Slapdash 16,240
I think it would be a pretty cool twist for Gomez to be working with a cartel. Imagine Hank finds out his two closest friends in the show have been working against the DEA all along.

pollardsvision 3,029
I think it would be a pretty cool twist for Gomez to be working with a cartel. Imagine Hank finds out his two closest friends in the show have been working against the DEA all along. I don't think the notion itself is that terrible, but people would absolutely hate it. There are plenty of legitimate reasons it would be a bad idea for the show itself (doesn't fit, no need, expands the story at the wrong time, etc.), but I think we're now programmed to hate moles. God bless "24", but they destroyed moles forever. Breaking Bad is supposed to be above that sort of thing. I don't see it, but I think Gilligan could pull it off if he was so inclined. More so, I'm confident he's just smart enough not to go down that road. Aside from the general hatred of moles, people would be pissed because BB is so focused right now (as it's always been). We've seen the consequences and destruction coming for so long now, and it's almost here. Throwing the mole wrench in the middle of this would just be a disaster. Throwing the mole wrench in the middle of this would just be a disaster. In a normal show who tries to throw a twist, a la 24, Gomez would be a perfect mole. This isn't a show like that though. This show is a study in transformational circumstances and what one becomes or what rises to the surface from within when exposed to them. Walt, Hank, and Jesse have all gone through this, and we are still seeing how they develop and where their transformations take them.

shader 7,886
I don't buy the "mole" theory. BB doesn't seem to need cheap tricks like this. BB is very open with the viewers as to who and what people are. Sure, there is tons of deceit going on between Walt and the rest of his family, and even between Marie, Skyler, and heck probably even Flynn ( I mean, where is he going EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, and who is this friend he's always "going to see")But despite the fact that there is deceit everywhere, the viewers are in on everything. I can't think of many situations where they hid who someone was and then revealed it. We saw Walt going bad in every detail. Jesse was always bad. We saw the affair and Skyler's subsequent covering of Walt's actions. We even saw Marie shoplifting. To throw a mole in the mix, at the end of the show, would be very atypical of this show, and I wouldn't like it.

Cool item, but not sure I would drop two bills for it for myself. Neat little gift for Bryan Cranston though...Five years ago, Biddeford jewelry maker Coco Corral received an unusual request from a production studio executive in New Mexico.Could Corral, the executive asked, inscribe onto a sterling silver money clip the scientific symbols for the elements bromine (Br) and barium (Ba)?"(The executive) said we have this show coming out and we're really excited about it and we want to give (the money clip) to the lead actor," Corral said.Coco Corral of Biddeford, who created a money clip for "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston five years ago, holds a recreation of the money clip for sale to others. Note the atomic symbols for bromine and barium, graphics the show uses for the "Breaking Bad" title sequence, symbolizing his character was a chemistry teacher before becoming a drug dealer.Gordon Chibroski / Staff Photographer Edited August 16, 2013 by SeaDogStat
