I feel like he's a little underrated (as much as a top 5 WR can be). I have him above Chase and JJ this year in a tier with ARSB, Ceedee, and Tyreek. I think the new OC is gonna have them passing a ton, and Hurts is looking like he's in a groove passing wise.

What are peoples thoughts on Brown this year? I just landed the 8th pick and I am deciding between him or Garrett Wilson (The likely two best players on the board).

With Kelce retiring, I feel extremely safe in saying Hurts will not run for 15 TD again. Those scores will have to go somewhere.
Hint: at least some of them will go to the guy who's extremely good at touchdown things.

It all depends on your projections. I have a feeling AmonRa would be there which would be hard for me to pass up personally. If you have Brown and Wilson rated higher than AmonRa then go with your rankings.

It's a keeper league and Breece is gone. I also know for a fact CMC and Bijan are going 1/2 so I likely see it going:
- CMC
- Bijan
- Lamb
- Hill
- Chase
- St. Brown
- Jefferson
The total list will be likely be AJB, Wilson, Barkley, Harrison Jr, London, Hendry, Adams, ETN, Olave, Deebo. I already have JT and Achane as my two keepers.
100% agree, except Chase being the wildcard. "Safe at Eight" if Chase can sign and practice. If he doesn't, then I think Brown/Wilson slips into 8 spot.
Exactly this. Though he didn't tell us earlier that it's a Keeper league and that Hall (but none of the others) were kept.

i'm in a similar but more advantageous situation in a keeper. i am keeping arsb and drew 1.01 and traded for 1.08. so i likely draft cmc (but could go lamb or tyreek) and at 8 i'm likely gonna be staring at ajb and a rb like jt, gibbs or bark. so with a cmc/arsb start i am conflicted on getting ajb or a rb. i won't pick again till the 4th

Thinking about either using Demarcus Robinson in AJ's spot, or dropping Demarcus and grabbing Dotson or McCloud. But that means I'm holding out hope for AJ and I'm losing hope with each post I'm reading here.

Hm, so here's my situation. I'm just gonna think out loud (in text) for the fun of it.
I could opt to either:
(A) go without Brown, and start both Etienne and Godwin
or
(B) start just Godwin, then if Brown is still questionable Sunday, put Swift in instead Sunday night; or if Brown is known to be good to go before the Sunday night game, Brown stays in, Swift stays on the bench.
It all boils down to:
(1) The probability that Brown is cleared before Sunday Night Football
(2) Expected point difference of Brown (given that he plays) - Swift
(3) Expected point difference of Etienne - Swift
Or in other words ...
Would you rather:
100% Etienne
Or
35% Brown
65% Swift
(35% is the probability that Brown is cleared before SNF, just an estimate.)
I could opt to either:
(A) go without Brown, and start both Etienne and Godwin
or
(B) start just Godwin, then if Brown is still questionable Sunday, put Swift in instead Sunday night; or if Brown is known to be good to go before the Sunday night game, Brown stays in, Swift stays on the bench.

Honestly—I think your option A is really solid. Even if Brown is cleared—he very easily could be hobbled or limited. It very well could be the case that there is a 35% chance that Brown is cleared by Sunday night to be playing at 50-80% health. Most people that are rostering Brown do not have the strength of being able to plug in a guy like Etienne or Godwin for him. I’d personally go with option A unless there is clarity that Brown is legit close to 100%

That makes a lot of sense, the risk of playing healthy but limited is significant. Probably agree with you on option A, thanks. Now ... if by chance they say Brown is good to go before the 1:00 games??? Then I'm starting Brown, even with the risk of being limited.
