Romo = Awesome

I'd rate Big Ben way ahead of Eli Manning.

And I put Roethlisberger ahead of Romo, even though most might disagree.

Roethlisberger

Romo

Young

Manning

Campbell

Anderson

Lienart

Cutler

Smith

Russell

Schaub

and change

just my 2 cents

Only 3 I would want

10. Ben Roethlisomthin'

9. Tony Romo

1. Vince Young

2. Eli Manning

11. Jason Campbell

5. Matt Schaub

3. Matt Leinart

4. Jay Cutler

6. Derek Anderson

8. JaMarcus Russell

12. Aaron Rodgers

7. Brodie Croyle

14. Alex Smith

13. Tarvaris Jackson

In order

1. Ben Roethlisberger

2. Tony Romo (although he's not really that young)

3. Derek Anderson

4. Jay Cutler

5. Vince Young

6. Eli Manning

7. Matt Leinart

8. JaMarcus Russell

9. Jason Campbell

10. Matt Schaub

11. Aaron Rodgers

12. Brodie Croyle

13. Alex Smith

14. Tavaris Jackson

Big Ben or Romo hands down.
These are the two I'd pick and everyone else.....but also keep in mind that these two players also have a ton of talent on both side of the ball.Yes, they both do a good job as well but we in general all underestimate how much other players effect how the QB truely performs. It is no accident that Tom Brady is having his best year as a passing QB the year he gets Randy Moss and Co.It is no accident that Peyton Manning had his worse night as a QB last Monday night when many of his starters were out around him.So, I'd still probably want Ben or Tony Tomo out of the group, because they have proven at least that when put in a situation with good players, they'll perform well. But I wouldn't be surprised if out of that group someone else was put in that same situation, they'd also do well.

Aaron Rodgers. Because I am a Packers fan and all these other guys would cost a ton in a trade....well not Jackson. Seriously thought, I'd go with Big Ben. I just think he's a little better than Romo and Eli. I haven't seen Schaub play.

Just curious what you have seen in Eli Manning that makes you rank him second. I think he has looked very ordinary so far in his career.
No way I'd put Eli over Ben but I will say I've been more impressed with Eli than most people. I think he gets the raw end of the stick many times just because of his last name. Now, he didn't play particularly well against Dallas, especially in the 2nd half but in general, I think he's played pretty well this season. I think he's better than an average QB but again I wouldn't put him higher than Ben or Romo.

Godsbrother, you're too nice for your own good. I think there's better words to describe how Eli Manning has looked than "ordinary". Like "jittery", "inconsistent", or "convinced that his receivers are 14 feet tall". Long live King Overthrow!
Why is Jason Campbell being ranked so high?
His sterling 6.6 yards per attempt? Too bad he had a 3-TD day last week, or I'd be convinced that it was his upside-down TD:INT ratio.

ben and romo are ahead of everyone else. after that, it's an interesting discussion.

i could build a franchise around eli, schaub, campbell, and i guess we must consider derek anderson.

all those guys are ahead of the rest, imo. i really have no idea how cutler, young, and leinart will turn out. there's still a chance all 3 could be pretty good or just another QB.

What's Derek Anderson have to do?

I'm not saying he's at or near the top of that list, but some people don't even have him in their top half. Have you watched this kid play? He's cool in the pocket, makes multiple reads, throws the ball right on the money, and is a decent runner. For them folks that don't believe in Anderson, what's he going to have to do to make you believe? Because this season he looks better than anyone on that list not named Romo or Roethlesberger. Winslow and Edwards are young, the future looks bright, yet he's still an afterthought.

I think he defeinately deserves to be in the discussion.

I agree about Anderson. What amazes me is that people have Vince Young so high. Is everybody still transfixed by the Rose Bowl? Listen, this guy is not a good NFL QB, and I don't think he'll ever be one. He can't throw the ball. For me, he's somewhere at the bottom of the list. I think Alex Smith has more upside than Young.

Is this an NFL discussion or FF discussion?
Both. I want to know which QB you guys would pick to build a franchise around and why. Would you want a scrambler like Young or a pocket passer like Schaub, or perhaps the perfect combination (IMHomerO) in Jay Cutler? What do you perceive to be the strengths and weaknesses of this QB? This is not necessarily a ranking. I don't get to watch as many games as I'd like, so I'm hoping to get as much insight as possible.
