WR Jerry Jeudy, CLE (1 Viewer)

I expect a lot of ups and downs with Jeudy the rest of the way. A lot of mouths to feed and not exactly a high-powered offense.

Doesn’t help redrafters this year, but next year could really be Jeudy’s chance to shine with a new QB and particularly if Sutton gets signed elsewhere as an UFA.
Imagine if Elway lures Rodgers to Denver.

I just acquired my only share and my hope here is that it gives Teddy or Lock a very reliable chain mover and someone who will have elite separation...sounds like Bridgewater needs this level of risk averseness back into the lineup.

Real concern are the Broncos not stopping anyone on defense and getting gashed in TOP

Jerry Jeudy (ankle) will be available for Week 8 against Washington.

Coach Vic Fangio suggested as much ahead of Thursday's loss, stating he did not "believe it was fair to put [Jeudy] out without any practice" against Cleveland. Potential limitations in his first game since Week 1 is a slight concern, but Jeudy should slide into most fantasy lineups as a WR3/4 (for the time being) in a plus matchup against Washington's secondary, which has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. Teddy Bridgewater will also reportedly be a full participant in practice ahead of Week 8.

Fire up with confidence in this excellent matchup? I imagine Fant and Patrick targets are going straight to Jeudy. I gotta think Jeudy is going to man the slot a lot of the time?

what I wonder is how long it takes him to get back to 100%. Just because he starts is he going to be the same guy pre injury? I’d want to see how he does first game back if you can afford it but I know not everyone can.

What are we thinking on this guy ROS?

is he a WR2? A WR3 with maybe some upside?
Considering Tim Patrick is averaging like 4 for 60, assume 75% of that goes to Jeudy. So Jeudy's base is 3 for 45. Assume 25% of Suttons 5-80 baseline goes to Jeudy. So his floor looks like a 5-60 player. Then assume perhaps he steals some of Fant's share, so his floor is basically his NYG stat line (6 for 70) which is basically a WR2 floor.

Then assume Bridgewater loves his slot WR's that have constant separation. As a Risk averse QB, Jeudy is a QB's dream. The ceiling here is probably WR1 if Jeudy performs to his draft capital and takes away enough market share from the other players.

Assuming Teddy is 250-1.5 to 2 TD's a week.  I don't see how Jeudy doesn't average at least 6-70 weekly given these assumptions, and that is basically conservative.

I'm also thankful he's been given 7 full weeks off since the injury.

I'd be happy if he could replace Tyler Lockett who is widely inconsistent and feast or famine. 4-5 catches and 60-70 yard floor sounds good to me considering he is more talented and has a higher ceiling as well. Not a bad gamble for a WW pickup.

Jerry Jeudy (soreness) rested Friday and has yet to be activated from injured reserve.

Jeudy may still play against Washington on Sunday, but it's possible that the Broncos opt to hold him out until Week 9. Jeudy hasn't played since suffering an ankle injury in Week 1, and his inability to practice Friday due to soreness is somewhat concerning for his availability Sunday. Because Jeudy still needs to be activated from injured reserve, news will likely break on his status before Sunday inactives. Fantasy managers should still have a backup option in place, as the Broncos play in the late afternoon window. Jeudy will be an upside WR3 if he's able to play.

Hmm, I wanted to play this guy next week but I also hope if he plays he's 100% so I'm conflicted. Probably best that he rests. Hate when people  go too early and get reinjured.

Any plan on playing him this week if he’s active?

With news that he might not even play? I definitely wouldn't. Too many times players play a couple snaps then don't feel right and give you a zero for the game... If they said he looked like his old self and he was off injury report maybe if desparate.

I didn’t read that he might not play if active.  Did you?

I meant if there's even one red flag, it's enough to warrant caution. If he plays he's probably not 100% and if he's not 100% there's a risk that he could try out his leg for a few snaps and then sit.

When AJ Brown came back he played 20 snaps and got 3 for 30. You don't want that. He could go 9-100-1 but it's better to be cautious and wait a game before you start him if you can hold. Especially since there are other guys who will be get targeted and you don't know what his share is yet.

Jerry Jeudy caught all four of his targets for 39 yards in Denver's Week 8 win over Washington.

No Broncos receiver recorded more than four targets from Teddy Bridgewater, who only attempted 26 passes in Sunday's win. Jeudy didn't get the start but was utilized underneath and from the slot, trailing Tim Patrick (3/64) in receiving yards and Courtland Sutton (2/40) in explosive plays as the latter recorded a 31-yard gain. The Broncos will likely involve Jeudy more in his second game back from injured reserve, a projected uptempo affair against Dallas.

Thoughts on Jeudy going forward? I know we just have 1 game back but it looks like all 3 are going to be on the field the whole time and very little targets / receptions are going to be flowing from Sutton/Patrick to Jeudy and most of it is coming from the other WRs who are seeing less playing time. Makes me wonder if it's going to be one of those hard to figure out who will go off situations. Ultimately I hope the cream rises to the top but they seemed to spread it a lot and Jeudy may not get force fed like we thought.

Good note is that he still has room for snap count to go up and that he had 1 red zone target, same as his first week. Was only one with a RZ target so may have been fluky.

I own Sutton and Jeudy on the same team. Which makes this whole conundrum even tougher, as I’m scared to start both, but almost always will have to start one. Like you said, I need some cream to rise.

I have to flex Jeudy this week, no choice. Hoping for a miracle or a tleast 4 receptions for 60 or 5 for 50.

Jerry Jeudy has seen a target on 25 percent of his pass routes this season.

It's a strong target-per-route rate for the second-year wideout. Jeudy has ten receptions on 12 targets since returning to the Denver lineup following an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for six weeks. Courtland Sutton, whose fantasy production has dropped off a cliff since Jeudy's return, has seen a target on 19.8 percent of his routes in 2021, but just 10.7 percent of his routes over the past two weeks with Jeudy in the lineup. It's a concerning trend for Sutton drafters who enjoyed top-20 production over the season's first six weeks. He could be a far more touchdown dependent fantasy option going forward.

The Denver Post's Ryan O'Halloran reports Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur in Week 9 used "pre-snap motion and tunnel/bubble screens" to get the ball into Jerry Jeudy's hands.

Jeudy's Week 9 usage against Dallas was markedly different than his usage in Week 1 against the Giants and Week 8 against Washington. Jeudy had an 8.5 air yards per reception in his first two games of the season; against the Cowboys, that number dropped to 3.5. Four of Jeudy’s team-leading six catches were caught one yard beyond the line of scrimmage or behind the line. O'Halloran suggested Jeudy's Week 9 usage could have been opponent specific, but Shurmur's effort to put the ball in Jeudy's hands is good news for his rest-of-season prospects. He would be a more consistent PPR producer while Courtland Sutton would be a more volatile weekly option. Sutton has drawn a target on a meager 10.7 percent of his routes since Jeudy's return. Tim Patrick has out-targeted Sutton over the past two weeks and leads the Broncos with 149 receiving yards over that stretch.

Jerry Jeudy caught 6-of-9 targets for 48 yards in Denver's Week 10 loss to the Eagles.

Teddy Bridgewater also sailed a 15-yard pass over Jeudy's head as the Broncos attempted to crawl back from a 27-13 deficit in the fourth quarter. Jeudy has still encouragingly led the team with a 22% target share in the four games he's been available for this year, rendering Courtland Sutton to an afterthought with a 9.7% target share in those outings. Jeudy will continue to be a high-floor option for PPR leagues when the Broncos return from their bye against the Chargers in Week 12.

In this offense w/ Bridgewater... Jeudy seems like he's in a place where his floor and ceiling are about the same. Count on lots of targets with 5-6 catches and "decent" yardage... but if things break his way you can expect the same.

Yeah, unfortunately this isn't a high passing offense with deep plays where you can expect 3+ TD / 400 yard games frequently like Rams and TB. I still believe in Jeudy and like him but he's definitely limited by this offense that is mostly run first and has 3 good catch passers without an aggressive passing attack. Was hoping for a breakout top 10 ROS where he gets force fed each game. But probably moreso top 15-20 PPR which isn't bad but definitely has a ceiling.

Jerry Jeudy caught 4-of-6 targets for 77 yards in the Broncos' Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Jeudy led the Broncos in receiving yards – by one yard over Javonte Williams – but he only had six targets on 40 Teddy Bridgewater passing attempts. He flashed some nice evasive ability in space, but it was mostly an uneventful game for the second-year receiver. Still, Jeudy has established himself as the clear WR1 in Denver over Courtland Sutton since returning from his ankle injury. Game script may be an issue next week against the Lions, but the Alabama product will have a chance to shine against a soft secondary in Week 14.

Denver needs a QB in the worst way.  They should have pushed harder for Rodgers.  Maybe DeShaun Watson.

Elway will sign a new QB next year, and I’d say one of those 2 are likely the Broncos starting QB

This dude is unusable...With Hopkins out I turned to him this week for a big fat 0. He's on the bench if I somehow make it to the next round. Won't cut him because someone would pick him up and sure enough he would have a big game against me. But been fooled 2 years in a row, not again, next year he is someone elses headache.

I’m getting close to that point, too. Everyone talks about how talented he is and that it’s the QB situation, but maybe he’s just not as good as advertised.

He’s migrating away from my keep 8 roster unless Rodgers or Watson ends up there. But even then, he’s going to have to share with Sutton/Patrick/Fant and in a run-heavy offense.

18 of 234 for 159 yards.  Davante Adams wouldn't be fantasy relevant in this offense.

That’s the point - low volume offense with a lot of mouths to feed. I don’t see Jeudy being a target hog next year either.
I was addressing your comment "maybe he's not as good as advertised".  There's no way to tell in this offense how good he is.

STRONG BUY.

This is the perfect buy low situation.

Paton will get rid of Fangio, nail in the coffin type game, and now no explanation necessary.

And Russell Wilson or Rodgers could be coming.  Jackpot.

Risk/reward no brainer.

His dynasty owners are already banking on those things happening this off-season so best of luck buying him low.
