Stock Thread (9 Viewers)

Mind sharing your thoughts on why you like to so much? I haven’t followed the stock, looks like it just went public a couple months ago? I put a chunk in TripAdvisor a few months back and think this could be a play I also may like even though I’ve missed the initial jump.
  • Tremendous business model that essentially is disrupting leisure hospitality.
  • High profit margins that are improving
  • Best in class, little competition
  • Global network (not country specific)
  • Anticipated leisure travel explosion this summer
  • Plenty of room for growth with current model and additional revenue streams

3.9% across all portfolios. Only red stock was ABNB which I added to since it was a Morgan Stanley downgrade that did it (maybe some selling from a lockup expiration.) MS seems to be the low price target outlier on most of my growth stocks.

ETA: NNOX was down slightly, too

Up 3.5%.  Still haven't recovered my losses from February but today was a lot of fun.
Same % for me. About 4% off highs in taxable accounts and 8% in IRAs. Not bad at all considering how high we’d gotten. Still not sure it’s over, but I’ll take 5%+ the last two days.

14% (!).  Still 6% down on current holdings.

ETA, dumped my PLTR.  Too boring for right this second.  Should provide a nice boost to y'all who are still in.

I opened up a pretty small ABNB position today.

What's the difference between this and ETHE?
ETCG tracks Ethereum Classic.  ETHE tracks Ethereum

ETA:  ETHE trades at a 494% premium, which is why I chose ETCG.  I honestly don't love any of the crypto trusts... but in retirement accounts, it's the only option for crypto.

Anyone followinrocket mortgage thing? Sounds like they are trying to short it may take off tomorrow.  Sorry don’t have more deets, but heard some details from a friend which I have now forgotten, but I’ll probably grab some right at the bell.

It's a sound company that has been shorted a lot. The company authorized a buy back (I think last year) trying to stop the shorting and now gave a giant $2B one-time dividend to it's share holders.  WallStreetBets seems to think giving this dividend to a ton of insiders could have them, reinvesting with company stock to further push the shorts away.

My issues with this company:

1. Everyone already refinanced their home last year. I don't see them topping their ridiculous earnings and profits anytime soon.

2. There are a zillion shares of stock. Shorting schemes when tons of shares exist rarely work. It's the reason AMC doesn't have the legs of GME.

Thoughts on BITW?

It's a crypto index fund that invests in the 10 biggest cryptos. Seems like an easy way to get exposed to the sector without worrying about buying the correct "coins".

Fairly high expenses though.
Grayscale's gdlc does pretty much the same.

For the record, ethe is down to trading at a 5.5% premium.

Anyone familiar with OTRK? Seems to be a more focused TDOC in terms of behavioral health and way smaller. Don’t know how I stumbled on them but had on my watch list a couple months. It was just charging ahead and then the past week or two was falling in tandem with similar growth stocks but got halved today. They pre-reported their results and I’m assuming the Q4 was fine as it was well over 100% growth and their first profit but that their estimate for 20% growth next year killed them. Not sure if they were being conservative or not but I don’t know what the expectations were. 20% growth of $100M in sales and a $500M market cap isn’t bad right now but that’s a shocking drop. Anyway, wondering if anyone is familiar with them enough to say if it’s a stay away or a potential opportunity.
I bought a little at $30.27. I'm interested to see what it does tomorrow.

I got more AMZN than you and I’m up 3.5%. Bezos said to suck it.

Big shout out to BILI and CRNC today.
No worries...with 26.5% in Amazon I've been sucking it pretty much everyday.  Down more than the market on down days, up less than the market on up days.  It's pretty much like owning a decaying 3xETF.  Can't wait until the new guy gets in place and take away Bozo's office keys.

I am kinda addicted to the stonks rush...Covid took away casinos, so this is like an all day rush waiting for the rocket ship. I thought going to the moon was a farce early on, but the price sticking above 100 has me believing we are about to see something special.
