sell? in redraft? what am I getting coming back, Shenault? So what say the prognosticators? Buy, sell or hold
I just bought him as a throw in on a fairly large deal bc I think his talent is too good to go on being ignored. I love deebo and kittle as well, but when a player has separation talent all they need is volume. I’m willing to bet volume will come.So what say the prognosticators? Buy, sell or hold
Trying to buy in Dynasty. Owner won't sell for less than DJ Moore....So what say the prognosticators? Buy, sell or hold
So he won't sell for less than the value of Aiyuk's absolute ceiling?Trying to buy in Dynasty. Owner won't sell for less than DJ Moore....
No - for one the rumors were that Shanny wanted Mac Jones and the scouts wanted Lance - but even if that's fiction why would a coach sabotage his starting QB? If he wanted to make the switch, he just would.I doubt it’s happening this way but could shanty be sabotaging the offense for Lance - and then in Lances debut Aiyuk is suddenly ready to roll.
like I said, I doubt…….
I’m sitting him for the first time, so this sounds about right.Have a feeling a big game is coming this week. Has been time for him to get healthy and his head straight by now. And for the coaches to realize they have to have him as a playmaker. Running game is banged up. Just wouldn’t be shocking (and I have a dynasty league with multiple flex starters and some doubtful players due to injury).
Brandon Aiyuk caught 4-of-6 targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Packers.
This was a breakout game for Aiyuk, who worked his way back into Kyle Shanahan’s gameplan. Aiyuk was buried on the depth chart in Week 1 and had one catch on two targets last week. Aiyuk’s six targets were behind only Deebo Samuel (10) and George Kittle (9). His touchdown was a red-zone pass on the opening drive of the second half. The 49ers’ pass offense has struggled to support anyone outside of Samuel and Kittle, but Aiyuk is trending up after a rough start.
I'm going to, but I don't really have much more attractive options. If Kittle is out he should be a safer bet.Is anyone pulling the trigger and starting him vs. Seattle this week?
I am also with Claypool out. I could also go with Rondale Moore, Bryan Edwards, or Sammy Watkins. Pull a name out of a hat, but I'm hoping last week jumped-started Aiyuk.Loris said:Is anyone pulling the trigger and starting him vs. Seattle this week?
I agree with the sentiment, though not the bolded. The road is littered with 1st round WR busts, many of whom have been on my team!Ministry of Pain said:And then he will have 4/65/TD this week and everyone will be singing his praises.
He is a 2020 1st Rd pick so he is going to continue to get better and perhaps Lance will find him a little more often taking all the reps and snaps in practice this coming week.
I'm holding and looking at him as an upside WR cuff like Gallup. Deebo & Kittle tend to get dung up so you never know when/if Aiyuk's value will spring up.
It was a rocky start to the season for Brandon Aiyuk.
The 2020 first-round pick saw zero targets and limited snaps in the 49ers' Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions. While his snaps have increased, Aiyuk saw just two targets in Week 2 and three in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The Arizona State product was targeted six times in Week 3.
On Monday, head coach Kyle Shanahan explained that Aiyuk is improving but the 49ers still want to see more out of the young wideout.
“Yeah, I have. He's trying to work on being more consistent and it's still a work in progress," Shanahan said. "We're going to keep pushing him hard at that. Not a lack of effort. B.A.'s working at it and I expect him to keep trying to get better here.”
On the season, Aiyuk has been targeted 11 times while recording six catches for 58 yards and one touchdown.
The 49ers' offense has been slow out of the gate early in the season. While Deebo Samuel is off to an incredible start, leading the NFL in receiving yards with 490, Aiyuk's disappearing has hampered the 49ers' passing game.
While tight end George Kittle has yet to find the end zone, he ranks in the top five in routes run, targets, receptions and yards for a tight end this season. It's only a matter of time before the 49ers star puts some touchdowns on the board.
But the 49ers need Aiyuk, who had a stellar rookie season, to return to being a reliable option in order to give the passing game another dynamic run-after-the-catch threat.
The 23-year-old is working hard, but with the 49ers at 2-2 and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo hobbled with a calf injury, the 49ers need the Aiyuk of 2020 to show up soon before it's too late.
He's a guy I had to have this year and clearly my intuition is broken as well.Well after 4 weeks I am basically done. Obviously a hold in dynasty and I'm not cutting in redraft.
But I'm ready to proclaim that I don't think I've ever been more wrong about a FF take than Aiyuk v Deebo.
My take on Kupp is right there with it. Woof.
Not too many reasons not to in the off-season.most had Aiyuk being the guy to own rather than Deebo Samuel………..NOT
Maybe it is more of a timing issue and he will "break out in 2nd half of season"? I am hoping ... as I keep targeting him. But most owners are still holding on expecting "Gold in return" (DJ Moore level in return).Well after 4 weeks I am basically done. Obviously a hold in dynasty and I'm not cutting in redraft.

Brandon Aiyuk caught 2-of-4 targets for 32 yards in the 49ers' Week 5 loss to the Cardinals.
Both the catches and yards were Aiyuk's second most of the season, which tells you all you need to know. One of Aiyuk's grabs was an insane one-hander in tight coverage. Although Aiyuk's snaps have been rebounding, the targets have not. We won't pretend to understand what coach Kyle Shanahan is doing, but Aiyuk has yet to prove him wrong with any splash plays besides today's aforementioned grab. It is still close to impossible to believe Aiyuk's involvement won't increase. After the 49ers' Week 6 bye vs. the Colts would be a perfect time to do it.

Blew a big amount of FABB on him last week and was pumped. Hoping it gets better with Lance.
Agree but Deebo is also pretty good. Still reminds me of a young Anquan Boldin.Maybe it's the optimist in me, but target Aiyuk 12 times per game and I'll bet good things happen with him, too. You know, like at the end of last year. Can't understand why everyone thinks Deebo is so much better. So far it looks like all that's happening is he's getting more balls thrown to him. But hey, they're only 2-3 and in last place in arguably the toughest division in the league. Maybe they shouldn't change anything.![]()
yes...I will be generous and say 3.... signed an owner who finally dropped him.Just saw someone do a strategic drop of him today. Won't clear waivers till Monday which means he can't be grabbed until next week. Wondering if he's worth any FAAB next week.
I drafted and dropped Sermon and Aiyuk.yes...I will be generous and say 3.... signed an owner who finally dropped him.
