WR Drake London, ATL (2 Viewers)

He was the only healthy WR I had amongst my original starters going into tomorrow
Have in my guillotine league lineup already having Kyren and McBride on byes (only 2 bench spots).. if he doesnt play I am taking the 0. I am rolling the dice that I can advance as a 30 + point favorite over the current projected lowest score without London.

Two elite games and a bunch of meh. How come Drake is a consensus top 8 WR ROS?
Outside of JSN, very few WRs are producing at a high-end consistent weekly clip this year.
Fair. I just don't know if I want to buy London when his QB situation is a mess and his OC isn't good.

I want to upgrade my WRs (I have Lamb, Metcalf, McLaurin, Jennings) and think the London owner would accept Judkins in a 1-1 for him (Judkins has great keeper value) but if I am going for a big-time WR I don't know if London is the guy I want to hone in on.

I am hoping someone can sell me on him.

Targets. He is averaging 10.5 targets per game. Only Chase (12.4) and Puka (10.8) are averaging more.

Drake is the most talented WR on the roster, PFF grades him 8th out of 70 WRs. I assume some credit is for his blocking. He had a great connection with Penix at the end of last year for 3 games.

BUT, the oline looked terrible vs MIA. DC Weaver was playing the run to stop Robinson, daring Cousins to throw, and blitzing effectively when he was in passing situations. Just a few weeks ago, their oline was ranked 13th by PFF. The play calling was bad vs Miami - too many deep passes to undrafted Hodge and David Stills!

With a suspect D, and Penix coming back, I expect a good 2nd half from Drake.

I own London in two leagues, one keeper and one redraft (both superflex). I'd trade him for Judkins 1:1 in a heartbeat.

This is true, but only one game has been with Mooney also playing. Since Penix took over, London's huge target volume has been partly a factor of Mooney not being there to siphon off some of the WR targets (and not even including Pitts in the mix). I expect London to continue to be the target leader by a good stretch, but may drop off a bit.

I got sold on him by Matt Harmon. I would scout his videos, but yea the TLDR is he is targeted a lot and if he gets going generally the Team can and will win even in Week 6 when they beat the Bills, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdEkZUSuTuc

Why the struggles? Well QB health is top of mind, and Penix should be back if not this week than next.

Matt Harmon has been a vocal supporter of Drake London, particularly in the fantasy football community, predicting he could be an elite player. Despite some early-season struggles for London, Harmon maintained a positive outlook, noting London's strong target share and belief that he would turn things around. Harmon has highlighted how a new offensive scheme for London has changed his alignment and improved his play.

Not just Harmon but JJ Zachariason has been high on London at least since 2023. It definitely seems like QB play and scheme has held him back for the most part.

I just received a FootballGuys email stating that London is out. I don't see this anywhere and assume it's a mistake. Can someone confirm?

Edit - nvm. They fixed it

Thanks. Apologies to all for the error and confusion.

We failed to update the email template from last week.

We sent a correction email about 4 minutes after the first email. The correction email was delivered about 50 minutes prior to kickoff.

Apologies for the error. Frustrating when trying to move too fast and get our customers the information as soon as it's available.

I've been here forever. You guys are fantastic! You had me scrambling at the last second

I don't know how often Sauce was lined up against these guys, but these are the numbers elite WRs have put up against the Jets

DK 4/83
Egbuka 6/85
Hill 6/67
Pickens 2/57
McMillan 3/33
Chase 12/91

@JoshTheAthletic

Raheem Morris said he had no immediate updates on the injuries to Michael Penix Jr. or Drake London. Both were walking around postgame seemingly with no severe pain.

Really hoping for 1 game max, preferably the same for Penix given how dreadful Cousins was (which partially is responsible for the injury). Can’t afford anything more down the stretch.

I'm not worried about London's injury but man Penix out for maybe the year is BRUTAL for Drake.
Really? Just the opposite. He'd be fine with Cousins IMO but it's week 11 and I just experienced Bowers and Ricky P missing massive chunks of the season over the same injury. Different grades to this stuff but sure sounds like a multi-week injury to me and time is running short.

Worse for people who play in some of the national contest, playoffs start week 13 and don't see him being available.

I just saw London is already ruled out this coming week so not ideal. I figured it was just a bruise.

Urg.
