Parker has 50-plus yards and/or one touchdown in 6-of-7 games this season. He's shown little upside, but the consistent floor is there with Parker in this play-from-behind offense. Parker will be a passable WR4 next week at home against the lowly Jets.

They talk about Parker being traded but Miami has him under contract thru next season at about $5M, I just saw Willie Snead was extended 1 yr-$6M, is that guy tons better than Parker? 

For what they are paying him, i'm fine if he stays even thru next year until we figure out long term solution at QB. He might be very beneficial with a high profile rookie we draft, sing a free agent, he could conceivably start here in 3-Wide thru 2020 but it doesn't matter, he is not a game changer.

DeVante Parker snagged four grabs for 57 yards and a touchdown on six targets Sunday in the Dolphins’ Week 9 win over New York.

Three of Parker's four catches came in the second half. The only one that didn't went for a 17-yard touchdown with 6:14 remaining in the second quarter. The touchdown was his fourth of 2019, matching a career-high for the former first-round pick. It also erased the haunting memory of his earlier drop, a catch Parker usually makes in his sleep. The 26-year-old could see a bump in volume if Preston Williams, who exited with a fourth-quarter knee injury, misses time. The Dolphins, who hadn't tasted victory since Week 14 of last year, will aim for another W next week at Indianapolis.

He is still below average in catch rate at 53% which is below his career average of 57% his yards per target averagie at 7.7 also slightly less than his career average of 7.9

The Dolphins fooled around and won a game in part because of this guy.

Parker is clearly Ryan Fitzpatrick’s favorite target and figures to continue to flirt with double-digit pass-game opportunities on a near weekly basis with Preston Williams (knee, IR) done for the season. Still, there will be a fairly low ceiling for everyone involved in this offense, particularly in Week 11 against the Bills’ fearsome secondary. Treat Parker as more of an mid-tier WR3 in a potential shadow date against stud CB Tre’Davious White.

It's another solid game after going off for 135 yards on Buffalo last week. Parker benefitted from Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant leaving with injuries, but he's been one of the lone bright spots for Miami, posting at least 50 yards in nine straight weeks. Parker will be in the WR3 mix for a matchup with the Eagles secondary in Week 13.

I would have accepted less but glad it didn't come to that. Like I said, i think Parker is a phenomenal talent. I'm a Kenyan Drake truther, so I'm willing to hold players because of my belief in them,

It makes sense in the context of the guy buying Parker competing for a title.

I have given up 1st round picks for less in that situation before.

They guy was making a playoff push while I'm reloading. It's a good trade for both teams right now. Likely not so much in the long run.

Similar deal went down at deadline in my league. Contender saddled with JuJu offered up a late second for him. I'd say he is worth a first with no Preston Williams in the picture but with him and the question mark at QB, you basically need to win this year to validate first IMO.

Parker had his way with the Eagles secondary, catching a fourth-down back-shoulder fade over Ronald Darby for a 43-yard touchdown. He opened Miami's scoring in the third quarter, high-pointing over Jalen Mills on a red-zone throw from Ryan Fitzpatrick for his second TD. Parker also drew a DPI in the end-zone to set up another Dolphins touchdown. One of the lone bright spots for Miami this year, Parker has already set career highs and leads the AFC in receiving since Week 6. He's in the WR2 discussion for a Week 14 matchup with the Jets.

I'm not sure what you are referring to here. 

His "catch %" (receptions divided by targets):

2015: 52.0%

2016: 64.4%

2017: 59.4%

2018: 51.1%

2019: 57.0%

Career: 57.9%

So, his "catch %" this year is actually in line with his career average. 

Also, "catch %" is not truly indicative of "drops". Pro-football-reference only lists the past 2 years:

2018: 2 drops = 4.3%

2019: 4 drops = 4.3%

Thus, I don't think his recent "upgrade" is related to any significant change in catch or drop %. And, I don't think that he ever showed any particular "issues" in this area.

I do agree with the risk - maybe not a "ton", but I get it. In my opinion, his problems of the past were mostly self inflicted (e.g. poor diet, not enough focus on good self-care, not enough dedication to his craft (trying to get by on athleticism alone), etc.) and/or injury related. Has he overcome this? I dunno. That is the risk, imo. But, some of the greatest payoffs come with high risk.

I invested in him in '16 as a "side piece" in a much bigger trade. Will he be worth the investment? I dunno. At present, I am satisfied.

DeVante Parker was forced from Sunday's game against the Jets with a concussion and will not return.

Parker slammed his head on the turf following a second quarter reception. He was visibly woozy as he struggled to his feet. He had just two grabs for 28 yards before going down, while this will snap his streak of 50-yard games at seven. Without Parker, the Dolphins have laughably little talent at receiver. If Parker can get cleared for Week 15, it will be for a mouthwatering matchup in the Giants.

Miami Dolphins receivers DeVante Parker and Albert Wilson are indeed in the NFL’s concussion protocol after both made early exits in the second quarter of Sunday’s 22-21 loss to the New York Jets.

DeVante Parker (concussion) was at practice Wednesday in a no-contact jersey.

The same can be said for Albert Wilson after both wideouts were concussed Week 14 against the Jets. It's a good sign for both that they're on the field this early in the week, but their statuses for Week 15 against the Giants remain completely up in the air. Allen Hurns will be the biggest beneficiary if Parker is forced to sit out.

DeVante Parker remains in the concussion protocol.

Parker was officially "limited" in Thursday's practice. Coach Brian Flores said Parker will be in the protocol at least "through the end of the week." He should be considered questionable for Sunday. Parker is the PPR WR22 on the season and should be in starting lineups if active against the Giants' mediocre secondary. Overall, each of Janoris Jenkins (No. 58), DeAndre Baker (No. 126), Grant Haley (No. 104) and Corey Ballentine (No. 130) rank outside of PFF's top-50 CBs this season.

Dolphins signed WR DeVante Parker to a four-year, $40 million extension.

Parker just signed a two-year extension in March. His new deal will keep him under team control through 2023. Parker (55/882/6) is on pace for career-highs across the board as Miami's No. 1 wideout since rookie Preston Williams went down. The $10 million AAV puts him in the Tyler Lockett and Tyrell Williams tier of receivers. It's a nice payday for a player that was perennially on the trade block under the Dolphins' old regime. Parker has never lacked for talent, but injuries and inconsistent play held him back his first four seasons. The Dolphins are obviously counting on the 2019 version of Parker going forward, though fully guaranteed salaries the next two years ($21.5M in total guarantees) makes this a risky investment for Miami.
