WR Jaylen Waddle, MIA (2 Viewers)

Anyone just leaving him in the lineup and hoping he plays? Finding that hard to do with a late game start. Need some news by 1 actually otherwise I think I'll sit him
Pondering the same. Really weird how this isn’t being discussed enough anywhere. I saw some tweet before Wednesday comparing the injury to a serious one Tee Higgins suffered last year, and then since then, nothing outside of McDaniel’s brief comment during the presser.

I have my other main WRs on BYE this week and would need to play a not so good option at over him at 1pm. I have no one droppable so I can’t just pick someone up from the later games either.

1-5 with extremely bad luck in points against category, so really can’t risk taking a 0 from a WR slot. Would be a disaster.

I hope it's not that bad of an injury.

Looks like I'll have to lean on Wandale today...

This is why you need a rule that allows you to start a late game player and if he's inactive, insert an early game player, or any other player, as long as it is posted before either player's game starts.

Very much agree

Jaylen Waddle caught 4-of-5 targets for 88 yards in the Dolphins' Week 7 win over the Steelers.

Three of Waddle's four catches came in the first half, with the fourth coming on the first possession of the second half. The silver lining is all four grabs went for 18 yards or more, as he routinely beat zone coverage over the middle of the field. The talent and athleticism are never in question, but the up-and-down volume has left Waddle a weekly upside WR2/3. Fantasy managers have to be comfortable with a matchup against the sieve-like Lions for Week 8.

Wr3? Lmao

Jaylen Waddle caught 5-of-7 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Miami's Week 9 win over Chicago.

Waddle drew a long DPI to set up the Dolphins deep in Bears territory in the fourth quarter, and also had an underthrow cost him another 30 or so yards -- at least -- on Miami's final real drive of the game. Waddle briefly left the game and checked into the blue injury tent in the fourth quarter, but no injury was announced and he returned to play. He's not Tyreek Hill, but it's hard for anyone who drafted Waddle to be upset that he's turned into an easy start every week as a WR1. He remains a must-start in Week 10 against the Browns.

Jaylen Waddle (leg) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Waddle was specifically listed as dealing with a fibula injury. He exited Week 13 against the 49ers with a leg injury but returned to gut it out in the 33-17 loss. The fact he was able to log a limited practice to start the week is encouraging, but Waddle's status will be one to monitor ahead of the team's Sunday night matchup against the Chargers. Because the Dolphins are playing on Sunday night, fantasy managers may want to have a contingency plan in place in the event Waddle is unable to suit up.

Stud stud stud. 70% increase year over year in ypr lol

He was excellent, but lately He's been pretty bad- NGL
Which is it?

Tough to watch Miami the last 2 weeks
We also got a 2nd helping of San Fran in my house trying to watch the Bucs game until it was 21-0 and turned it off.
That was supposed to be the lead up game to take me to the Dolphins-Chargers, not so much.

Rough weekend

He's a stud but I'm not sure what's going on. Injury or just Miami's O being solved lately? lol

Tua is being exposed a bit. He's an average QB in a great situation - but teams probably can game-plan better for that situation now that there's more and more film available.

Jaylen Waddle caught 3-of-7 targets for 114 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 15 loss to the Bills.

Waddle was having a relatively quiet night until he split the safeties for a 67-yard, catch-and-run touchdown grab in the third quarter of the eventual loss. He would leave the field of play with athletic staff on the next possession, only to return one possession later with no update on why he departed. Waddle continues to play second fiddle to All-World wide receiver Tyreek Hill in the new age Miami offense.

Jaylen Waddle caught 3-of-7 targets for 44 yards in the Dolphins' Wild Card Round loss to the Bills.

A day plagued with drops from Waddle is a sour endpoint for an otherwise incredible season from the second-year receiver. Coming off a historic rookie campaign, 2022 presented new challenges for Waddle. He was forced to learn a new system after the Dolphins hired Mike McDaniel as their next head coach. Waddle would also face a massive increase in target competition with Tyreek Hill in town. Despite catching 29 fewer passes in his second season, Waddle’s numbers exploded. He led the NFL in yards per reception (18.1) on his way to 1,356 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Though the addition of Hill hurt Waddle’s target share, he got more downfield work and was one of the league’s most efficient receivers by nearly every metric. Miami's offense was showing some cracks even before Tua Tagovailoa went down with a season-ending concussion. Both factors caused Waddle's numbers to take a slight downturn in the second half of the season. That will be a concern for Waddle and the rest of the team in 2023, but his talent and usage will keep him at the top of the WR2 conversation.

Sidelined for 2 weeks with a torso injury in one report, midsection in another. That's not too specific. He was tackled in practice last week and spent a few minutes on the ground. This is the first update I recall.

>>And McDaniel said the team is being cautious with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who injured his midsection in Thursday’s joint practice with Atlanta. Waddle was among several starters who did not play in the opener. McDaniel previously said Waddle did not sustain a serious injury. The third-year wideout did not practice on Sunday.<<

I have not seen any updates about Waddle's status or what the actual injury is. Have the Dolphins said anything recently?

Wish I could back track the source where I found that information, or perhaps my memory is just foggy. With that said, I guess I recant my statement with no evidence to back it up. Sorry fellas.

Waddle is probably my favorite player in the NFL right now, but some of these stats are looking a bit odd to me. He finished 23rd in targets and that gaudy yard per reception figure really boosted the FF production. Maybe the target share equalizes a bit this year (2022 was the highest of Tyreek's career). Feels like he could be in line for some regression relative to where he is ranked.

Same thing happened last year where real late into the preseason it quietly came out he was hurt. Hopefully this injury turns out to be just as serious as last years.

If anything it shows how bad the Miami beat reporters are, or how evasive the team is when it comes to injuries. Jeff Wilson and Waddle.

Someone out here jumped on me for asking about waddle, he claimed he’s practicing , I assumed he knew he was but I still have yet to see any proof of that, there not even sure he’s playing week 1 so if you have anything post a link. Ok found he’s practicing but there’s no guarantee, he still plays. He could be limited he could re-injure it. I think i might avoid he’s going really high pick for someone who could be somewhat injured, not 100% with a risk of reinjury.
