Eh, I see what you're saying, but the guy I think of when I think of a guy that looked like a running back and never broke because he had a running back's body was Skyy Moore. Now that guy looked like a running back so much so that Andy Reid was saying something about it. That's when you knew Skyy was in trouble.
 
Harmon's take on this kid is impressive. Puts him as a vertical slot receiver archetype, and has similarities to his writeup on Josh Downs coming out of college.

One to watch where he lands.

Jaylin Noel 2025 #ReceptionPerception Prospect Profile 🔥

Some highlights:
- 74.1% success rate vs. man coverage (84th percentile)
- 81.8% success rate vs. zone coverage
- 80% contested catch rate in the sample

Guy is a baller, and I can easily see how he's going to help an NFL team as a vertical slot who can also play a little flanker. You'll love some of the RP comps I threw out in this profile.

In a WR class uncertainty this yr, I know exactly what I’m getting with ISU’s Jaylin Noel. Team that pulls trigger in RD2 should have a difference-maker in slot for many years!
-Undersized, yes. But 4yr player/3yr starter. Final 3yrs: 202-2,586-12.8-18
-Uncovers in a flash. Route suddenness and savvy are outstanding. He’s got it all - tempos, leverage, speed outs, body control, explosion out of breaks and spatial awareness.
-Hands and radius are smaller-than-ideal but he’s reliable and tough.
-Plus, his 20.8 MPH @seniorbowl was 6th fastest among all players and 2nd fastest WR.

He's ahead of his teammate Higgins at this point for me. Anyone else? I imagine his ceiling is a little lower than Higgins, but his floor feels much higher and less of a bust potential. Pending RB landing spots I can see me taking a shot at Noel in the 2nd round. He and Bech are leading the way of my favorite WRs once the big names are off the board.

Bech is another who received praise from Harmon in his writeup, but not so much with Higgins.

Bech is another who received praise from Harmon in his writeup, but not so much with Higgins.

They just both feel safe. Can be used in multiple ways, win in multiple ways, would fit in multiple schemes, and very reliable. Kinda like bargain value Egbukas. I'd temper expectations and draft them knowing I'll likely get a WR3/flex player, and hope they can become a WR2 in the right situation. But in the 2nd round of rookie drafts, that feels like a win to me.

I think Harmon brought it up on one of his recent podcasts, the only thing with Bech is I believe he runs almost all his routes from one side of the field and rarely got moved around the lineup. That does tend to be a pretty big red flag historically for WRs.

Yup, that's why he doesn't like him playing outside and would rather see him employed as a power slot.

Where these guys land and how they'll be employed will be vital for any success.

Absolutely not, for me.
Higgins legitimately might be my WR3 in this draft, behind Travis and Tet. I just get such good vibes from him. I might even like him more than Tet, considering what it'd cost to acquire.
