As others have said, Puka LOOKED better. Kupp looked like he was struggling to get separation.

Exactly how he looked last night. He does not look like the Cooper Kupp of old.

Recency bias is strong with these posts.

Their targets change week to week. Kupp does more than just run 3 yard routes - he was targeted deep a few times.

The Eagles have a very good secondary. I was impressed the Rams were able to do as much as they did through the air.

But it’s 1 game. Kupp put up 20. That’s the take-away here.

I’d take it week to week. Before the TD he was blanketed all night. Other weeks he’ll be less blanketed against inferior defensive backs.

It's possible. It's also possible that Puka is benefitting from Kupp drawing top coverage. It's also possible that the defensive scheme they face dictates usage to some degree. I haven't seen defenses roll coverage to double Puka.

I don't think it's as cut & dry as saying "Puka has taken over the WR1 role" - it sounds like post hoc analysis based on results, not cause.

I am not basing on results. I am basing it on what I am seeing in games. Puka is running the routes that Kupp used to run. It could be coverages, etc. It just seems like Puka is in the old Kupp role as far as route types. Just what my eyeballs are telling me. Nothing more, nothing less.
