It hasn't changed since launch. I've had Xbox One available to buy at any time in my store. We had a PS4 ship last week and it sold under an hour.

They seem to be betting an awful lot on Titanfall. If it doesn't end up being the next Halo-like series than they're going to be in trouble. If it is, I would expect their sales to pick up a good bit.

I can't speak to the future but it seems like it was a good bet. I went into the beta not really expecting to like it (not a big COD guy and it looked like more of the same) but was blown away. That reaction does not seem to be uncommon on the net.

Is it enough to overcome the gap in perception/sales? Doubtful. But probably enough to at least keep them in the game. I was considering switching to the PS4 when the XB1's big exclusive pitch was Halo and Call of Duty With Mechs. But now that they've officially added Gears back in and I've found out that Titanfall is actually really, really fun I'm probably hooked for the life of the console as primarily a MP gamer. For people that typically prefer single player games I don't think it will make a difference, as Sony still has a big edge in exclusive franchises there and obviously has the advantage in multi-plat games.

I have come to prefer using the XB1 over the PS4 for Blurays because of the ability to use voice commands, but the interface is still really problematic when you need to actually navigate through a DVD menu tree. Voice commands are completely useless for this and the iPad/iPhone app can be pretty buggy and outright unresponsive at times. The same problems are also present when using the XB1 controller too. Frustrating.

My personal opinion is you will see a boost in Xbone sales, but it will be equal to or less than the amount of PS4's sold in Japan. It will definitely help xbone from completely falling out of the sales race but I don't think it will close the gap at all.

Yep. For people on the fence who want Titanfall the X1 is now only $40 more than a PS4 (less if you factor in tax on Titanfall if you bought it separately).

It's difficult to say since Titanfall on the 360 may cannibalize the X1, but there are a lot of people looking for a reason to upgrade. A million would be a stretch since my guess is that most current X1 owners bought it with Titanfall in mind.

I suspect MS will need to make these bundles for all of their big exclusives. I'd expect another one for Kinect Sports Rivals coming in April. It may come down to them including a free game with every system just to make them competitive (~$35 more) with the PS4.

I am shocked quite frankly that the xboys on FBG can't take a little ribbing, especially since I have experienced the Timmays on 360 Call of Duty.

Just wanna say, MS's performance at E3 will be discussed in business/marketing classes 25 years from now. That event completely changed the mindframe of all potential buyers myself included. I was Xbox for the previous two generations, after E3 I said I was done with Xbox and switched to PS4 since I didnt care for the "vision" of Xbox since they were not prioritizing video games, but the media components.

That is a theory I had not considered. When you are buying other products do you intentionally avoid people that know things about the brands you are comparing? To me that is a little too paranoid. Looks like thief is a having issues on the PS/4 based off Ars review.

On the visual side, the PlayStation 4 version I tested was surprisingly stuttery, with noticeable slowdown and frame rate drops during many sections. Load times were long enough to be annoying as well; every death or new section of town meant a wait of 10 to 15 seconds.

Imagine how slow it would run on the XB1

That's why they made it 900p...

Yet reviews are still stating the lag pretty bad on it despite the lower resolution.

The 360s came with the wifi built-in. I switched to using wifi when I got that and never really noticed much of a difference, however my PS3 downloads were always much slower (the two consoles sit right next to each other).

Sure, but eventually I had to buy a newer 360 model that had it built in after sending mine into MSFT or returning it to Target off and on for a few years.

Never had a problem with the wifi in my PS3, but it's basically a brand new model. That would have been infuriating given the GB sized patches that I'm frequently having to download (God of War was the worst).
