WR Colston - Inactive Week 12 (1 Viewer)

Sitting here listening to the Saints pre-kickoff radio coverage. The guy who gives the in-game sideline reports for the Saints radio network gave a pretty detailed report on Colston. Running alot of different routes to test the ankle -- looks fine running straight ahead, but obviously having some trouble when cutting hard on the ankle. Just this guy's opinion -- take fwiw, but he's been covering the team for close to 20 years and is thoroughly ingrained in following the team -- he thinks that Colston will be active and get 15 to 20 snaps.Also, one other thing that I'm not sure many people know - Horn tweaked his groin again in practice this week, so he may be somewhat limited today as well.

Great info, Sidewinder. Much appreciated here. If it sounds like Colston is going to play that much, I guess I should start him over Henderson. Did the Saints radio guy have any insight on whether Henderson and/or Copper would play more than normal? Especially considering Horn's nagging injury as well. I guess I could just avoid this mess and go with Reggie Brown or Mark Bradley, but I really want to play the correct Saints WR if I can.

Rotoworld stepped back on this one:Saints declared RB Aaron Stecker, LB Alfred Fincher, S Bryan Scott, CB Fred Thomas, TE John Owens, G Montrae Holland, and T Rob Petitti inactive for Week 12.There are only seven inactive Saints currently and we're waiting on official word about Marques Colston (ankle). Stecker has an ankle injury of his own. Thomas is a starter who was exposed badly by Chad Johnson last week.

I love Henderson today. With Colston out he is definitely Brees' deep threat, and with Horn not 100% i'd say it's a safe bet he has a big day. I'm in the same boat you are, i'm playing against Brees. I usually don't put much stock in the "canceling out theory" but I think today it might not be a bad idea.

It was discussed that Henderson is better when filling in for Colston rather than filling in for Horn.Colston plays the slot guy, as will Henderson today.I am starting him over Gates fwiw.

this is a good thing! i had not heard this. i spent $18 bucks on henderson this week, may he get 6/85/1 +
