WR Amari Cooper, Free Agent (3 Viewers)

Amari Cooper traded to the Bills

Funny it happens same day as Adams trade
It looks like Buffalo has no ability to move the ball downfield, none of the current Wide Receivers are really making an impact and I saw some terrible routes last night
Josh Allen deserves better and they are going to bring him some reinforcements, Cooper will fit in well with Allen and will be happy to work with him catching passes
Hey, another one slips through the fingers of the Chiefs.

This is really a great trade for Buffalo.

Cooper can still run, can get deep and open things up for everyone and unlike Diggs he's not a diva who pouts if he's not getting targets.
Lol Diggs hasn't done that at all in Houston; Allen was the one taking shots at Diggs when they started 3-0

Just a reminder that Cooper made the most impressive adjustment for an in-season trade I've ever seen a WR pull off.
It doesn't matter. He went from possibly the worst QB to one of the best. He could play right now and be better than where he was.

I'm talking about 2023, which sounds like you forgot so lol on that awhile.

I learned it from you

@menobrown and I attended “Our American Cousin” on that fateful night, if that gives you an answer to your question.

Solid WR2 ROS with some WR1 games sprinkled in maybe?
My gut says yes. The problem is Bills offense isn't Allen hero ball anymore. Its a controlled, run the ball, dink and dunk. Maybe that changes with his addition a little? Who knows. Either way I'm happy for Cooper to get out of Cleveland

Almost everything about that night was awesome.

Own a lot of Cooper and unless they get away from Brady's prehistoric offensive game plans I don't know that this moves the needle much for Cooper. Offense is brutal to watch.

Maybe
Cooper immediately becomes a too 10-15 WR the rest of the season.

Allen will feed him alot.
as long as he isn't dropping passes; pretty excited as a cooper owner
I think the drops is just an issue this year, almost assuredly from lack of concentration given what's been going on there.
Agree. The guy is probably borderline depressed. Now he has something to play for. When was the last time he could say that?

Have you watched any Cleveland games?? This situation is significantly better.
All Brady wants to do is run and now he can run Cook and Davis. Much better QB but low volume. This offense has managed to crush a great talent like Kincaid. At least in Cleveland Watson would overthrow him 10 times a game.

I don't think they'll start chucking the ball left and right like under Dorsey/Daboll, but I also don't think they make this deal if they felt like the offense could remain status quo and keep up with the likes of KC, Baltimore and Houston (the latter two beat them the previous two weeks).

That's a bit higher than I would go, as I think Buffalo wants to be run 1st team, but its certainly an upgrade for Cooper, who was a WR3/flex guy so far this year.

Its good news for Allen, as he was starting to creep toward maybe more top-5 than potential #1 overall QB.

The big question now is whether he'll be ready to go by Sunday. It's only Tuesday and they don't start practicing until tomorrow, but obviously takes some time to get acclimated.

Who fills the hole left in CLEV? Moore, Tillman, Bell? It aint Jeudy, he's not good at football.

I guess not Bell, he is on IR.

Agree and hope they do, just don't think Brady is smart enough to understand that.

Somewhat curious about Tillman who came to camp a new man and impressed. Obviously has not done much but could have an opportunity to make a small jump. I doubt anyone is worth the pickup as of yet with their current offensive struggles.

Guessing the Bills were in on Adams and Cooper was the backup plan.
Crazy thought, but I like the deal for Cooper better than Adams. The deals are probably close but the jets can give a 2 if Adams does well.

Last year?

It is shocking to me that Cooper is now on this 4th NFL team. He and Brandin Cooks are cut from the same cloth. Good WR, not great/legendary/untradeable face of a franchise type. And that is why he gets traded. Because he can play and isn't a loud type.

This is more impactful than Adams for fantasy, he’s clearly the 1 in buff
I think it definitely helps the team, but there are still quite a few options for Allen to look for out there. I still think Shakir is a good player and has familiarity with Josh so that helps. Two decent TE, Coleman, Samuel…cupboard not bare enough to make Cooper a target hog imo.

I disagree. Cooper is by far their best option.

I think he is their best option, however I do not think he all of a sudden becomes their new “Diggs” from a target standpoint. They are a better team with him for sure, I just do not see him commanding 8-10 targets with the group and familiarity they currently have.

Cooper and Kincaid, with a sprinkle of Shakir and Coleman. The rest are desperation targets most of the time. This not counting RB targets.

I've always liked Moore.
Didn't he get hurt (ribs) Sunday? Plus, he sure has struggled for the most part, even when healthy. Assuming you're talking about Elijah Moore.
he did. I just remember watching a Browns game (not this year) and thinking "this guy is pretty good" Maybe he's not that good, I don't know but what I do know is that he has bad QB play so even if he IS good then it's going to be hard to have a good stat line.

Does this mean the Browns are tanking this season?

The Browns started tanking March 18, 2022
