WR DeAndre Hopkins, BAL (2 Viewers)

Clearly, this may mean nothing but..

Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on his knee 'I'm 100 percent'
Have we even found out what it is with his knee? Or when he possibly hurt his knee?
I haven't been able to find it. It could be a complete smokescreen given the fact that Hopkins has missed the last two practices but neither him nor O'Brien seem to be all that worried about his status this week.

Going off of the snap counts, looks like he played on all 63. So if he was hurt during the game, he didn't miss any time.

I think this is a complete smokescreen. Guy played Every snap and I watched game all the way through, not once did he even have to jog to sideline like he was hurt or shaken up. I think it's a way to get veteran rest and I guess you have to make up something for the inj report. Im not an expert on that but it seems like you do have to designate something to a player when they sit out practices, games etc. I don't think you can miss a practice because you want to rest and it's a day off I don't know what designation that would go under.

Ruh roh. I'm hanging on by a thread and Hopkins is my best player left. I'm in the last playoff spot and play the guy just out right this week. Dear god let him be OK.
I'm 8-2 (should be 9-1 if I wasn't an idiot 2 weeks ago), but I feel like my team is hanging on by a thread as well. If Hopkins is out while Odell is on a bye, I am in bad shape. With Luck, Foster and Smith Sr already gone, last thing I can do is afford one more issue. I just need to get through this week and somehow find another gem or I'm likely one and done in the playoffs after feeling like my team was the best a few injuries ago.
Describes my situation to a tee at 8-2. If Hopkins goes down its a disaster. Not sweating yet though

Misses practice today with a knee injury and now hit with Questionable tag.

My season couldn't get much worse at this point. Sorry guys for drafting all these players.

Editing to add the actual link. Yahoo changed him to Questionable. I don't know if they go by NFL tags or there own tags. Just saw it pop up on my phone notification which is why I said "Questionable".

DeAndre Hopkins (knee) did not practice Wednesday.Advice: This comes as a surprise after Hopkins played all 63 offensive snaps in Monday night's win over the Bengals. It's very possible it's nothing, as ESPN Texans reporter Tania Ganguli said Hopkins was present for the portion of practice open to the media. We'll be sure to update Hopkins' status Thursday.More: Tania Ganguli on Twitter

like the previous poster stated, a missed practice 36 hours or so after a game means little.

A Questionable tag by Yahoo on Wednesday should be taken with a grain of salt.

Check back in a few days.
yes, I probably jumped the gun. I saw the questionable tag and was thinking it was an official NFL tag for some reason.
The only official injury tag comes after Friday's practice.

DeAndre Hopkins - WR - Texans
DeAndre Hopkins said his knee is 100 percent.
He's sat out the last two practices but it looks like the Texans are just managing his reps. Coach Bill O'Brien confirmed Hopkins will be ready to play against the Jets on Sunday. Even with the possibility of Darrelle Revis shadowing him, Hopkins remains a top-10 option in all formats.

Smokescreen?

The Jets know that Hopkins will play.

Back at practice today (not sure if full or limited yet). Obviously a good sign.

He's officially listed as Probable.

Yeah, if he can't go, I have to roll with Givens, Seth Roberts, or Clive Walford

Just saw he's probable as of 3 hours ago. :fingerscrossed:

And next week vs revis too ugh. At least the week after that is New Orleans
Revis got burned aplenty facing Watkins, he is not the same lockdown corner we used to know. Still very good but Hopkins will be fine. Try to not overreact, overanalyze and whine.

Also remember there are 4 quarters in football.
If you want to keep posting here, drop the telling everyone not to whine when they're just posting a legit opinion. If you can't do that and can't be cool to others here, you will not be posting any longer.

Can we all agree at this point that Hopkins is on par with Antonio brown as the best fantasy wr in all the land?

This guy is a straight up baller. And he has had the wort hodgepodge of qbs throwing to him, no run game to speak of, and no Wrs pulling coverage away from him.

Just a dominant player.

I didn't get to watch the game. Seemed like Hoyer was definitely targeting him.

Also seemed Houston got ahead early and tried to run some clock and Hopkins wasn't really necessary as part of the game plan.

If Hopkins was playing with a top ten QB he would be unstoppable. I really wanted to see what he could do with a healthy Arian Foster and a solid run game to game plan for.

Time for him to get back to dominating.

Either Hoyer is fired up to play his old team, or Belichek knows all his weaknesses and exploits it. Should be fun.

Could really use 3 TDs from this guy this weekend.
Couldn't we all....

Nice sig, how about those ISIS terrorists they'be been catching there. Must add to the perfection. :P
Ha. I'm usually on mobile, so I forget I even have a sig. That was a quote from Lyle Lovett at a concert a went to in Minnesota years ago. I'm in Texas now, so at least I know if ISIS does arrive, my neighbors probably have a hidden cache of semi auto rifles to defend ourselves.

New England is doing what they typically do...shut down the opponent's top threat. Maybe the second half brings another catch?

Weeden sucks so not feeling really good about this week. I'm really just hoping for at least WR2 numbers at least
I was annoyed he wouldn't hit Terrance Williams earlier- thinking a step is enough, throw the ball, that's all he's gonna get, throw it!

I wonder if he has the nerve to make the throws to Hopkins. Much of his game, now that he's a stud, is coming back for the ball and going up and getting it with the smothering coverage he sees.

Hopkins is 100 times better than Williams. Weeden did get cut and his career could be almost over, there's definitely some reason for him to have learned from that and try to improve and throw it anyway.

Aside from Cox, Hopkins should get open with ease this week.

Did he play with Gordon? Any stud WR where you can think he did chuck it to him while he was covered?

For what it's worth, Dodds has him projected for WR2 numbers. And by that, I mean the #2 overall WR, behind only Antonio Brown.

It's not just Dodds. Mike Clay and Jeff Ratcliffe have him 2nd, John Paulsen and the Sablich Brothers have him 3rd overall, and Scott Pianowski has him 4th. Those are the six most accurate fantasy experts over the last five years, according to FantasyPros. The entire rogues' gallery of fantasy rankers views Hopkins as an elite difference-maker this week.

Whether it'll actually come to pass remains up in the air, but at the moment it looks promising.

This kids so good, he even made weeden look solid. The numbers he put up this season with hoyer mallett Yates and weeden as his qbs...unbelievable
