NFL Draft Files
Savion Williams is an INSANE athlete.
Led all WRs with 43 total missed tackles forced (next best was 32!!) while taking snaps at RB and WR.
Verified at 6’4, 220lbs with a 73.5% career contested catch rate. Projected to run 4.4s with a 40+ inch vertical. Drops are a concern.

Won't be a prettier-looking wideout in 2025 #NFL Draft than TCU's Savion Williams (6036v, 228v, 33 1/4 arm, 9 3/8 hand).
Cordarrelle Patterson is the comp.
Credit @TCUFootball staff for running him 18 times as wildcat QB over past two games.
There's "wow" type talent when he gets ball in his hands.
This is a ridiculous spin move for a man his size!

TCU WR Savion Williams missed the Senior Bowl recovering from labrum surgery, but I'm in love with his tape. Of course, he's "my" kind of wide receiver.
220+ pounds
4.3 speed
Wildcat QB with 6 rushing TD and 6 rec. TDs this year
Not sure if we'll get him at the combine but my goodness he could be a huge asset for the right offense. Going to have to scheme him some touches early but he could blow up.
Would be fun to see him in Kingsbury or Mike McDaniels schemes
Elite Drafters
2025 WR Class
Savion Williams. This is no Quentin Johnston. We could be witnessing the next Julio Jones. Tyreek Hill was 5th round pick.
Hill had 500 rushing yards and 280 recieving yard in his lone season at Oklahoma State University. Sounds familiar.
Savion Williams is the next Julio Jones.
Physical freak with insane burst and elite playmaking ability. 6'5 and runs a 4.4.
Savion Williams had a career-high 11 receptions for 164 yards against Texas in 2023.
It’s clear his WR1 ceiling is illustrated in that game.
The elite playmaking is undeniable.
I like both and I agree I like Beck for Dynasty.Big, fast, lots of missed tackles, snaps at RB and WR, questionable hands, from TCU. Where have I seen this before?
Savion is interesting. I think I like his teammate Bech more for dynasty.
NFL Draft Files
Savion Williams has 10 ¼” hands and stands 6’4”, 222lbs.
Easy to see why he has the best contested catch ability in the class.
NFL Draft Files
I love Savion Williams and he’s the best athlete at WR in the class.
But uhhh he’s not Julio Jones. He’s supercharged Cordarrelle Patterson mixed with a bit of (better) Chase Claypool.
In the right situation, he’s a Pro Bowl caliber player.

TCU’s Savion Williams is a fun chess piece. Big 50/50 ball receiver with his physicality + body control but also moonlights at RB and is a Freaks List guy
Williams had 11 runs of 10-plus yards and an 88.9% contested catch rate last season.

Athletic Profile
Strengths & Weaknesses
The freakiest tape of any athlete in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Williams was productive as both a WR and a RB, displaying unbelievable agility, burst, and speed for a 6’4, 220lb player.
Totaled 933 yards and 12 TDs in 2024.
Williams’s most underrated strength is his ABSURD contested catch ability (73.5% success rate), far better than the likes of elite prospects like Travis Hunter, Justin Jefferson, Drake London, etc.
These are magnificent reps displaying ball tracking and strength in traffic:
Williams has the requisite athleticism to be a good route runner and have a dominant release package, but overall he’s just a bit inefficient and undeveloped right now. The flashes are there but we need to see more.
His testing numbers (or lack thereof) were surprisingly pedestrian considering what we were expecting based off this film. But, the tape is FAR more important. In fact, the correlation for athletic testing numbers and WR success isn’t even that high!
Williams’ biggest question mark is his production as a true wide receiver.
Two glaring flaws are present in his metrics:
1.56 yards per route run
11.8% drop rate
(h/t @CFBNumbers)
Williams will unnecessarily jump for targets when coming back to the ball. He generally has some lapses tracking. Needs to clean this up in the NFL.
I will say though, the ball placement was lacking on a lot of targets. His hands are a bit better than his drop rate suggests.
Final Verdict:
Savion Williams is the most exciting WR prospect in this draft—unique skillset, highlight reel catches, and insane RAC ability. He is unrefined but has the tools to develop from a gadget player into a legit WR.
Grade: Late 2nd round
Comp: Laviska Shenault+
Complete project as a route runner. Feels like a gadget/go ball only type. Its all catch point wins or screens. 19 of his 60 catches were WR screens. Lots of push offs too. Probably is mostly a special teams guy in year 1. Probably could do worse as a 3rd round flier but could also be a waste of a pick. This guy is super interesting to me. A bit on the older side (24 in November) and the receiving production is not eye popping, but multi-functional (used out of the backfield, played QB in high school) and is about as physical of a specimen (strong as SH, sub 4.5, 6-4/222, 600 squat, 355 bench, 40 vert, etc) as any receiver in this class. I tend to fall for these types and it usually doesn’t pan out, but will definitely be keeping an eye out which team drafts him. Would be curious if anyone has watched a lot of TCU what their thoughts are,,,

If he were shorter, I wonder if he'd be getting some RB talk. Which I guess is where the Patterson comp comes in.

Savion Williams has a ton of juice.
More than half his rushes were wild cats.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst talks about drafting WR Savion Williams in the 3rd Round
“Didn’t think I’d be up here talking about taking two receivers but when he was up there…just another one of our staff favorites across the board.”
It seems like the Packers often double-up in the Draft, and it also seems like the later pick often wins out. (Jamaal Williams / Aaron Jones) (Luke Musgrave / Tucker Kraft) (Christian Watson / Romeo Doubs) (Jayden Reed / Dontayvion Wicks)97.3 The Game

I think Watson is leaving a bad taste in the mouth of the staff. When he's not hurt, he's dropping passes. Dude has completely fallen off.Is Wicks in the most danger of being discarded or maybe Watson?
I'd love to see them hang on to Wicks. He drops a ton of passes, but he runs great routes and is always open. If he can figure out how to hang on to a pass he's got serious potential. Is Wicks in the most danger of being discarded or maybe Watson?
Watson is done. Not convinced he will even make it onto the active roster this year. It would require him to be fully healthy…..that might take until mid-season.Is Wicks in the most danger of being discarded or maybe Watson?
