WR Tyreek Hill, MIA (9 Viewers)

Kurt Benkert
I would not be shocked to see the Dolphins trade Tyreek Hill on draft night.

My ideal landing spots for him are Dallas and Baltimore.

With Dallas, they get to add some fire power which they will need to compete in their division this year. It would also take eyes off of CeeDee Lamb - allowing for both of their efficiencies to go through the roof.

With Baltimore, he would be able to join an aging roster to help close the gap in their AFC title run - and would be the best receiver Lamar Jackson has ever played with.

What do you guys think?
Does Dallas really have the cap space to take on Tyreek?
Of course- Parsons is eating up $24m, when his extension hits, that # will be lowered, and their starting point is already $40m.

I wouldn't mind seeing what he could do with Jayden Daniels.
Do they have room there since signing Deebo? Might be too many mouths to feed, too many cooks in the kitchen. For fantasy purposes he needs to go somewhere he can get 10 targets a game and a QB that can hit him on the deep routes. I noticed in Hill's last interview he had a brace on his hand. Wonder if he got that wrist surgery finally. His wrist was all messed up last year. If he can get back to 100% healthy he could have a good season in the right fit.

If he stays with Miami that would be good, as long as his head is in it. As a MIA fan I'd like him to stay as he an Tua had a good connection. Only problem is I think Hill has too much going on upstairs and it is becoming a problem for the team. A fresh start in the right spot could be good for Hill but there is also a chance this is the downfall....

The only way IMHO tyreek is going anywhere is if Miami sees a WR they like fall to them and they can get a pick that addresses a different need like OLine or D Line.

This draft has very few "difference makers" at WR and Miami is in "run it back" mode with the team they have (and I fully expect them to blow it up if they fail this year and Reek, Tua, chubb etc will all be jettisoned for rebuild #7)

He did have wrist surgery end of February.

You need to hire a family manager at that point just remember names and birthdays. Can’t imagine how complicated that would be to keep track of everyone (if that is what he does).

I hope Hill can manage one more really good year and ideally it with Miami. Last year though there were so many red flags that started to pop up and by the end of the season Hill said he was done! He even posted an AB reference with a picture of when AB left mid game.

I honestly think Hill might lose it totally this year. I sure hope I'm wrong as he can easily put up 1500+ yards and 10 TDs if he keeps his nose clean.

He and Musk are running neck and neck for fathering the most children

Is this a recent call or an old one and they are now getting a divorce?
So much off field trouble since he arrived in Miami
It is only getting worse which is unfortunate to everyone involved. I don't think he is quite right anymore. Seen it happen so many times and it doesn't end well.

I am a bit surprised he has made it this far without a major legal setback that truly destroys his career. Smoke usually equals fire.

No doubt a lot of work to put out the fires in the background are currently going on.

That's what I keep saying and these incidents do not help Miami moving him along. I'm not so sure the market is as wide as Hill thinks
Do you believe the Chiefs would welcome him back? i don't think so although i've never read disparaging remarks from former Chiefs' teammates

Certainly playoff teams should strongly consider bringing him in for a short term of 1-2 years, he has the explosiveness still to make an impact but his head is out of whack
I hope a lawyer that he pays well actually stands up to him and lays it out, what the future holds for him.

I smell BK-Bankruptcy Court in the not too distant future which is sad with all the money he's collected thus far.

Recent. Don't know if they are getting divorced(yet).

No charges filed, case closed.
I usually never have to ask but this is a joke, right?
This guy has a laundry list of things piling up off the field since he touched down here in Miami
This is not the first time

-Maybe I read this wrong and i'm not trying to make you feel bad in any way but the story reads like Hill took his baby and started walking out towards a ledge or window or terrace and I'm assuming he wasn't on the 1st floor so mom called 9-1-1

I don't care if the cops showed up and everyone involved said "nothing to see here" but if that man grabbed the baby, one of his many 12 and did this in front of the mother he opted to marry of his own free will and create life and then used that life to threaten another, about as heinous as it gets even if the cops let them off the hook

SMH

What a surprising response.

I offered no commentary. You asked a few questions I answered with the reported facts.

Yeah, I think maybe MoP was reading into the second line of your post, that you were saying "no big deal, we're done here, nothing to discuss". But you were just saying the facts of the legal situation.

The story I read said "High rise apartment"...so I'm assuming he was pretty high up if he did indeed dangle the baby. I'm getting serious Antonio Brown 2.0 vibes.

I got the same vibe but in the video he wasn't dangling the baby. He just looked over the balcony on the 35th floor with the kid in his hands. The MIL may have gotten AB vibes when he grabbed the kid away from the mother. Will the 🐬 follow up? They should.

Hey, maybe the Chiefs take him back for one year and look to make a run. Maybe Andy could help keep Hill on the right path for at least a year. Not a bad move actually for the Chiefs and Hill.

If we can dump this contract…..all for it.

If we can dump Waddles…..all for it.

Tua will be dumped after 2026.

This is a piss poor football team with a lemon of a QB and stinker of a head coach and GM.

Rebuild 7.0 incoming.

Two things can be true.

Tyreek puts himself in a lot of precarious situations and makes a lot of poor decisions.

There is no player in my history of playing FF or watching the NFL that has had more instances where fans/fantasy owners panic, assume the worse, assume his guilt, and think he did something wrong that will lead to suspension or worse that actually lead to nothing. He has in fact never been suspended for one single game in his professional career.

You don't have to be suspended to cause issues for your team and be toxic. I know what you are saying but this is a guy that said 100% he was out after his last game even posting an AB picture.

There is A LOT going on in the background with this guy. He has 10 or 12 kids now and 5 were within a year of each other all with different women I believe.

Guy is not right and teams can only put up with it for so long. I say this as a Fins fan and someone who has Hill on my dynasty team.

trying to break Travis Henry's record?

The guy had obviously made a TON of money. It will be fascinating to see how quickly he manages to blow it post retirement.

well, if you dump Tyreek might as well dump everyone and do a full rebuild. I think given Tua's health they only have one good year left (maybe 2) so perhaps Miami tries to keep him one more year.

all I know is given the size of that contract and the off field issues starting to creep in, I dont know that Id be interested in acquiring that contract regardless of the skill he brings. one stupid move by Tyreek and that contract becomes an albatross around the neck of the team.

I dont want that risk if I'm trying to build a contender.

:hifive:

Honestly.....broke is probably on the upper-end of possible outcomes for Tyreek 10-15 years down the line.

He's a flat out bad guy who has gotten away with a lot it because he can run really really fast.

If he's not in jail by the time he's 40, its probably a win.

I know we are getting a bit off topic but there is no guarantee he has saved any of it. Like I said earlier we have seen how this movie plays out.

Grier said in a press conference yesterday that no team has called Miami about Tyreek Hill
This will be Hill's last year in a Miami uniform because next year he is north of $50M for the cap hit BUT not much dead cap
Release Spring of 2026 and Miami will save $36M in cap space
Summer 2026 they can save about $3M more, my guess is he will be traded at the deadline for very little and the team that gets him knows they are just renting him out

Hill could be on a serious Playoff contender come October, doubt he would be in Philly or KC but a team like Washington still might want some more speed with Daniels at QB
There are a handful of teams we will need to see, don't rule out the Bucs or Falcons if they get off to a decent start.
My April hot take

You ready to concede that I was right that this (Hill acquisition) was a bad trade?

ADP sure as hell had fun trying

Miami drafted exactly zero wrs. He could still get moved, but id assume he plays a majority of 2025 in Miami. I've always loved Tyreek the football player. All off the field drama aside how we feeling about him? Fantasypros has him at wr13 for upcoming season. Any value there with him as your wr2?

Traded for Tyreek this off-season to hopefully bolster a good roster into great.

But now everytime this thread gets bumped I get leery when I go to click on it.
Yeah everytime I see it bumped, I think "Oh no... 😔"
That feeling is usually reserved for retired players. This guy is still in the NFL yet I just assume it's off-the-field news.

For me the best Tyreek news this off-season is the signing of Wilson. I know I know. I get it. Last years drop off after Tua was basically one of us throwing the football. Just brutal to watch. When Tua does go down this year at least Wilson can kinda run an NFL offense. Barring some crazy off season incident, which is really a coin flip, I see a top 10 finish for Hill. Just turned 31, physically still has it. Please keep it together mentally. Please just play football.
