Just for some (late) perspective … I offered 2 late 2nds to the Deebo owner last year, at the trade deadline - rejected.

For more perspective, this is a dynasty contract league. Deebo was/an expiring contract - he’s a RFA in this league, in our auction upcoming.

Point is. Guy rejected 2 2nds (2.09, 2.11) for a player he’s going to have to pay fake dynasty salary for.

I don’t know if that makes him stupid or smart. Just saying there are a lot of peeps out there who still value Deebo very high.

I’m one of them. For the next 3yrs at least, regardless of team.

Was he contending for a playoff push? Or just refusing to listen to offers? This was more my point about why I posted that Deebo managers want more than what I would be willing to give up. I like the two seconds, but in my Dynasty league, that would have been Marshawn Llyod and Ray Davis. That would have been Troy Franklin and Roman Wilson in my contract salary-keeper league. I would take Deebo all day over those four players combined. I'm unsure how your contract salary league works, but is he tagging Deebo? Or does he have the ability to resign Deebo to a higher contract than the contract he had signed? I think this looks like your league Deebo manager was wise in not making that deal and paying the extra if this was the deal he was looking at.

100% agreed. That’s the biggest one with Deebo. People talk about him like he’s getting Tomlinson usage out there.

That is a great point @menobrown I have seen Deebo take some heavy shots, but you do a good job putting this into perspective. Deebo's aggressive style of play reminds me of Anquan Boldin, and Boldin, although arguably built more ruggedly, had a long career.

Ok, you are going in a different direction then I was thinking as I was focusing on his performance and not injury risk.

But I'll go there and just say I don't think his usage has even the tiniest bit to do with his injury history. It's always been an issue for him, back when he was a very young man in college. High majority of his injuries have been soft muscle pulls, mainly hamstring. Just don't think it's had anything to do with hits, wear or tear.

The word adult gets thrown around in NFL circles pretty poorly. Remember when the Browns needed an adult at QB and decided somehow Watson>Mayfield, and all it cost was the worst contract in NFL history, 3 1st rounders, and their credibility as a franchise.

I would have gladly taken him at 3.2 in my draft (Aiyuk went 3.1) but I felt I had better lock in my RB1 there and took Jacobs instead.

I think many worry about the number of mouths to feed in SF, even though they seem to do just fine with reduced touches, and would rather hang their hats on possible target hogs like the guys you mentioned above. With the 49ers you’ve got to think more in terms of quality over quantity. But, yes, Deebo is a great value play starting in the 3rd.

Got him a ton. Uncomfortably large amount considering his nicks and I was not at all a fan of his RB usage but he's on a close to 1/3rd of my teams. Did not even realize I did a draft on 9/3, 9/4, 9/6 and 9/7 and took him 4 straight times, there were no other drafts in that timeframe. They just kept leaving him, was trying to deviate but just had no choice.

I got him at 4.6 and 4.8 in two of those drafts. Took him 7x in total and highest was 3.8.

All leagues can be different, these are FFPC national type contest and he might have gone a tad lower in your leagues because typically he went after 5-7 TE's had been drafted. Not very often after any QB though so even if you remove all the TE's he was still not rising to level of a second round guy.

The TE's in FFPC do tend to drop players a few spots vs non TEP.

I hated every single carry.....except the one he scored a TD on.

But not at all a fan of using him at RB. A nice 8 yard run where he takes a bunch of contact does not score as much as a catch for zero yards.
