WR A.T. Perry, NO (1 Viewer)

The problem is I find it hard to stay excited about the 3rd option in the NO passing offense. Maybe even 4th when Juwan Johnson decides to show up for a couple games.
This is true, but he could well be the 2nd option.

What happens with Carr seems like the most relevant factor. If Rattler gets a shot, I’d be more excited for these WRs - that gunslinger mentality is everything Carr isn’t.

The other possible scenario I see is NOS signing Hunter Renfrow, and forcing Perry & Shaheed into a WR3 timeshare, ruining both for FF. It would make a lot of sense. renfrow is cheap, and he’d be a great safety blanket for Carr who obviously has familiarity with him.

I was recently reading about potential landing spots, and KC and NOS were the first 2 on the list, so it’s fresh in mind.

The guy turned 18 targets into 246 yards and 4 TDs. All he did was produce when given a chance. I cut AT to hold Trey Palmer but I'm feeling the urge to go back. I didn't feel same. They had injuries and he got time last year.
I did hope last year til he got in. He had 343 snaps and only 12 catches with zero broken tackles.

We knew he's a big boy and when he needs to, he wins contested catches but...that's all he proved to me

#Saints HC Dennis Allen on A.T. Perry (again):

“He’s still got a long way to go. That’s what we’re seeing. We’re seeing a guy that’s got talent, has shown signs of being a playmaker, and has shown signs of inconsistency.”

“Spencer Rattler to A.T. Perry. This was Rattler's last pass in the session and he made an extremely tight throw that saw Perry go up to get it in the back of the end zone working against Rezjohn Wright. The Saints defense was in disbelief, and my notes simply said holy expletive. It was easily one of the best plays of the day.”

@32BeatWriters
“Perry seemed poised to step into the role as the Saints’ big bodied thief’s option in the receiving corps. Instead, Perry has been running with the third team while Mason Tipton and Cedric Wilson Jr. have consistently stood out”

A.T. Perry hasn't been particularly impressive throughout camp so far, according to head coach Dennis Allen. (Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Allen noted that Perry has been 'fine' so far, but hasn't done anything to win a role for himself yet. The second-year WR has yet to prove his talent at the NFL level, so if he isn't able to have a strong performance in the preseason this year, we could see him lose the WR3 spot on this offense to someone like Cedrick Wilson Jr.
