Will Mami kick the ball to Devin Hester? (1 Viewer)

Devin Hester showed off his amazing talent all over the field last Sunday against the Vikings. Do you think Mami will dare to kick the ball to Hester on kick offs and punt returns?

Hester has only returned two KO this year and both where last Sunday. So maybe they will not put him back there, but I do not know how you do not put him back there. You think Mami will squid kick the ball on every kickoff? Might be a good idea. Devin Hester might be the best returner of all time.

IIRC, Hester has not been the primary kick returner in Chicago this year. If he is moving forward I've no doubt they'll kick to him at least a couple of times.

Tony Sparano:

“We’re going to take a long look at it. I think sometimes situations go into it. Where you are in the game, whether or not [your in it]. Where you are on the field maybe goes into it. How your kicker’s kicking, your punter is punting, any of those things,” Sparano said. “I could recall a time with Devin where there was a couple groups that never kicked to him at all and then all of a sudden some group, I don’t remember who it was decided we’re going to kick to him and he returned a couple of them, boom boom."

"We have to be smart about our approach. Field position is going to be critical in this type of a football game. This is not something that I think you can take lightly; the guy’s obviously a weapon back there,” Sparano said. “Now that being said I got a lot of confidence in our people to run down there and cover.”

seems like the might kick to him until he has a big return.. then stop kicking to him.. so it looks like hester will not have a big game.

two kick returns not put returns.. Hester has been the punt returner all season.

Hester just got the job as Kick Returner last Sunday against the Vikings. And it looks that he will be there the rest of the season and play less snaps in the offense.

but the question remains, if Hester is back there as a returner.. will they kick to him?

At the game last Sunday, and as a Vikes fan thought the Bears were in trouble.

In comes Hester and turned the tide of that game. If I were MIA I would stay far away if 23 is back there.

I am in a points for return yard league. is it worth gambling on hester? hes not worth it if he does not get any return yards.

I just dont see them kicking to him

I'm in a yardage league and Hester is actually sitting on my ww. Just can't fit him onto my team (small benches, and I'm stocking up on rb gambles). But I'd try to put him in my starting lineup if I had him.

For one, they'll likely kick to him a couple times. Secondly, he's playing on Thursday. And it's always fun to watch your player blow up on Thursday.

just because its fun to watch them, doesnt make it the right move. the league I am in is for a lot of money, and I need this win to go into the playoffs.so your thinking they will kick to him? because even if they only kick to him 3 times, thats a great chance for a big return and with his receiving stats in the mix. hes worth it.

Pretty much. I can't imagine they'll avoid him every time. And unless your other options are awesome I'd roll him out there.

well i got 2 other returners that are also in the receiving game: Micheal Spurlock and Emmanuel Sanders.

I also have 2 kickreturners/puntreturners: Eric Weems and Marc Mariani

Sanders could be a better start if hines ward is out again.

Spurlock could be a great play if hes involved in the offense, he seems to have random production.

Hester is up in the air if he will get kicked too, and he might not even be the kick off returner.

very hard decision to make, someone please help.

Hester has never been a great kickoff returner, anyway. He's averaged 23.3 yards per kick return; that's not even top 20 among active returners.
