompted them to bring back Freeman on the 10th.

Other than that nothing makes me think Bell over Freeman.

Frankly I'm surprised they didn't bring in Kerryon Johnson. They didn't bring in Gurley either even though they kicked the tires on him this off-season.  Developments like that have to give one a little hope.

A very, very, very little amount of hope.

After watching that cards game, I’m excited about both of those guys (Kirk and Moore), but I actually think Moore will return better season long value.

Golladay looked pretty good imo, and I wouldn't be too worried about him as of now. I actually think his arrow is pointing up since he can only get more comfortable with Jones and this offense moving forward.
