Your Favorite, Top 3 Non-Sports Podcasts? (1 Viewer)

I am not a podcast guy really.... back for the college football National Championship game when I was lucky enough to get a ticket to go gifted to me, I drove from Chicago to Atlanta. As I took off I realized I didn't want to listen to music the whole time. So, I decided to put on a podcast. I remembered seeing clips of the Shawn Ryan Show that seemed interesting. I put it on and then did a marathon listening of the show going through several episodes nonstop. It hooked me. I don't have a ton of opportunities to sit and listen to a show and most often now will put it on Youtube and have it on while I am doing something else. It is the only podcast I listen to on any regular basis.
I've listened to some of his interviews. He lets the interviewees tell their stories. Some real American heroes.
Yea, I really appreciate how he gets out of the way of the guests and let's them talk. He doesn't have a need to show people he is knowledgeable or smart (he is very honest in areas outside of Spec Ops that he isn't). He isn't driven by a need to talk a lot but also knows how to keep the guests going and ask questions that continue to make it interesting.
Pretty sure you and I have discussed Ryan in other threads, I like that he lets his guests talk but have no love for his interview style. He just comes off as dull and not intelligent to me. Ole boy is pulling in the guests though, I'll give him that. He's surpassed Rogan for me with interesting guests.

That said, when he isn't in the interview seat, I thoroughly enjoy listening to him being interviewed. I keep threatening myself to dig into the drug rumors about him to figure out what's the truth and what isn't but it's time I don't care to waste right now.
What? His previous addiction or trafficking in Columbia or his use/advocating of psychedelics? All have been confirmed by him.
His addiction and trafficking is what I'm interested in. I know he's addressed it but I've heard rumors that his trafficking was lot more involved than he addressed. More curious about sources. The mil vet bros all seem to be turning on one another lately so before I lend any credence to it I need to verify the source because it's typically all BS.
I have heard him talk about that time and it clearly was a low for him. I have a lot of grace for vets coming out of service during GWOT as they are battling fights that are just as hard as when they were down range, maybe even more so since it is a battle within. Doing drugs leads to a lot of bad things and he clearly has cleaned up. One of the things I like the most about his interviews is that he doesn't make it about him.
