Who Will See Greatest Increase in Value From 2008 to 2009? (1 Viewer)

Last year one example of a player expected to see a significant improvement in value/ADP from 2007 to 2008 was M Turner. It has happened. Who do you forecast to have a big improvement in value from 2008 to 2009, regardless of reason, but most likely because free agency movements?

I am somewhat surprised by the lack of interest in this topic. It might not be relevant for redraft leagues, but it is for dynasty leagues and especially for keeper leagues.

:lmao:

Ted Ginn Jr.

James Jones

Chad Henne

Chris Johnson

Limas Sweed

I think the list of rookie RBs this year would be candidates for big ADP jumps

D. Mcfadden

J. Stewert

R. Mendenhall

M. Forte

K. Smith

C. Johnson

R. Rice

I would also consider WR that are suspended for games this year to have big jumps in ADP.

S. Smith

B. Marshall

NYJ in general may get ADP bumps (Favre and Cotchery especially)

GB players might also get ADP bumps (Rodgers and Jennings especially)

Some good candidates:

Brady Quinn - Simple. Whenever he finally gets a chance to start, his value will rise. See: Aaron Rodgers.

Ray Rice - Could rise anywhere between 5-15 spots this season.

Rashard Mendenhall - Any first round rookie who flashes talent will rise up the boards.

Jonathan Stewart - Same story as Mendenhall.

DeAngelo Williams - Some risk, but has a chance to showcase his ability.

Chris Perry - If he's healthy, he might be the best RB they have. All it will take is a few good games for his value to soar.

Kevin Jones - I'll side with Borbely on this one. If he's healthy, he's the best back they have in Chicago.

Carnell Williams - High upside at a low cost. Could be an opening day starter in 2009.

Santonio Holmes - Value is already very high in shark circles, but will rise after he solidifies himself as a top 15 WR this year.

Sidney Rice - I think he's legit. It's only a matter of time until he's a perennial 1,000 yard WR.

Jerricho Cotchery - I see a big year in the cards for him.

Nate Burleson - Should have a big year and become a top 30 dynasty WR at least temporarily.

DeSean Jackson - I don't know if he has a huge upside, but he's probably going to have a strong rookie season.

Eddie Royal - Still ranked outside the top 60 dynasty WRs by most of the staff. I don't expect that to last.

Dustin Keller - Should gradually cement a spot as a top 10 dynasty TE.

Zach Miller - I don't think he's a great athlete, but the situation has converged to make him a top 10 TE right now.

Some of these guys carry a little more risk than others. I think the safest bets to rise in value are: Brady Quinn, Ray Rice, Sidney Rice, Nate Burleson, Jerricho Cotchery, DeSean Jackson, Eddie Royal, and Zach Miller. Mendenhall and Stewart will probably either rise a lot or sink a little. Santonio Holmes and Calvin Johnson will join the elite ranks, but many already rank them among the elite.

Calvin Johnson

Ted Ginn

Steve Smith (NYG)

Josh Morgan (I'm seriously liking this kid and think he may have an incredible rookie year)

Pierre Thomas (not looking like it right now, but just wait.....buy low here now)

Tarvaris Jackson

Zach Miller

Randy McMichael

I like this list a lot save McMichael.

Andre Hall. Wait, did you say by next year? OK, by then, he will have climbed to the top of Shanahanagans mountain and fallen off into his doghouse of horrors.

Then my #1 choice is AGonzo, it's only a matter of time before 36 yo Marv gives way

Kevin Smith

Maurice Morris

Ronnie Brown

Dustin Keller

Ray Rice

Matt Moore

Jericho Crotchery

Chad Jackson

Greg Olsen

Zach Miller

Matt Schaub

QB: Quinn, Campbell

RB: KJones, Caddy, current 5th string Denver RB

WR: Calvin Johnson, Chad Jackson, Robert Meachem

TE: ZMiller

K: Mehlhaff, Coutu

DST: Titans

These aren't FA-related, but here's who I see making jumps:

QB: Schaub, T Edwards

RB: Maroney, McFadden, Turner (again), L Washington

WR: R White (when everyone realizes he's for real), Cotchery (although that's already starting)

TE: Keller, O Daniels

Funny, bc I edited my post to add him as he wasn't originally on there. But, with an ADP around TE #20 a few weeks ago, I think he turns into a top 10 pick next year. Big enough jump for me mostly predicated on his REALLY low ranking this year.

EBF- always respect your opinion, glad to see your coming around on Cotchery. During the offseason I believe you referred to him as being nothing special. I always thought he has the "it factor" just needed a quality QB and system to move up into the top ranks.

Nobody mentioned Ronnie Brown? The guy who last year was a top 10 RB, boarderline top 5 on pre-season lists, and who was the #1 RB in the league when he got injured, and who is now down around RB#25 and falling based on the statement that 31 year old Ricky Williams will be the starter?

Next year, 1.5 years past knee surgery, Ricky will likely be gone (my guess - just because he'll probably be too expensive), Ronnie should be close to a top 10 back at a minimum.

I still don't think he's an elite player, but Favre will find him often. A good player in a great situation can put up great stats. Cotchery could be the next Houshmandzadeh.
