The Arquette/Sybian thing is one of the best bits I've ever heard on Stern. I think you can hear the whole thing on YouTube if you search "Howard Stern poison."this covers a lot. The only other things i can think of are:1. David Arquette sat in for a show one day, and they had the guy who created the Sibion on, and it was some funny stuff. The guy was real creepy2. Gary was caught sleeping by the TV crew and they had it on tape. Ended up being a big argument between Scott Depace and Gary for about a week before they went no vacationsome other random stuff as well, but nothing that ill stick out too muchLots of speculation about what Howard is going to do at the end of the year when his contract runs out.Howard and Beth (I'm guessing you know about her book) adopted a "special needs" catRobins trip to Guatemala provided tons of material, especially her new theme song. She seems to have calmed down with her diet stuff recently.Gary has a book coming out "They Call Me Baba Booey"They did a search for a new wack packer and ended up with some hillbilly but I don't think much will come of it.Look up "Little Lupe" a spanish porn star who you'll hear a lot of sound bites from.Richard is engaged to the future Christy ChristieStill nothing about Artie.Fred is Fred.Overall it's been very funny but I do get the sense of a show that is winding down. My prediction is he'll take some time off, maybe a year or so, and come back with some kind of pay internet show. I think he's done at Sirius.
Carmelo didn't really have an eventful or notable NCAA career, it's an easy mistake to make.Took me all of one day to remember how much I can't stand know-it-all Robin.
Howard: "LeBron went to the NBA right from high school, right?"
Robin: "Yes... it was a BIG DEAL when LeBron and Carmelo went right to the NBA from high school."
Go make me some eggs, dummy.

too bad you rarely hear from them anymoreI think Richard & Sal are the best part of the show and have been for awhile. I would listen to those two if they were given a show.

You are correct...besides leading Syracuse to the NCAA championship, he did nothing in his one year in college.Carmelo didn't really have an eventful or notable NCAA career, it's an easy mistake to make.Took me all of one day to remember how much I can't stand know-it-all Robin.

FM is brutal. I listened for about as long as you and my new office doesn't receive my Sirius signal so I am SOL. It was downhill since Artie left and they had to resort to so much Robin and Beth and even Benji stuff. I do miss it now bc of the Mel Gibson stuff that I assume they are doing. Been downloading some Adam corolla and the sports junkies podcasts and happy never hearing commercials. After 12+ years of Stern on every morning commute, I've given up. I just switched cars and won't be getting Sirius in the new one. His unclear contract status and my bad luck of hitting reruns on the night commute just couldn't get me motivated to switch. The last 2 days of just FM, I realize that bad Stern is still a good thing. Nonetheless, I'm going to try podcasts, etc. and if I get desperate I'll find recent shows on the net. I'll be curious to see what he does at the end of this year.
I disagree. I thought Artie wasn't great towards the end. In fact, he was more disruptive than entertaining.*FM is brutal. I don't find Richard that entertaining when talking, but Sal is definitely great on the air. Whether acting ######ed or being totally raw about his home life, it's usually a home run.I think Richard & Sal are the best part of the show and have been for awhile. For anyone who is saying the new version sucks, i'd love to know what they're listening to. Howard's whole m.o. was to rail against authority, push the envelope of decency, and aggravate anyone who got in his way. When he moved to sirius that eliminated 2 of those motivations, and severely hindered the last. So, yeah sure its a different show now than the 80s, 90s, or even early 2000s. But its still 5+ hours of guaranteed entertainment each day. And you can definitely tell how much more energy Howard has after vacations. If he comes back he should change his schedule to later in the day, or just cut back the # of live days. I'd be more than happy with that if they started playing more old show tapesI disagree. I realize the show isn't as great as it used to be, but I think people go way overboard with saying how bad it sucks now. It's still really good.

I still think the channel puts out a quality show every day and if my commute was longer than 20 minutes, I'd probably find a way to stay with Sirius. Not knowing what Stern will be doing come Jan 2011, it doesn't make sense to invest in a new system just yet. I'd love if he did a podcast, but I think he thrives on the live environment. For anyone who is saying the new version sucks, i'd love to know what they're listening to. True, but he's often commenting on the economics of them, which are still pretty flimsy in many cases.Isn't Adam Carolla the number 1 downloaded podcast? And he's barely making anything (at least according to what he said on THSS).Howard doesn't have the desire or need to use a podcast to get people to live shows, buy other merchandise or otherwise funnel traffic to some other medium or venue.I agree that in a cultural sense, he is out of touch with a lot of that stuff, but it's just the reality of being a 56-year-old man.I've noticed recently how "old" he is. He's treading into Imus territory where his core audience is going to only be men in their 40's and 50's. He's constantly dismissing Twitter, Facebook, Podcasts, etc. as nonsense when, in reality, satellite radio is on the downward slope toward being an outdated technology.
Biggest case in point - he doesn't allow his show on the Sirius/XM app.Why would you not do that, you may get more people to sign up for the extra 2.99 and generate revenue. That's amazing to me. I was excited when I got my phone to download the app and listen to Howard at work.......but then 100/101 wasn't on it.And he wonders why people on the internet bootleg his show. Isn't his issue that he wouldn't get any of that money, which I guess he argues he should be entitled to in his contract? There is probably no clear language either way because of when the contract was signed. That was the whole issue with his channels not being online originally. But I do agree that it could be a case where he is missing the big picture. More ways for people to get Sirius is better for the company and therefore better for him. One of the biggest problems that I have with Sirius is that the equipment is too expensive for its reliability (at least for the 2 stilettos that I've had). Even for the other sat receivers, no one feels like having to pay for an additional device when they're already paying a monthly fee.Biggest case in point - he doesn't allow his show on the Sirius/XM app.Why would you not do that, you may get more people to sign up for the extra 2.99 and generate revenue. I don't get it either. He seems to claim that he's above nickel-and-diming the audience, but he has no problem interrupting the show for a gotomypc ad. Seems like a paradox to me. I think Sirius could benefit by selling the show in podcast format even on a delayed fashion. It would be additional income and doesn't have to be an exclusive version.Biggest case in point - he doesn't allow his show on the Sirius/XM app.Why would you not do that, you may get more people to sign up for the extra 2.99 and generate revenue. podcast for non-subscribers? for how much? I think they'd lose a lot of subscribers if they did that.I don't get it either. If full sirius is 12/month and a Howard only app/podcast is 7 to 9/ month, I think they'd come out ahead as a company.podcast for non-subscribers? for how much? Yes. I have it on my phone (droid). Just google adam corrolla podcast and you can subscribe to itIs there a way to download adam without Itunes?
You should try the 'Pocket Tunes' app. It is the best app on my phone by far. I listen to Stern everyday at work. You can listen to just many, many AM/FM/Internet/Sirius/XM stations from around the world. Choose by genre as well. It also allows you to record.Way better than the Sirius app. I think it costs $6.That's amazing to me. I am guessing that Fred would win in a landslide.I would really like to boycott tomorrow's show with the IQ results, but I wont because I want to hear who wins the Gary-Jason-DePace feud. Kind of interested in Ralph also. What a bunch of cowards; Howard, Robin and Fred for not participating.

I think Fred is good at memorizing things and thus has some book smarts. However over the past 20+ years the guy seems to lack some serious reasoning skills.I am guessing that Fred would win in a landslide.I would really like to boycott tomorrow's show with the IQ results, but I wont because I want to hear who wins the Gary-Jason-DePace feud.
