Jack Nicklaus as most golf fans knows has 18, in 2006-2007 there was certainty from every golf fan that Tiger would top that, most now assume he won't.

Will anyone ever top 18?

I vote Spieth goes over 20, kid has as much wow factor as Tiger did. His shot from the bunker on 16 was one of the best shots I've seen in a long time, and that is starting to feel like par for the course for the kid.

The 2nd greatest player ever rolled off 14 with far less competition than today's field. I don't see it falling.

Spieth almost got four this year at just 22. I doubt it, but that cat is really young with tons of game. If he wins one per year for the next 17 years he'll have it!

I say no......at least not for another generation or two.

Tiger was a man amongst boys when he was barely more than a boy. Tiger was 3d computer graphics in a movie while the rest of his peers were stop animation. These golfers who came in Post-Tiger had him as a blueprint to emulate. Tigers legacy is so big that I don't think there will be a new way of doing things. To that, there won't be a guy so head over shoulders better amongst the youngsters and they will cannibalize each others legacies.

I understand this position as it is the most commonly argued, I just am starting to get the feeling that Spieth is going to be legendary.

No doubt he will have a top 5 career as long as he has the fire. I thought the same of Rory (as far as winning majors) but he doesn't seem to have the same fire while at the top that he did on his way to the top. If Spieth can put up 14 majors with the current level of competition, that would be remarkable.

Sure, they'll add a fifth major in there at some point to generate revenue and then it will fall with an asterisk.
