So weird how people are just casually ok with stuff like this. Bizarre country we live in.I hope the cameraman isn't severely injured from his brush with death.

No, not to be shoved to the ground.People in that line of work are made fully aware that they are putting themselves at risk when agreeing to work in those environments.
Absolutely insane that people are worried about a professional athlete’s finances when he is clearly in the wrong. Omg I hope Adams doesn’t miss that 100k he’s about to pay out.I sure hope this is vetted to the 'nth' degree before any action is taken against Adams' playing time, or finances.

Looked to me like the guy was passing by, not shoving a camera in his face. Also, in his "apology" if he said the guy came out of nowhere and I reacted, I might be able to go along with that. He didnt say that. He said it was frustration. No, not to be shoved to the ground.
I agree with you and won't diminish the action. That said, at the height of emotion to have somebody shoving a camera in your face coming from seemingly out of nowhere is probably the best excuse for a shove than anything short of physical contact. Having somebody come out of nowhere to obstruct your path is threatening on an evolutionary level.
That also said, the cameraman was just doing his job and shouldn't get shoved like that.

The cameraman wasn't using a camera and had nothing pointed at Adams. It looked to me like he was stowing his gear when Adams walked into the cameraman's personal space and pushed him down. That said, at the height of emotion to have somebody shoving a camera in your face coming from seemingly out of nowhere ...
Thanks for this. First time seeing this angle. Didn't realize the camera/sound guy was moving forward.Did anyone see this angle? Won't justify what Adams did but I might be OK with just a fine after watching it from basically over his shoulder, it does seem like the camera man, sound guy ran right in front of him or almost into Adams and it sure doesn't look like Adams was seeking out a defenseless victim but the overhead camera shot looks much worse than watching it as if you were walking thru the tunnel into the locker room

After looking at both angles, it honestly look likes neither guy knew the other guy was coming. The camera man looked to be screened by the team personnel so maybe he thought he had a path there. And it also looked like Adams had his head down a bit and may have been screened by team personnel.
Maybe Adams was spooked and wasn't sure who was up in his business. But to me it looked like both guys had no idea the other was there until the last minute.
That being said: Adams shouldn't have done it. And if the photographer isn't hurt he doesn't need to be a doosh and file a police report and try to get money out of this thing. If he got injured then send your bill to the Raiders and let them take care of it.
I’m sure they are all Adams owners and I find it hilariousI hope he does not get suspended but it was a bully/punk move by a frustrated Adams. Can't believe some of you are trying to actaully shift blame.
Yeah, I'm sure you have no rooting interest, raidersraidersraiders.I don't have him on fantasy. not playing this year. too many people let the media decide their opinion for them. I don't. I've seen a number of these same reporters backtrack once they see the better camera angle, but the damage is done.
PREMEDITATED MONEY GRABJust watched it. Why was the cameraman dashing right into Adams way??
No real reason to. Happened at the workplace, for all the world to see. Its all much ado about nothing. Suspend him for a game and move on.Soooo does this mean the NFL will let the court case play out before discipline like with Kamara?
Yeah unfortunately this is probably right. No real fact finding needed. No real reason to. Happened at the workplace, for all the world to see. Its all much ado about nothing. You mean like the guy that was three feet away? You cant prevent everything.at our college games we have cops on the field to protect the players/fans from stuff like this happening.
Davante Adams was charged with misdemeanor assault after shoving a cameraman in Week 5.
The cameraman, a freelancer working for ESPN during Monday Night Football, claims to have suffered a "possible minor concussion" and "whiplash" and filed a police report against Adams. Adams apologized for the incident on social media, but this is clearly not going away any time soon. Adams could face serious discipline from the NFL, including a suspension. His court date is set for November 10. The Raiders have a bye in Week 6.

These players have been doing this their entire professional careers. The photographers and journalists on the sidelines and near the tunnel are part of the every day landscape. The players know they are there, & they can easily run past them without incident. It is preposterous to make excuses for a player committing assault. it’s OK for Adams to be angry. It is not OK for him to put his hands on a sideline photographer. You can’t put this on the photographer in any way. cmon man.are you really not allowed to push someone away who is running right into you with a piece of equipment? people are so goofy.
But the photographer did not jump out of a trashcan. He didn’t jump out in front of him and yell “boo!“. He was very obviously a photographer walking with his camera. The photographer was exactly where the photographer was supposed to be. Davante Adams simply decided to take out his frustration on that photographer. It was not OK.we see videos all the time of people jumping out of trash cans or pretending to be a fake bush or something and startle people in their personal space and they end up getting knocked the F out .....it really feels like that to me....and I think his comment about being frustrated instead of saying startled is unfortunately a bad choice of words when kind of explaining it....we know he was frustrated that is obvious and probably the reason more why he didn't help the guy up than pushing him to begin with.....again if he helps him up instead of walking off, this would probably be more of a "nothing to see here" moment....
you think this photographer didn't know better? is he not also a professional? These players have been doing this their entire professional careers. Shouldn't push the guy, of course, but as on-field media we're not supposed to walk across the entrance/exit tunnel while players are entering/leaving the field for obvious reasons. Not sure why nobody stopped buddy.

That's how he explained it in the locker room. He said he didn't see him until he was up on him and felt the bump, then his immediate reaction was to push. Lines up with the videos I've seen.
I've watched as many angles as I can find....in each one... to be honest it looks like the guy is in a big hurry and cuts off Adams as he is heading into the entrance of the tunnel...that is just my view and the way I see it....others may see it differently.....if the photographer has more spatial awareness and doesn't cut Adams off, this probably doesn't happen.....I don't think Adams was "seeking out" this guy....I really think the guy startled him and he reacted....I think we all have to admit, the camera guy looked like he was in a hurry and cut Adams off...if you see it differently thats fine....I really don't care, it's just how I see it....he shouldn't have pushed him....no doubt....but I can see how he did it as a reaction given being cut off....he should have helped him up, and unfortunately for him saying " I was frustrated" instead of "startled" is what may end up costing him games and some cash...But the photographer did not jump out of a trashcan. That’s the beginning and the end of the discussion over who’s at fault.
The guy who shoved the other guy is at fault. 100%
This part is goofy as hell, I agree.Yeah but... he suffered a possible, mild concussion. He's lucky to be alive.are you really not allowed to push someone away who is running right into you with a piece of equipment? people are so goofy.
Agree, but see my last post. With respect to the "ambulance chaser" aspect of this non-story... I can't support that.

But ya know what would have prevented any sort of frivolous claim or police report?
Not shoving him to the ground. It’s really that easy. Adams opened himself up to this.
At that level, and making that salary, you simply can’t do that sort of petty bs.
