I was sure this was a trick because I’m familiar with the aviation alphabet and it’s alpha not alfa. But after eliminating the first two categories, it was unavoidable when paired with the cable channels (the alphabet would eliminate bravo leaving four channels).

Thought the same thing on Alfa, but it was the double words that did me in. When I was down to two categories, I thought one was double words, and the other was ways to say hello around the world (hi, yo, la…). Didn’t see the states at all.Wordle 901 3/6*

the bolded is exactly what I thought. but I just did a google search and the wiki page it returned showed it as alfa.

If you google "nato phonetic alphabet", though, first result (from whatever first10em.com is) shows alpha.

Used a burner mid-game (Gumps, which I didn't know was a word) because I was trying to decided if the first word was Poofy or Goofy. Glad I did, because it was neither.

I thought connections was incredibly easy. I finished it in 30 seconds. It was only after reading here that I realized that I got very lucky. Got the Nato alphabet right off. Didn't even flinch with the misspelling of Alpha. Normally those are the kind of mistakes that cause problems. States were next. TV networks were obvious after that. Game, set.
