**Wildcard Sunday - Broncos at Bills**(-9, 47) 1:00 on CBS (1 Viewer)

Someone mentioned it earlier, but its wild how little Amari Cooper is involved in this offense.
I dont get why they traded for him
I almost wonder if they were after Davante Adams and then when the Jets topped their offer, they had already talked themselves into trading for a WR and just went with the next name down.
“Someone” here ;)

He obviously isn’t picking up the offense or working hard enough to not be able to beat out this group of WRs.
Don’t get me wrong, Shakir is underrated (kicking myself for holding him for 2 years in all 3 dynasty leagues and then being forced to drop him right before he became last man standing and de facto WR1) and Samuel can make stuff happen and, as a Raiders fan, I’m rooting for the quirky Hollins to stay on their roster.

But that Cooper couldn’t become at least the WR2 is confounding.

This game was closer than the score, but yeah, Denver is clearly still at least a year away.
If I’m a broncos fan, I’m loving the direction of this team.

If I’m a raiders fan ;) I’m jealous of every other AFC West team having their franchise QB in place. Ugh.

I guess Surtain holding down Hollins and then yanking on Hollins’s foot was a-ok but Hollins stepping over Surtain is unsportsmanlike. The NFL sometimes just doesn’t make sense.

I think Denver had a chance but it ended when Vele didn't make that tough grab on 3rd down - earlier in the 3rd quarter.

Nantz: How do you decide that MVP race? Let’s look at the stats that show just how close … wait, these stats show Lamar with a clear edge in every category
FWIW, Allen played about 9 quarters less this year than Lamar because of how many games the Bills blew out their opponents and because the Bills wrapped up the 2 seed. Lamar played way more snaps than Josh. Take Allen’s average stats and prorate it to make their snaps equal and they would be really close statistically.

Allen is one of the great success stories. Nobody wanted him out of high school, had a terrible start to his NFL career, and now is one of the best 2-3 QBs in the world. Great display of perseverance.

Still think it’s hilarious that the players around the league voted Allen the most overrated player before the season started.

I still remember when the PFF guys were saying he would make a better TE than QB.

Josh Allen pass attempts: 483
Rushes: 102

Lamar pass attempts: 474
Rushes: 139

Lamar also had a 119.6 passer rating compared to Josh’s 101.4, with 9 fewer attempts

Who cares?

If the Bills win next week, I won't care if Jackson wins MVP. The game is more important, by multiple orders of magnitude.

If the Bills lose next week, it will probably be because Jackson played well, so he probably deserves the award. No objection on my end.

This whole argument seems to be beneath the dignity of both teams, which each have a lot to play for.

If I had to make a prediction right now, it would be that Allen and Jackson both make the HOF in their first year of eligibility. What difference does it make who wins some annual award determined by voters? Everybody remembers 13 seconds and nobody but Aaron Rodgers cares that Aaron Rodgers was MVP that year.
