OBJ is only on a 1 year deal.My question is what will happen next year? Or is too early to say?
Kupp, Woods, Jefferson, OBJ. Someone is bound to be the odd man out of this equation next year.
Odell Beckham caught 5-of-7 targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' Week 17 win against the Ravens.
Beckham out-targeted Van Jefferson and compensated for his low-yardage day with a fourth quarter touchdown that proved to be the game winner in an ugly day for the LA offense. OBJ now has back-to-back games with a touchdown on decent targets, but the yardage has been muted, to be kind. Matthew Stafford had missed OBJ on a few long passes in recent weeks; he didn't see a downfield look against Baltimore. Beckham is clearly the No. 2 wideout in the Rams offense and should be a fine low-end WR2 next week against the Niners.

Seems like he's proved enough to get a shot on another team as the #2 I'd think. Be interesting to see where he lands.OBJ is only on a 1 year deal.
KC would be ideal.Seems like he's proved enough to get a shot on another team as the #2 I'd think. Be interesting to see where he lands.
KC was among the teams which showed interest after Cleveland cut him. Not sure they try again for him, after he picked the Rams. Seems like he will want to be in a big market. He probably stays with the Rams.KC would be ideal.
His famous catch put him in another (undeserved) level - but he did have 3 big time top 10 seasons with Eli - who funny enough he wasnt happy with as QB. Tanked since the trade but still has talent. Is it me or does the media overhype this guy? He hasn’t really done A lot and is known for one catch. Underserved attention.
Talent yes, but is overhyped. It’s not deserved IMO.His famous catch put him in another (undeserved) level - but he did have 3 big time top 10 seasons with Eli - who funny enough he wasnt happy with as QB. Tanked since the trade but still has talent.

Yep.It’s you
in theory, he should have plenty of cash to pay the taxes and let the bitcoin ride.OBJ signed for the end of the season with the Rams for $750K and took all of his pay in Bitcoin. As of today, with the dip in Bitcoin prices, that would currently be worth about $413K. But he must pay taxes on the $750K. If he cashed out today, after taxes, he would only net $35K for his time with the Rams.

Perhaps, but he hasn't done anything in the last 4 years and had 4, 6, 3 TDs the previous 3 years before that. Only his first 3 years deserved the attention.tangfoot said:It’s you
He's been terrible since the trade but he was injured a lot, on a run 1st offense with a pretty lousy throwing QB. Id be interested to see what he would put up in a full injury free season with a solid passing/good QB.Perhaps, but he hasn't done anything in the last 4 years and had 4, 6, 3 TDs the previous 3 years before that. Only his first 3 years deserved the attention.
I’m not sure I would call the last 4 years suddenlyHe has sort of a "weird" resume. He went from phenom to loose cannon to injured loose cannon. It's hard to believe he's quietly (and sort of suddenly) become a 29 year old receiver with a lot of scratches and dents.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said "it wouldn't shock" him if the Chiefs pursued Odell Beckham in free agency this offseason.
Fowler said Beckham returning to the "cash-strapped Rams appears difficult" since the team has committed so much money to Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp for the foreseeable future. That could leave Beckham -- after restarting his fledgling career in LA -- to seek a contender this offseason. "Most agree Beckham fits better on a contender with a strong culture," Fowler said. "Going to the Jacksonville Jaguars or Chicago Bears for the biggest check could backfire." Kansas City expressed interest in OBJ in 2021 and could woo him as a much-needed third option in their highly-concentrated passing offense.

Odell Beckham caught 9-of-11 targets for 113 yards in the Rams' NFC Championship win over the 49ers.
OBJ's 11 targets were second on the team to Cooper Kupp's 14. easily out-pacing TE Kendall Blanton's five for the third-most on the Rams. The 113 yards marked Beckham's first 100-yard receiving game since Week 6 of the 2019 season when he was with the Browns. OBJ went over 100 yards twice with Cleveland. He's been an absolute difference-maker with the Rams, overtaking Van Jefferson as the Rams' clear No. 2 wideout headed into Super Bowl 56 against the Bengals. Look for OBJ to command 8-10 targets two Sundays from now with the Lombardi Trophy on the line.

It seems he can be productive in the right environment FWIWHe has sort of a "weird" resume. He went from phenom to loose cannon to injured loose cannon. It's hard to believe he's quietly (and sort of suddenly) become a 29 year old receiver with a lot of scratches and dents.
I would completely agree! He has shown he wants to stay. However....Watching his body language on the field and listening to his interviews post game OBJ seems very happy in LA. Im not sure if the Rams could sign him next year as they are already over the cap and have Woods coming back - but I think OBJ finally realizes the importance of a good system. Im sure he likes the LA life as well. Even with all the mouths to feed I think he would excel in LA and get his career back on track.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Rams are "certain" impending free agent Odell Beckham will be back with the team in 2022.
29-year-old Beckham's mid-season signing has gone about as well as possible, with the veteran wideout about to max out his $3 million in incentives. The Rams do have an extremely top-heavy cap situation, however, while Robert Woods will be back from his torn ACL in 2022. Beckham has played well enough that there will be legitimate competition for his services if he reaches the open market. Re-signing Beckham could prove to be unrealistic for this star-heavy squad.

Odell Beckham caught 2-of-3 targets for 52 yards and a touchdown before departing with a knee injury in the Rams' Super Bowl LVI victory over the Bengals.
Beckham went down in non-contact fashion at the 3:54 mark of the second quarter. Beckham was able to walk without assistance, spending the second half on the sideline in street clothes. That bodes well for his offseason health. It was another abnormal year for the former all-world wideout, though this one finally had a happy ending. Disenchanted in Cleveland as he returned from his 2020 ACL tear, Beckham forced his mid-season release, with the settlement agreement being such that Beckham was prohibitive to claim on waivers. He sailed through and had his pick of contenders as a free agent, settling on the Rams where he appeared to be a luxury behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. That went out the window when Woods tore his ACL one day after Beckham’s signing, thrusting the ex-Giant and Brown into the No. 2 role. At first merely a red zone specialist for Matthew Stafford, Beckham emerged as something more as the games grew in importance, crescendo-ing with nine catches for 113 yards in the NFC Championship Game. He heads to free agency looking like something closer to his Giants self than Cleveland version, though he is no longer the All-Pro talent of his NFL youth. 2022 will be Beckham’s age-30 campaign. He has said he would like to remain in Los Angeles.

7 TDs in 12 G for the RamsRams don’t win the SB without him this year
The Baker Effect7 TDs in 12 G for the Rams
same # TDs he had in 2.5 seasons with the Browns
And the Woods injury effect. The Baker Effect
Should they not have been? The guy cried and forced his way out of Cleveland because things weren't going well.Media narrative was soooo horrible towards this guy. He’s been fantastic and so pivotal to their success but now who knows if he plays next year
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Odell Beckham tore his ACL in the Super Bowl against the Bengals.
OBJ writhed in pain after a non-contact injury just before halftime in the Rams' Super Bowl win. The free-agent-to-be had caught two of his three targets for 52 yards and a first quarter touchdown, creating separation at will and out-muscling Bengals defenders. The injury -- his second torn ACL in two years -- is a devastating blow for Beckham, whose resurgence as a pass-catching force in the LA offense was a bright spot of the 2021 NFL season. He'll likely settle for a short-term deal with a good offensive team where he might serve as the WR2 or WR3. Kansas City has rumored interest in Beckham.

He was looking pretty good too - what a shame. Crushes his value for next year - gotta hold in dynasty but rough.I dont like the guy at all, but he really came back this year and did his bit eventually. This really sucks for him. I wish him the best and hope hes back for week 1. Horrible thing to happen in the SB.

Dude’s 29 & likely won’t be playing meaningful football again until he’s 30 (November)He was looking pretty good too - what a shame. Crushes his value for next year - gotta hold in dynasty but rough.
I agree. It's kind of sad and I kind of knew (though I never really said anything) that him getting traded out of New York was the worst thing to happen to him. He was meant for bright lights and big cities, and his personality and style didn't suit Cleveland well. His problem was never talent nor dedication to his craft, it was that he was a head case about getting hit and other things. He fundamentally hated getting hit, and the league realized that really quickly after Josh Norman got in his grill (when Norman was All-World in Carolina those two years) and OBJ lost his stuff that game. From then on, the word was out about hitting and getting in his head. Then the diva stuff started, and he was never the same.I fear the worst for his NFL career. We saw flashes of what might have been if the Browns situation hadn’t been so horrific.
