Didn't see it but they ruled him out pretty much right awayHow bad did it look?
One of those "Doctor turned Fantasy Football Injury Doctor" just posted this:Didn't see it but they ruled him out pretty much right awayHow bad did it look?
He had a pretty bad limp, but got off field on his own. Don't even think they needed to take a TO for it.How bad did it look?
How’s this persons track record with these predictionsProfootball Doc is not painting an overly dire picture with his prediction. Head up Kuppies, we going to live another day.

Picked up by video a left eversion ankle sprain in the first half of the Rams, past issues to each ankle but we are optimistic he will not be placed on IR or miss multiple games, will track his progress but ankle issue is likely something he can manage in the weeks coming up

He's the best in the business and it's not really very close and have said here before I never quite understood why people follow some of these twitter rando's when you got a guy who worked in the league for 20 years as a team physician. How’s this persons track record with these predictionsProfootball Doc is not painting an overly dire picture with his prediction. depends on severity. could miss just one week, one month, or all of season. we'll find out soon enough but returning from a HAS traditionally has meant the player struggles for a while. still a chance it isn't even a HAS. until we have more info the possibilities have a big range for when he can return to the fieldMy notebook says this injury is his left ankle and not his surgerically repair right ankle?
Is that correct? I'd feel much more comfortable with this being a new injury as opposed to an injury to his surgerically repaired ankle.
Although never a good sign when both your ankles are giving out, but for short-term a HAS on his left leg won't put him on IR, I wouldn't think.

Are you panicking about your fantasy football team? Are the walls closing in? Do you need someone to talk you off the ledge? Well then call 1-800-freakout, typical cell phone charges apply. What sucks about this is the Rams looked awful. They looked like a team that has one option to throw to and the other team finally realized it. Now, without Kupp and Puka, how can we reasonably expect this team to win games?
The easy thing to do is keep their stars out til after their bye and then what? They couldn't win games WITH them, so what will they do WITHOUT them?
Most likely 0-6 or 1-5 by the team one of these guys are back.
I can't imagine we'll see either one of them play again this year.

Ok, you got me there. I don’t recall his suffering what looks to be a high ankle sprain in a game and not playing the 2nd half though.Kyle Pitts was in a walking boot days before his week 1 game.Walking book is typically more than 1 week.depends on severity. could miss just one week, one month, or all of season. we'll find out soon enough but returning from a HAS traditionally has meant the player struggles for a while. still a chance it isn't even a HAS. until we have more info the possibilities have a big range for when he can return to the fieldMy notebook says this injury is his left ankle and not his surgerically repair right ankle?

He played on a pivotal 3rd down right before the end of the half right after the injury. The fact that they were getting blown out at the half probably contributed to the decision to shut him down. I think he'll miss a few weeks but man, the jump to full blown doomsday scenario, I just don't get it. Last week the Packers season was "over". Deep breaths everyone and let's wait to see what the diagnosis is.Ok, you got me there. Rams can't block anyone right now. What sucks about this is the Rams looked awful. They looked like a team that has one option to throw to and the other team finally realized it. Now, without Kupp and Puka, how can we reasonably expect this team to win games?
One thing to be careful of with Morse is he also fancies himself a fantasy expert so he's usually more cynical of guys who weren't his guys before the season. He's kind of an "I told you so" type of dude.J

He thinks potentially high ankle sprain.
I think if McVay could choose a healty OL or healthy group of WR's he's be choosing a healthy OL without question. It's easily their major issue right now.Rams can't block anyone right now. What sucks about this is the Rams looked awful. When they have blocking, McVay and Stafford will get a tune out of Kupp/Johnson/Robinson/Parkinson, whoever. Fewer coaches I trust more to run an offense.
But they cannot block anyone.
but man, the jump to full blown doomsday scenario, I just don't get it.
Walking book is typically more than 1 week.

Agree completely.Never seen McVay as the give up type. Understand they may be in the QB market next off-season but I still think even if they are 0-5/1-4 he will do everything he can to continue to be competitive and try and win.
I was responding to others in the thread there. All I am saying is:but man, the jump to full blown doomsday scenario, I just don't get it.

"more than 1 week" is a "doomsday scenario"?
Wut?

Going to be a struggle for them the next few weeks. Maybe after the well placed week 6 bye they start getting a chunk of players back.

Ah - perhaps it would have been less confusing to quote them. lolI was responding to others in the thread there. All I am saying is:but man, the jump to full blown doomsday scenario, I just don't get it.

I don't know if they fear an age drop off but they've been taking it year to year with him for the last two seasons now. He knows it and why wanted some more guarantees added which they did but not enough to prohibit them from moving on if they choose.why?I think if McVay could choose a healty OL or healthy group of WR's he's be choosing a healthy OL without question. What does this mean for Kupp this year then?I don't know if they fear an age drop off but they've been taking it year to year with him for the last two seasons now. Big sign a team is at minimum putting themselves in a position to move on from a player is when that player has a high base salary and additional years left in their contract and they won't convert that high base into a signing bonus because they don't want to get hit with a big cap charge the next year if they decide to move on. This actually applies to Kupp as well. Stafford has a $23.5m base this year and Kupp's is $15M. They currently have the least cap space in the league. It's likely they have to dip into that well a little and convert some of those salaries to bonus to be able to fill out their roster but the fact it's obvious it's not at all what they want to do is a very telling indicator to me of the plans they are making after this season. I'll stress I doubt any decisions are made, just that it seems to me if they are planning on it if that's the direction they want to take it.

Seemed like the one pick I nailed out of my first 3 and now thisCertainly hoping this is the case.Or a precautionary move.
I’m just never that lucky. Nor has been Kupp.

I agree. I would think if it were really bad we'd have heard something by now. Fingers crossed!!!!!Surprised there is no news on this yet.
Every other injury has been followed up on.
I've learned that time between updates is meaningless, but I admire your optimism.I agree. I would think if it were really bad we'd have heard something by now. Fingers crossed!!!!!
Crazy how many NFL-fan doctors are moonlighting on the side by starting up twitter pages lolJ

New Coach? He's one of the best in the league.Honestly, as someone said yesterday, Rams sold their future for a Super Bowl and they are no suffering from it.
They need a total revamp and probably a few years.. New QB, New Coach, new OL, Rebuild the D..
