I've read that a good strategy is to do the opposite of what the masses are doing ....zig when they zag.

So these last couple of weeks, while everyone else is buying and selling ... I've been sitting on my hands.

I gotta say, not working out too good so far.

Damn, just realized how far LAZR and RIDE have fallen. I was happy selling my RIDE @ $28 even though it got a little higher but now it’s less than $10. LAZR popped well past when I (and a couple others) sold at $38, but now it’s at $17. QS has at least had some good news but still back in the SPAC crazy days it was over $130.
RIDE really broke down.  Around Christmas or just into January I sold what I had left for shares.  I also converted my Warrants around that time and sold those shares right away.  I peak at it rarely now and removed it from my watch list.  Been a while since I held any LAZR too.  These are both great examples of why I'll never regret taking profits and even getting 100% out of some stocks when they rise quickly.

DKNG was one of my rare red ones today but they went green AH when they announced they are now the official betting partner of the NFL. Those guys really hustle.

Definitely in my play money account. I’m using profits from PPL still playing in these so just letting those ride.
That reminds me - switched from PPL to EXC back in September.  Just looked at it and EXC has really done well since then by about 15% over PPL.

Todem is a rock star.

Made money on both.  Was in and out of both a couple times.  Stayed through the last run down of EXC but bailed in the 41's on the way back up like a fool thinking it would retrace.  Oh well, money made either way.

I cashed out PPL with a 10% gain, I think.  And with the divvies at 6% it was a great run.  I wouldn't complain at all if I just help PPL until now.  EXC has mooned (this is utility, so a 20% gain in 6 months is definitely a moon shot).  Crazy.  Wish I would have bought triple, though I'm very happy with what I have in it now, which is substantial.

$DKNG

The PGA Tour and DraftKings will partner together to open a sportsbook on-site at TPC Scottsdale—site of the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open—in what the tour calls a “state-of-the-art, premium experience” for fans to be able to bet on all sports at the golf course, Golf Digest has learned. The news comes as legislation passed in Arizona on Monday that will allow mobile and retail sports betting, but also gives professional sports leagues the ability to open "in-stadium" type of retail experiences. The state’s governor, Doug Ducey, is expected to sign the legislation into law later this week.

The Arizona law allows professional sports organizations such as the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, the MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks and the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes to partner with betting operators to run retail sportsbooks as in-stadium experiences. That’s the type of retail operation expected to open at TPC Scottsdale, with the tour announcing the deal after months of negotiations with other betting operators. DraftKings, which is the tour’s official daily-fantasy sports (DFS) partner and the tour’s first official betting operator, ultimately got the deal.

The sportsbook will be what DraftKings chief business officer Ezra Kucharz called a “flagship” location, in a similar vein to the one DraftKings is building next to Wrigley Field. It will do big business during major events, of course, but also be open year-round for foot traffic and golfers who visit the course normally.

“Whether you’re someone who lives in Scottsdale, traveling there on vacation, or someone there for a PGA Tour event, this is going to be a marquee facility,” Kucharz said in an interview.

Pro sports locations, online, and tribal casinos. Should include horses imo
Horse racing is this whole weird thing here with Turf Paradise. There’s even some dispute where you can’t even make bets at a bunch of tracks because of some fight they’re having with Monarch. Can’t even bet the Preakness legally, for example. New deal won’t clean up that but hopefully I can bet at the available tracks online instead of using a touchtone phone or going to some OTB where alcoholics go to die.

CZR announced themselves as the same thing like 5 minutes later so I'm not exactly sure what to make of this news.  Seems like maybe the NFL made some agreements official with most of the folks they'd been working with and everyone spun it into a new PR.

I definitely enjoyed the couple bucks pop though as I'm pretty heavy into DKNG.

There’s some variance - DKNG is the official daily fantasy partner and gets plastered all over RZ Channel.

NFL press release that details all three relationships

High five man. I got a piece of both. Little more EXC than PPL. All because of Todem

We all work so hard at this to grind out profits and we could have just put that money into dogecoin and become multi-millionaires.
You had a choice last night young Skywalker.  On one side MOP begged you to see the light, open a can of tuna and purchase a slice of the doge pie.  Unfortunately you chose unwisely to follow the dodds side of the moon shot tale.

MoP is buying Doge which at the time had "soared" to about 6-7-8 cents a share and stayed there for many weeks, fell into the 5 range and then POP it goes up to over 13 cents a share, even if you suck at this you are up like 50% if not much higher.

I still think it's a good buy, 25 to 50 cents by the end of summer and a $1 by Christmas!

The MoP KoD right there
We are running a little ahead of schedule at the moment

30 cents a share right now, holy wow has this thing shot up fast

Bought some $EBON premarket in hopes the Robinhooders drive it up when the market opens. Chinese crypto, they’re DOGE-related and there’s some premarket volume.

This is a TOTAL GAMBLE and I’ll be out today no matter what.

DOGE  0.3347 and rising

-This stock was told to me by my 21 year old son on Super Bowl Sunday this past Feb in my living room as the Bucs blew out the Chiefs.

"When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are"

Thanks Tom

Your pal forever,

It's crazy. Doge has no use what so ever. I'm wondering if the powers that be are pumping dodge to take the money and attention from GME.

The timing is a little funny to me.

There is some irony in all of this that goes very deep and folks like @Capella know that I am a lifelong scorned Miami fan that lived in Tampa Bay '92-'00 and got wrapped up in the Bucs when I was there, season tickets at the Sombrero, all that but my heart was always with the Phins and Brady just ripped the heart out of us for 2 decades and I was not happy initially when he went to the Bucs because quite frankly I hated him...fast forward to the Super Bowl and you add in that my son wasn't in my life until more recently and he is sitting there in my house telling me about DOGE on the Super Bowl with Brady lighting it up and yeah this is a pretty funny ####### tale I gotta say. And I love Mahomes if it's any consolation.

Some of the alt bull cases crack me up. “Well of one Bitcoin is worth $60k then one doge should EASILY be $1!” while ignoring as you correctly pointed out that it’s utterly useless. It’s a meme coin.

Doge has gone through cycles like this since 2014. It will drop and it will be fast. Be careful out there my friends.

The fact that a newb makes big $$ by buying crypto currency that he calls a 'stock' is beyond me.

SMH

eta Varney just called it 'idiotcoin'

I feel a little better.

Doge has never gone through a cycle like this with this much momentum/attention.
