WR Adonai Mitchell, IND (1 Viewer)

From what I remember, he also had another holding call that cost the Colts a first down in addition to his other two bonehead plays. What's the saying? A couple of plays don't determine the outcome..Maybe not, but just one of those scoring plays were needed badly. I didn't like their play calling at all as they abandoned what got them to 3-0. Only in the 4th did they start to run the ball. The Colts played well enough to win the game today, but it's the NFL, anything can happen and it did today.

Celebrate after you cross goaline.
He could of seen more playing time when Pierce comes back if not for that dumbass fumble.

I'm stashing him. Im in a deep bench league...
If he stopsvhis mistakes,he could be something second half of year if injuries occurred.

Leon Lett 2.0

-The difference between the Colts and Rams today is that 1 TD Mitchell fumbled away after an amazing play
Mitchell had a major hand in the Colts losing the football game yesterday but he flashed talent that man believe is waiting to explode with more targets

The catch between double coverage and then a Madden Spin move to run up along the sidelines for 74 yds when he needed 75 yds, thrilling play to watch

He wasn’t celebrating. If you watch the play he was attempting to hold the ball out to cross the line and it slipped out of his hand. Much like players do when going out of bounds and extend the ball closer to the first down marker. At least that’s what it looked like to me. I haven’t caught up to what Mitchell said.

Just saw it, and I'm seeing it the same way as @JohnnyU

Truthfully, I was hoping to see a cocky WR blow the game on a premature TD celebration, but that's not what I saw and I feel bad for him. Trying to keep his balance on the sideline and reached to get it across. Not a good idea, but purely instinctive based on the attempted tackle and trying to get it in.

Justin Jefferson had one in Philly last season or the year before that was less spectacular, but similar. Temptation of the endzone was too much. Costs them a possession inside the 1.

He could see nobody was near him. He FK'D up trying to celebrate.

I respectfully disagree. Unless Mitchell has said something to the contrary, he was just trying to extend the ball over the ez line and it left his hand.

I just watched the replay that was very dumb just put the ball away and walk across the goal line there was no need to try and extend the ball for what reason it was not like he was falling down.

Continue to defend him but that was dumb dumb dumb

I don’t deny it was dumb, but he wasn’t celebrating as far as I could tell. There was no indication of that, only trying to extend the ball across the line.

I believe he was trying to extend it out to cross the goal line rather than trying to be cocky. Problem was he looked back over his shoulder and panicked and probably thought the defenders were closer than they actually were. Once he made it to the 5 yard line he had to know he was in the clear. Just a bad move all around. Sucks because I really like him and want him to be a thing in this league, but he's not doing himself any favors with the mistakes between the fumble and the hold. It was the difference between victory and defeat.

You could tell it really messed him up mentally when he was walking around behind the huddle instead of huddling up with his teammates. I hope he isn’t beyond repair.

It doesn't matter but I think he was in the midst of a Deion Sanders style reach forward with swagger - too close to the EZ, so no time for full high-stepping with the other hand on the helmet. I realize that Deion didn't always reach the ball forward.
He was probably just doing the ball reach part only -- in celebration mode.

Can have all the athletic ability in the world, but if you have empty space between your ears, you won't see the field much. I recall Reggie Wayne gushing about this kid in OTAs and camp, etc...and I just didn't see it the same way. He was dropping passes, running bad routes (I believe that was showcased in pre-season). He'd make a great catch/play, then do something boneheaded or drop a gimme pass. I'm willing to forgive him for his fumble as long as he wasn't trying to showboat...but it's hard to swallow THAT and his holding call that negated JTs TD run. He just can't be trusted for anything more than a handful of routes. Or use him as a decoy.

I picked him up last week with Pierces concussion to see if he could have good game and take job from Pierce possibly.
Not with that fumble n holding call he won't.
Thinking Mitchell is one of those year 3 breakout wrs next year. He's not ready yet.

Even AD Mitchell's momma knows he was about to launch into some advanced choreography when he dropped that ball.

Come on now, you're embarrassing yourselves here
