Your biggest hit of 2024? (1 Viewer)

My top 3 :

- Ignoring the early missed games with Higgins. When he played, he was beyond worth it.

- Mayfield. Was probably the last guy to grab a QB in that league.

- Hubbard. Helped cover for the McCaffery debacle pretty nicely.

Lots. Killed it with Henry/K Williams as my first 2 picks at 1.10 in a 12 teamer. Chris Godwin was a GREAT pick before he went down. Brian Thomas Jr in the 8th? Yes sir. David Montgomery as my RB3. Worthy in the 9th. Sutton late as my 7th WR. Needed em all after losing Godwin/Aiyuk/Olave all within a week

Probably my best draft ever. High points for the year. Love was a big miss and cost me
the title

Drafted Bowers as my TE1 in Round 9

Goff off the WW - scored 27.83 per game Weeks 11-16

Traded Hall straight up for Gibbs after Week 6 - Yahtzee

Cook in the 4th - never gonna complain about an RB2 who finishes Top Ten and scores 17 TDs

Bombed on too many WRs though, finished 5th...for the sixth time in the last 20 years in my primary league.

That is the most common finish I've had. That's a playoff finish of L-W-W, and a lot of years of being the high score from the consolation bracket Weeks 16-17 (formerly 15-16.) The worst.

• Bought low on Darnold in one league, bought somewhat more expensively in another.

• Off a down year, acquired Jacobs for a fair value.

• Chase Brown - acquired cheap in 2 leagues. Wish I coulda pulled off the 3rd.

Saquon (got him at 2.01, but still seems like a steal)
Cook (4.01 but finished top 10 and was super consistent all season)
Kittle (6.01 but got him as the 6th TE off the board)
Irving (15.12 and the “Mr Irrelevant” of our draft)

Best 3 picks in redraft:
2.9 Derrick Henry
11.4 JK dobbins
14.9 Bucky Irving

Best in dynasty
Trading for the 2.1 in SF while on the clock in order to draft Brian Thomas jr
Maybe - rookie pick 7.15 Jalen Coker
Maybe - trading Garrett Wilson for Rome Odunze and Bucky Irving

Superflex PPR 10 teams, champions
Lamb 1.1
Daniels 4
Cook 5
Kamara 7
Godwin 8
Ekeler 11
Brian Thomas 15

Made up for
Garrett Wilson 2
Dak 3

Waiting on QB in our auction. Ending up with Daniels and Nix cheap

Runner up is gambling on the health of JK Dobbins and getting him super cheap as well

Traded for Henry mid-season in a dyno. Literally was the difference between advancing or not week 16 and it'd take something crazy tonight for me to lose the title.

Not mentioning the obvious cast of players like Ja'Marr Chase, I would go with Chase Brown, BTJ, McConkey, and Jayden Daniels, no doubt.

BTJ at the 9/10 turn probably (12 team .5ppr).

Honorable mention to picking up Baker off the wire week 1, although it seemed between him and Jayden I never started the correct QB.

Jerry Juedy would probably top my list which for a guy who is WR25 in PPG does not sound great, but it's better then it sounded for me.

Sheer volume along was huge. Drafted him on 13/24 redraft teams and 8/12 BB teams. Probably took him in range of WR60-65 on average. Barely used him, in some leagues not at all, during the Watson stretch the first 7 weeks so his poor performance during that time was not so bad. But to get WR7 right now in PPG for weeks 8-17 which of course are the money weeks on close to 60% of my teams for what was usually a round 12 type pick was probably my best overall value pick of the year.

Drafted Godwin as my WR3 in 3 leagues and was sitting pretty til the injury.
Dobbins in 2 leagues and road him (til injury) when he outperformed early RB picks like Etienne.

Terry was a great value at his ADP. And yes Daniels was huge. Drafted him in a 1 qb league where I already had Mahomes and ended up starting Jayden almost the entire year

We have a discussion about our biggest bust, but what was your best draft picks/trades for this season?
SuperFlex presumed championship team

Baker Mayfield at the 7/8 turn as my QB1 after ~20 QBs were already gone in a SuperFlex league. QB4 on the season and all the Qbs scoring above him were drafted in the top 30 picks not 96. Sam Darnold is only other QB anywhere close in value for the draft pick.
I also picked up B. Irving and J. McMillan before they were starters because I had Mayfield and found the potential hook-up attractive. So that compounded his value; especially down the stretch where I started all three Tampa guys.

I never found a decent QB2 to play in the Superflex spot or cover a bye week. Other than Sam Darnold and Bo Nix all the QBs drafted after Mayfield stunk. Playing a WR4 or RB3 or TE2 over a QB2 at SuoerFlex is usually a bad idea but that didn't matter because I drafted:
Brock Bowers at the 11/12 turn as my TE3 behind Mark Andrews and George Kittle. I was laughed at because who wants three TEs where you usually only start one? Turns out TE1 and TE2 overall can score as much as all but about the top 12-15 QBs each week. With Mark Andrews on the bench for injuries and byes I never had to pick which great TE1 to start. I just plugged Bowers/Kittle into TE1 and Kittle/Andrews in the SuperFlex spot.

I nailed my first six picks(minus Andrews perhaps) but I wasted every pick after that except the Mayfield and Bowers picks at the end of the 7th and 11th rounds.

I'll also give an honorable mention to David Montgomery who I drafted and started on all my teams and made the playoffs with all of them.

In another league with a salary cap and keepers where I'm about to lose the finals I was planning to draft Brock Bowers with my first round pick. But I talked myself out of it because I already had Sam LaPorta locked in and didn't figure I needed a second keeper TE when you only start one. I won't be keeping my first round pick and the lesson is draft top talent when given the chance even if you already committed to somebody else. I also drafted Jared Goff as my QB2or3 when I didn't really want more QBs because I didn't want others to beat me with him. That worked out ok except wasting the earlier pick on a QB.

Crazy that this team was starting players like Jake Ferguson, Wan'dale Robinson, and Trey Sermon early in the season. Ending roster:

Q: Jayden / Baker
R: Bijan / Henry / JK
W: Tee / Jamo / Jeudy / Marvin
T: Njoku / LaPorta

Popsicle standed just enough IDP production around Budda Baker and didn't give up much draft capital along the way.

Grabbed Brian Thomas Jr. (late) in more than 50% of my leagues.
One of the only things I was right about this year (i.e Etienne, LaPorta, Hill, etc.)

I play in a league where kickers can make a difference, with slightly-inflated scoring.

Started with Aubrey, ended with McLaughlin. If I had stuck with Aubrey, I would have barely lost in week 17. Respect to the no-respect position!

Jayden Daniels for sure. Won me one league and got me to the championship in my other.

Brian Thomas Jr. Solid all year.

McBride. Really turned it on for the playoffs

I traded for him in the preseason as I had a really bad BYE situation. Posted it to the dynasty trade topic to lukewarm reception.

Happy to roster him now. Hope he gets traded off of that clown car in CLE.
