Only real thing I would have done differently is let Gagne go. I do think this draft was good if for no other reason than it was sort of hard to really screw up badly. It was tough to get necessary depth and it was always a give and take.

No kidding,Although ... if everyone saved 1B, an OF slot, and two or three top-5 letters for rounds 20+ .... would the results be all that different? The main difference would probably be that the benches would have turned out more even from team to team.

there were only 30 or so top-tier guys and most of those were scattered in 3 or 4 letters.
