Not bad, but they wanted more. That's between five and six a game. If you check the threads, Rodgers not targeting him was the constant and aching complaint.Finley fans probably wish he didn't get injured. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers says that he's "excited" about WR Allen Lazard, who is "getting an opportunity to be a No. 1 receiver."
"He’s been our dirty-work guy for most of his career here, now he’s getting an opportunity to be a No. 1 receiver, so I’m not worried about him at all stepping into that role," Rodgers said. There's a lot of reasonable conjecture about who will actually wind up as the No. 1 receiver for the Packers this year, but based on those words, Lazard will probably be heavily involved.

The man and press coverage numbers are pretty discouraging and that was with nickel corners on him. My gut really likes this guy just because I think he’ll be the one Rodgers trusts - but he’d be the least talented WR1 in the league. One of the biggest dilemma’s until he becomes a bargain at some point in the draft.
He'd be a great hybrid of 4.36 youth and veteran savvy.Sammy Watson
Yeah sorry - WatkinsHe'd be a great hybrid of 4.36 youth and veteran savvy.
Sorry, not to jump on your typo but I was confused for a minute. It took me a minute to come up with his real last name, Watkins. Sammy Watkins. Jeez, do the years ever take a toll on one's recall and currentness.
And Christian Watson is the dude they took in the second who is on my main team.
Who can also still fly, apparently. He's just never on the field.Yeah sorry - Watkins
I think Watson is a bit too raw for Rodgers to trust him in 2022 - but obviously the same depth chart applies to him as well. I don’t ever remember not knowing who was going to be the top option for an elite QB in a long time. Some one is going to get a bargain on draft day.Who can also still fly, apparently. That’s a good approach. He’ll produce until he gets hurt. Per usual.I'm going to try and grab Watkins later, and hope for a good Week 1 like he's done the last 3 years (4-96, 7-82-1, 9-198-3). Then trade him, of course.

Well that won’t help gain confidence with Rodgers.Playing status for week 1 is "up in the air". https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mo...-for-week-1-as-other-wr-come-back/ar-AA11uYW8

Allen Lazard is still out here rehabbing at practice. Seems to be running fine under the watchful eye of trainer Nate Weir. We’ll see what the specific injury is when the first injury report comes out this afternoon.
LaFleur says Allen Lazard "got stepped on" last week and will once again not be practicing today. First injury report is out this afternoon.
Allen Lazard (ankle) is doubtful for Week 1 against the Vikings.
He's not going to play after missing all three practices this week. The Packers will roll with a wideout group of Sammy Watkins, Randall Cobb, sophomore Amari Rodgers, and the rookie trio of Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure. Expect Green Bay to mix and match, though Watkins might be the best bet for targets.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Allen Lazard (ankle) is not expected to play in Week 1 against the Vikings.
Lazard had his ankle stepped on in the final week of training camp. He has been out of practice ever since, including three DNP tags this week. Sammy Watkins and Randall Cobb are strong bets to lead to the team's messy receiving room in targets. Rookies Chrisitan Watson and Romeo Doubs have less certain roles for the team's opener. Watkins, who has done some of his best work in Week 1, looks like a volume-based WR3 versus Minnesota.

Allen Lazard (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday.
Green Bay's injury report won't drop for a few hours, but we can assume Lazard was limited on his first day back. He suffered the ankle injury when another Packers player stepped on him in the closing weeks of training camp. Lazard was unable to play in Week 1 because of the ankle issue. The Packers' offense was a mess In their opener, putting up just seven points against the Vikings. Lazard's return will give Rodgers a familiar target for his Week 2 date with the Bears.

Allen Lazard (ankle) remained "limited" in Thursday's practice.
The back-to-back "limited" sessions put Lazard on track to return after missing Week 1, though no one can be considered truly guaranteed to play coming off an absence until they get in a "full" session. That might not happen Friday but even another limited day would have Lazard on the right side of questionable. If he suits up against the Bears, he will slot back in as the highest-ranked Packers receiver, probably checking in near the WR3/4 borderline.

Allen Lazard caught 2-of-3 targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in Week 2's win against the Bears.
Lazard took a red zone slant to the house and poured fake ayahuasca as a celebration, but it was a disappointing target share. Perhaps the ankle injury slowed him a bit, as he came off and talked to the trainer after blocking on one first quarter play. Lazard would still seem to be as good a bet as there is in the Green Bay passing game for Week 3's match against Tampa Bay. That puts him more on the WR3/FLEX line than someone you'd absolutely have to start.

Allen Lazard (ankle) participated in Friday's practice.
He'll likely be getting in a limited session. He was a surprising mid-week downgrade, and Matt LaFleur didn't have anything concrete on the status of his receivers going into Week 3 beyond saying that Romeo Doubs could have a big role. Assuming Lazard plays, he'll be a WR3 at best against a tough Bucs secondary that devoured Jameis Winston's passing attack in Week 2.

Was Lazard traded to the Patriots?Allen Lazard (ankle) was removed from the Week 4 injury report and will play against the Packers.
Lazard played through the ankle injury with no problems last week and will do so again versus the Packers. He turned six targets into 45 yards and a score in Week 3, but rookie Romeo Dobbs led the squad in targets and routes run. Lazard is a touchdown-dependant WR3 this week.

Allen Lazard caught 4-of-9 targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in the Packers’ Week 6 loss against the Jets.
It was an up and down day for Lazard who couldn’t get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers at times. He did however catch a beautifully thrown ball on the sideline for a 35-yard gain. He then caught a nicely thrown back-shoulder throw from Rodgers for the Packers’ only score. With his fourth touchdown of the season, he’s become the most consistent receiver for the Packers to date.

Allen Lazard was seen wearing a shoulder sling after the Packers' Week 7 game against the Commanders.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was vague when asked about Lazard's shoulder injury, which knocked him out of Green Bay's loss to Washington. He may have been on his way to a big outing, with six catches for 55 yards in the first three quarters. “He hurt his shoulder,” LaFleur said in his Monday press conference. “I’ll kind of leave it at that, see how it feels throughout the course of the week.” Lazard leads the Packers in target share (20 percent) and air yards share (34 percent). His absence in Week 8 against the Bills could open up a bunch of targets for Romeo Doubs and Sammy Watkins.

Allen Lazard said he "probably" will not play in Week 8 against Buffalo.
Lazard told reporters that he heard a "snap, crackle, pop" in his shoulder when he was tackled in the third quarter in Week 7. He hadn't practiced on Wednesday or Thursday, so this isn't exactly a surprising conclusion. If he sits, Sammy Watkins will be WR1 and Christian Watson (hamstring) -- if he plays -- could be in line for a major snap load against Buffalo. None of them will be recommended fantasy options against the Bills and their top-flight defense. Lazard told reporters he doesn't have any long-term concern about the shoulder.

Allen Lazard (shoulder) practiced again on Thursday.
Lazard was "limited" on Wednesday and will likely remain so for Thursday, but he's now on track to suit up against the Lions' porous defense. The back-to-back limited sessions are key because it means Lazard bounced back well from his return. Lazard will be in the WR3 mix if he goes in Detroit.

Allen Lazard (shoulder) is questionable for Week 9 against the Lions.
Matt LaFleur called Lazard a game-time decision earlier today. Assuming he plays, Lazard probably enters the WR3 conversation against what to this point has been a ghastly Detroit coverage scheme. He'll be one of the bigger questions of the week heading into the Saturday and Sunday report circuit.

That didn’t work out well.Did this guy practice today? I know he was “limited” yesterday. Any new news? I need to play D. Smith tonight if Lazard is going to be out again. I would prefer Lazard vs Det.
Is it a shoulder separation? No idea what kind of injury he’s playing through
Not sure about the source—looked legit when I saw it on Twitter. They will shoot him up and he’ll be out there today. Hopefully he can make it through unscathed

Is that a real news source? It seems to be just a step above Facebook or Twitter memes that so many consider to be real news sources these days.
(I own Lazard, but I haven't seen anything about the exact injury. If he plays, he's in my lineup.)
