Wife hung out with Kari Wuhrer in Vegas for a few hours, said she was cool. Also met Eliza Dushku on same trip and she was the opposite of cool.

Wife passed out on Trent Reznor's foot at a party in New Orleans.

I wish mine were as cool. Near miss with Adam Sandler (I know his cousin), who played a show at my college and I opted to "study" rather than go out with him for beers. Oops.

I've played hoops with and hung out with Sean Rooks (NBA player).

A good friend of mine's cousin is married to Matthew Lillard (supposedly a cool guy), and there were a few instances where he was supposed to meet us out for dinner/drinks but never happened.

I think that's about it.

I've mentioned before that I lived 2 doors down from Jerry Sandusky. Also lived next door to the late, great Charlie Sifford and down the street from the not late, not as great Earl Boykins.
Any stories/rumors about Sandusky before he went to jail?
Nope. Totally normal. Had cookouts with him. My kids would cut through his yard to play at the grade school behind his house. In hindsight that may have been a clue.

I was a waiter when I was in college. During that time, I served Ernest Borgnine, Ron Howard, Tom Hanks and Loni Anderson. All were very cordial and good tippers.

Many years ago, I was trout fishing in far Northern California. I was reeling in my line when I heard footsteps approaching me from behind.

A gravelly voice asked, "How's the bite?"

I turned around and it was Clint freaking Eastwood! This was right around the time when Heartbreak Ridge came out. We talked fishin' for a bit then went our seperate ways. Very cool dude and he couldn't have been nicer.
That would have been cool.

I have to admit that I was quite star struck. It took me a few moments to gather my senses before I opened my mouth.

I was on an all-tourney team with Lamar Odom. He won MVP and I shook his hand afterward.

I also met and hung out with Mike Matheny at an FCA camp one weekend back when he played for the Milwaukee Brewers.

A few of my wife's friends knew him from college/NYU. I think the lived next door to him and to them he was "Annoying Adam" and they couldn't stand him. ....Whoops

I go to Vegas every year with a guy who starred in a midmajor motion picture (I understand he has his own imdb page and everything).

Played in a band with one of the biggest action music scorers in Hollywood. Composed the new Marvel theme, as well as the scores for Avengers Age of Ultron, Thor Dark World, Iron Man 3, Fast 7, Fast & Furious, just to name a few. He played drums in my short-lived high school band and was a true musical prodigy.

My good buddy supplies all the eyewear to all the Marvel movies.

Played quarters in high school with Craig Counsell, former MLB player and current Brewers manager.

Held down the inflatable 49er helmet at Candlestick in ~1999 during MNF against the Packers. Stood next to Favre and the gang as the Packers prepared to take the field. I was told not too say anything and I was too chicken#### to say F that.

In the movie Heartbreak Ridge, when the marines bust into the room where the American students were being held, the first guy in says something like “We’re the U.S. marines and we’re here to rescue you”.

My buddy is that guy in real life, and that was his quote, except his quote was “We’re the U.S. Army…” It was actually the army that was the big player in the operation, but the army wouldn’t sign the contract with the production company.

So your claim to fame is that you were a human stake?Slow down, Joe Hollywood.

Steve Avery clocked 95+ on the gun before his arm frayed. That guy was sick. I can't even imagine facing him in high school.

I once blocked Jim Jackson's shot at a basketball camp. :flex:

A few plays later he dunked on me in a truly epic definition of the word "posterize". He looked at me and said "think about that" :bag:

Was getting a lap dance on a long couch at Mons Venus in 1999 during the Final Four weekend after the Saturday games. :pickle:

Guy next to me kept kept violating my personal space and at one point his hand accidentally touched my arm. Annoyed, I turned to give the guy a dirty look. Reggie Jackson. :fro:

Kinda screwed up the dance to be honest.

Wow. So you were totally shocked by everything that came out?

My uncle (by marriage) was Ben Orr from The Cars.

The same aunt who married Ben was good friends with Pat Benatar, so I got to talk to Pat on the phone for a minute back when I had a massive crush on her.

I also "met" a ton of people while waiting tables: Tom Glavine, Billy Dee Williams, Jane Fonda, Left-Eye Lopez, both Salt N' Peppa.

ETA: Also just met a kid this past Saturday who just got drafted by the O's. He played on the same team as my buddy's son, and dropped by their house before leaving for Baltimore on Sunday for his physical.

Got to go to a post game dinner with the Vancouver Canucks circa 2002 because a co-worker/friend was an old college roommate of Brendan Morrison. I'm not really a hockey guy but I recognized some names like Todd Bertuzzi (before he killed that guy or whatever) and a Sedin or two.

Back in 1987 my family won a trip to Texas to watch a four game series with the Twins and Rangers. The Twins ended up being on our flight down so I got to meet most of the team. Almost all of them were super nice (I was 10, my brother was 7) especially Bert Blyleven who had a nice long conversation with my dad. Jeff Reardon can eat **** though.

Bill Murray hit on my mom at a St. Paul Saints game.

My dad taught Khalid El-Amin (would go on to play for UCONN and the Chicago Bulls) when he was in 8th grade. I came down to play open gym at his school as a high school senior. Khalid showed up late in jeans that were falling off his ### and a sweatshirt and decided to play. I was a pretty good high school player so I decided i'd guard him. Despite not warming up and playing in jeans he destroyed me.

Have crossed paths with a lot of pro and college athletes over the years through my line of work. I'm still friendly with several former NHL players.

However, I also am somehow related to Erin Gray (Buck Rogers, Silver Spoons) on my dad's side of the family.

A friend of mine ran over the cat that played Sassy in Homeward Bound. I wasn't in the car with him but he was leaving my house when it happened.

Flashes of connections with pretty goodness.

My junior year HS, I left Truman Claytor (UK guard back in the 70s) holding his jock strap on a fast break where I came screaming down the floor facing him 1-on-1. Not slowing down, I faked right and went left and went in for an uncontested lay up. The whole Scott HS team went berserk and gave him hell for letting the little white kid do that to him. My theory is he thought that the clear lack of athleticism I had demonstrated to that point wouldn't allow me to go left.

Jack Grout once told me "nice shot son," after hitting a good drive off of the first tee at an amateur tournament at Muirfield (in Dublin, OH). Played college golf against Joey Sindelar and Chris Perry a couple of times (just missed John Cook from the year prior). Ken Duke was an assistant pro at our golf course and I know him - great guy.

The white Jason Williams married a girl from my neighborhood and back when I was in high school there were rumors of him playing pick up games at the local courts. I saw him in a grocery store parking lot sitting in the passenger seat of a really expensive car. I walked up and asked for an autograph and he acted like he wasn't JW. We went back and forth for awhile until I told him he's not that good anyways and walked away.

Pretty good friend from high school won The Amazing Race and had a brief run of fame after that.

Played in the AAU national tournament as a middle schooler against a few future NBA players. Intentionally fouled a current NBA commentator late in a game while way behind.

Once gave up a tape-measure home run to a guy who would go on to win the Heisman Trophy a few years later.

A couple of national spelling bee champions are friends of the family.

A guy I work with, his son works for the PGH Pens. Brought the Cup into work in 09. I touched it. I held it. I was about to lift it and kiss it until the guy who brought it in screamed about not lifting it over your head.

2 urinal bathroom at a club. Left urinal = me. Right urinal = Coolio. Nobody else in the restroom.

I was buzzed up drunk and really needed to go. Didn't realize who was next to me until halfway through, and without even thinking just say "oh hey, Coolio". He just looks left, zips up and walks out.

Ben Orr RIP. One of my favorite musicians.

He didn't wash his hands? Gross.

 A fraternity buddy of mine had to guard him in college. I use the word "guard" rather loosely. I think he dropped 25+ on him. We used to joke that our buddy literally pissed his pants trying to check him.

Mostly sports related....

No real "connections" - I guess the closest I have is spending some time with some pro athletes.
