WR Jerry Jeudy, CLE (3 Viewers)

Next Gen Stats
Former pro and college teammates Jerry Jeudy and Patrick Surtain II lined up against each other on 34 of 57 routes.

Surtain allowed 2 receptions for 20 yards (3 targets) vs Jeudy while the rest of the team allowed 7 receptions for 215 yards (10 targets).

Has the look of a league winner. He did that vs a shut down defense with Surtain around him
Surtain covered him on 3 targets as far as we know. And Broncos seemed to miss Moss tonight.
This.

Without Moss the Broncos played a lot of zone. Backup CB Levi Wallace is a slow, aging vet who got torched all night. Plus starting safety Brandon Jones was out the entire 2nd half so there were communication issues on the back end

Denver's secondary is good but young and not deep at all

I heard a few days ago that many people around the NFL had noticed a leap in JJ's game. Let's take a look at the stats and see.

Jerry Jeudy split stats for the year.
First 7 games:
21 receptions
124 receiving yards
0 TDs
Average per game:
3 receptions per game
17.7 yards per game
0 TDs per game
-----------------------------
Last 3 games:
18 receptions
294 receiving yards
1 TD
6 receptions per game
98 yards per game
.33 TDs per game
Update.
Last 5 games:
614 receiving yards
33 receptions
2 TDs
6.6 receptions per game
122.8 yards per game
.4 TDs per game
========================
He has consistently kept it up.
This looks real.
Jeudy is performing like a legitimate #1 WR and may be posting the best numbers of any WR in the league over the last five games.

Just have this feeling that the Steelers will find a way to shut him down next week, right when we start to believe and can't leave him on the bench (especially given all the byes).

Due to the Jeudy blowup, I have to win week 14 to make the playoffs. He just needed to stay under 14 pts in standard scoring yesterday .. oof

Congrats to all who had him last night. That was a wild game.

Figures. Had this guy in dynasty for 4 years. Each year he was worth less than the year before. Traded him mid-season in a package as a throw in player and he suddenly becomes Calvin Johnson. It's a cruel sport, fellas.

Saved my week from being total despair. He was my second most drafted player this season, after Downs.

The bad. I sat him for Deebo and it cost me two major FFPC playoff games and effectively ended those teams seasons. One of those I tried to switch over to him but was a minute late. Had zero idea the weather was that bad in Buffalo.

But I still had him in several lineups last night. Had heard him all week saying he was going to go off on Denver but Surtain was the reason he was on some benches.

One of those games last night I felt great coming into it. FFPC playoff and I had Juedy and a 5 point lead on the Browns D. Not a given, but felt good about it before the game and was of course easy.

3 other places I had Juedy going I considered it a loss.

One was a long time FFPC dynasty league of mine where my team has made the playoffs all 13 seasons of the league but was on the verge of falling out of the race with a week left. Entered the SNF game with Deebo, Kittle and Juedy and down about 46 and after the two 49'ers sucked that seemed like an obvious loss that would drop me back to seed 8 heading into the last week in a league where 6 teams make the playoffs. Ended up winning by 1.1 points.

Next one was a FFPC Main Event. Went into the SNF game down 40 vs Kittle and I had Juedy/Njoku. Went into the MNF game down about 43 but still saw no way these two would combine for 43 against the stingiest pass defense in fantasy. Turned out to be an easy win.

Last one was a FFPC/FPC $350 playoff I entered the MNF game down 32 with Juedy. I had a notebook tracking my playoff contests this week and had put this and the league I was down 40 with Njoku/Juedy in my loss column. Gave up. Again end up seizing victory.

I had a pretty bleak playoff week, sore I did not start him two places it would have changed the outcome, but I'm focused on the positive today and his game last night saved my week and my entire mood and mindset which was pretty dark after the Thursday-Sunday games.

It’s hard to say how he’ll do the rest of the season but it seems to me that when a player switches teams, it takes some time beyond training camp to get in sync and up to speed. Plus the QB situation hasn’t been stable either.

I don’t like to out guess NFL GMs. If one thinks he’s worth $17.5m a year, I’m a buyer.

I had a massive, presumably insurmountable lead going into last night. He had Jeudy and the Broncos D... So, even a big Jeudy night would temper the Broncos scoring. That was the most bizarre sequence of events I've experienced in 30 plus years of FF play... My massive lead had shrunk so badly that as the clock wound down, a Jeudy TD would have sunk me. The brief relief when the balled was intercepted turned to horror as I realized he could make a 103 TD return, for the third defensive score of the night. Ironically, he was chased down... by Jerry Jeudy.

I don't really get people typing up every last story about starting this, that and the other and what took place exactly, and there is supposed to be a thread for all those little instances which take place a million times every week.....BUT, this is one of the best I ever read so thanks for sharing. That is crazy.

And the fact Jeudy ended up saving your behind is hard to fathom. I'm even surprised that he put in the effort at that point. If only you had video of those waning moments.(y)

And now, I was just reminded of my most improbable moment ever. So let me be a hypocrite for a minute here. I lost a Championship game when Freeman caught that prayer from Favre in the snow/sleet on MNF, and slid for like 5 yards. But I still had it in the bag. However, two morons failed to simply touch him while he was down. So he got back up and ran another 40 yards or so for a TD. The whole league was at a bar watching and I had picked up the tab already because there was zero chance of losing. Wrong.

Forget Tillman, Jeudy is the pivot! Book it!Proof

Told you sooooo!
Tillman has been out the last 2 games though. Historically, Jameis Winston is a fantasy carnival from his tenure with Tampa Bay. You don't focus on one guy, you get as many WRs and TEs as you can.

When he was in Tampa I made sure to grab Breshad Perriman and Justin Watson and they helped me win a Fantasy title down the stretch.

Tough weather day...can you rely on him today? Leaning other options as KC D puts the focus on him now without Njoku.

Weird, but I've been happily starting JJ in two leagues and I haven't actually watched him play since his Denver days. Watching him today he looks like a completely different player; gets separation and Jameis loves him. Must start, esp. with no Njoku.

Agree with the above, although the specter of DTR starting next week is looming. Can’t take that risk with Jeudy if he does.

Part of me thinks Sean Payton was the problem if jeudy and Wilson are still nfl starting caliber
Denver does not miss either of them in the least.

Besides, Jeudy's main problem last year was that he had Wilson throwing to him.
You can’t tell me that Denver wouldn’t love to have Jeudy playing like he is now opposite Sutton. He looks like a completely different player and is always open. Looking elite to me

That's a very narrow way of looking at it.

The Broncos' dumped Jeudy's $18 million salary, which helped them extend core players LT Garett Bolles, OG Quinn Meinerz and EDGE Jonathon Cooper.

They also received two draft picks, which they used to get RB A. Estime in the 5th and WR D. Vele in the 7th (who is well on his way to becoming a solid WR2).

In addition, Jeudy was a horrible blocker which has no place in a Payton offense (together with the diva personality)

So when looked at from a more holistic perspective I stand by my comment 100 per cent
