And still so sharp. Awful news. That sucks.Ā
Hope he beats it. He's 78 now
He and Pat Sajak would switch jobs for April Fools but thatās it.Has anyone ever hosted Jeopardy while Trebek has been host... as a guest host? I can't recall anyone else on the mic.
Tough son of a gun. Pulling for Alex.
Nicest? Ā He's very condescending IMO.ĀJust end it after the season. I don't want anyone but Trebek as my host for that show. Always came off like the nicest guy.
My dad died of it (as did @El Floppo's) many years ago, and I was wondering if in the interim the life expectancy had gone up, given you said a two-year average. Ā When my dad was diagnosed in 1995, it was three months, and when he lived nearly two years it was considered a major miracle. Ā Looking at current expectations, it seems they have NOT changed, so two years is well outside expectations. Ā I'm not sure where you got that, but everything I see is well beneath a year still.Stage 4, pancreatic?? The worst type of cancer. My friend made it 3 mo after diagnosis. 2 years is average.
That might just be you.Ā I've never seen any evidence of that.Nicest? Ā He's very condescending IMO.Ā
He is a very nice guy in my experience. Ā I have a handicapped brother who is obsessed with jeopardy. Ā When he was young they said he would never be able to talk and he taught himself to speak watching jeopardy. Ā We watch the show every day and he plays the host. Ā We went to see jeopardy live and Alex took the time to talk to him mid show. Ā He didnāt have to do that but he did and it made his life! ĀNicest? Ā He's very condescending IMO.Ā
I've never seen evidence of this from the show, and by all accounts off the show he's a pretty standup dude. Unless you've got a thing about decadesĀNicest? Ā He's very condescending IMO.Ā
My dad's prognosis was 6 months. A related embellism took him a week after being told that- on Christmas Eve, before he hold told my brother or me about it.My dad died of it (as did @El Floppo's) many years ago, and I was wondering if in the interim the life expectancy had gone up, given you said a two-year average. Stage 4 of pancreatic cancer means you have almost no time left. Ā The issue with this cancer is that there are basically no symptoms until it is too late to do anything. Ā The Whipple procedure is almost never available as an option then.
I mean the guy has an answer for everything. Just watch the show.ĀNicest? Ā He's very condescending IMO.Ā
Sorry about your dad. I meant to write 2 years average non stage 4 cancer. FYPI mean the guy has an answerĀ question for everything. Just watch the show.Ā
Dan Patrick does (did?) the Sports spinoff. I think he said on his show that he wouldn't want to do the big show.Walking Boot said:Jeff Probst used to host the spinoff.ĀMario Kart said:Has anyone ever hosted Jeopardy while Trebek has been host... as a guest host? Come on. Ā Do you really think he's serious? He'd jump at the chance if asked. Ā One of the best gigs around.Dan Patrick does (did?) the Sports spinoff. I think he said on his show that he wouldn't want to do the big show.
I think Brad might be better suited to do that.Rooting for Alex to be on for years to come.Ā
Once he hangs it up, I'd love to see Ken Jennings give it a shot.Ā
Check out the big brain on Brad!I think Brad might be better suited to do that.
Ā There are times I watch Jeopardy! and can't get the Connery send-up out of my head.ĀWhat aboutĀ Turd Ferguson?
MooĀ There are times I watch Jeopardy! and can't get the Connery send-up out of my head.Ā
I have that problem when I watch Sean Connery.Ā There are times I watch Jeopardy! and can't get the Connery send-up out of my head.Ā
Steve Harvey already has too many jobs.I'd honestly be pretty surprised if they replace him with a white male.Ā
I think what they could do is let some of the all stars and fan favorites host each for a week. Ā Then see the fan reaction as well as who is the best. Ā Then go with that one. Ā Would be a cool tribute as well.I'd honestly be pretty surprised if they replace him with a white male.Ā
Harvey is fun to watch, but seeing him read the clues would be painful.ĀSteve Harvey already has too many jobs.
I dislike him intensely. Ā I'd probably stop watching if he's chosen as the new host.Harvey is fun to watch, but seeing him read the clues would be painful.Ā
I wouldnt lose any sleep over it. I think you have a better shot than he does.ĀI dislike him intensely. Ā I'd probably stop watching if he's chosen as the new host.
Yeah same here. Not a fan at all. Seems just a smidge egotistical.chet said:I dislike him intensely. Ā I'd probably stop watching if he's chosen as the new host.
Not if I have to watch Austin Rogers again.Ā Ugh.PinkydaPimp said:I think what they could do is let some of the all stars and fan favorites host each for a week. Ā
Sounds like a job for Phil Simms. The show would be garbage with some rookie hosting. Ā It has to be someone with broadcasting/announcing training and experience. Ā
