I hope he’s a starting QB and I hope I land him from waivers. Someone has to replace Burrow.
In our CBS leagues, Hill outscored Mahomes too. Taysom Hill was the seventh-highest scoring player for the week.ffmail4me said:He outscored LamarFlirted with the idea of starting him over Lamar...then put my crack pipe down and came to my senses I am very curious to see what he does today.
Great call by FBG who had him ranked as QB8 this week.In our CBS leagues, Hill outscored Mahomes too. Taysom Hill was the seventh-highest scoring player for the week.
Not sure if the broncos covid issues make Hill a better start or not.Had Taysom lined up to start over Lamar, even before the covid positive. Now with Tua out, I'm thinking hard about Fitzmagic instead. This will drive me crazy for 3 more hours.
Been going back and forth on that too.Not sure if the broncos covid issues make Hill a better start or not.
Taysom Hill completed 9-of-16 passes for 78 yards in the Saints' 31-3 Week 12 win over the Broncos, adding 44 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Taysom went Full Tebow against Denver, operating as the Saints' primary goal line ball carrier. He rushed ten times for the second consecutive week behind heavy formations. Hill under center for the Saints has torpedoed Alvin Kamara's fantasy value while lowering the floors of every pass catcher in the New Orleans offense. Hill's rushing upside makes him a plug-and-play option week in and week out in 12-team leagues. He'll be a high-end QB2 in Week 13 against an Atlanta team he dominated in Week 11.

He did beat them up pretty good last weekPicking up Falcon Def for next week !
Sean Payton spoke about this to more than one reporter prior to the Brees injury.A lot of things going on here...first of all when Brees went down, why wasn't Hill the 1st guy off the bench? Next, we saw him play last week where he was throwing the ball and he looked goofy but we didn't say much about it, Saints have managed to win all these games and are closing in on being the Pole Position going into the NFC Playoffs which this season only the 1-Seed looks to have any chance of a Bye week and the Saints would love to not rush Brees back.
Kamara owners need to brace for the entire rest of the way having not much more than Flex appeal or low end RB2 in this offense and Payton does nto care, he'd love to keep Kamara fresh anyways.
Hill is not an NFL QB and there are real limits on what they can accomplish.
Hate the fact I have my playoff hopes riding on Hill this week. Here's to hoping he can repeat his stat line from the first time they played ATL.
Same boat. Good luck.Hate the fact I have my playoff hopes riding on Hill this week. Here's to hoping he can repeat his stat line from the first time they played ATL.
I’m going back and forth between Hill and TannySame boat. Good luck.
All depends which ATL D shows up. Is it the ATL D that smothered the Raiders last week? Cuz that was nuts. As a Carr superflex owner, I could tell you how that felt but the swear filter would turn my post into ###### ####### ############# ##### ######## and ##### because ########## ###### that son of a #####.Deranged Hermit said:Hate the fact I have my playoff hopes riding on Hill this week. I sat Hill for Carr last week. I still don’t understand how Carr performed so poorly. How did ATL become a top 5 D overnight? Brees and the Saints laid an egg in last year's first game versus the Flacons - losing 26-9. The Falcons defense came on at the end of 2019, but they haven't been good this year, until last week. I'm not sure what gives.I sat Hill for Carr last week. I still don’t understand how Carr performed so poorly. How did ATL become a top 5 D overnight? Or was this the Raiders laying their annual egg?
Taysom Hill is the third highest scoring quarterback in fantasy football since taking over the Saints' starting job three weeks ago.
Hill had his most complete game as a starter against the Falcons in Week 13, passing for 232 yards and two scores to go along with 83 yards on the ground. Only Deshaun Watson and Kirk Cousins have outscored Hill over the past three weeks. The power of QB rushing production can't be overstated: Hill is 13th in passing yardage in his three starts, but has 178 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. Nearly 60 percent of his fantasy production has come via the rush. If Drew Brees (ribs) can't comeback for the Saints' Week 14 game against the Eagles, Hill will remain a QB1 option with a sturdy floor.

Might as well go out with a bang then. I'd like to see 25+ points as I am debating starting him on two leagues. This is probably going to be his last start because I don't see how the Saints can beat the Chiefs without Drew Brees starting.
That part about not beating the Chiefs without Brees is probably true, but I think it would be insane to risk Brees so close to his injury. One or two cracked ribs is something you can play through - I've never heard of an NFL player having as many broken ribs as Brees has. Getting the Bye would be terrific, but the most important thing for the Saints should be having Brees be healthy in the playoffs. Bringing him back 4 weeks after the injury would be nuts in my opinion. This is probably going to be his last start because I don't see how the Saints can beat the Chiefs without Drew Brees starting.
The Athletic's Jeff Duncan reports Taysom Hill is expected to start in Week 14 against the Eagles.
Brees isn't expected to practice much as he continues to eye a return in Week 15 against the Chiefs. With a playoff berth clinched, Sean Payton and the Saints can obviously take their time throwing the veteran back under center and lean on Hill for further developmental reps ahead of the postseason. The Eagles have been susceptible to rushing quarterbacks, allowing 108 yards on the ground to Lamar Jackson and a combined 156 yards to Daniel Jones in two games against the Giants, at least giving Hill, fantasy's QB3 the past three games, a high floor against Philadelphia's respectable pass rush.

I am probably going to do it, but I don't have great options (Carr or the wire). I can tell you that the Eagles have been very vulnerable to running quarterbacks this year. Hurts won't get treated anywhere near the way that the Broncos used their quarterbacks.Assuming he starts again this week, how comfortable are you guys starting him? I've pretty much lost faith in Matt Ryan, and Phillip Rivers' ceiling seems limited. With the Saints going against Hurts, I guess I'm worried about a similar game as the one against Denver two weeks ago. Where maybe Hill doesn't get the rushing TDs. I think I'd like Hill a lot more if this game was back in the Superdome. How are you guys reading it?
I get to start 2 (super flex) and don't really know what to do here.I dunno. Brady seemed like the obvious choice vs the Falcons. Now I’m not so sure. Without Julio I don’t think that game is a track meet anymore, and falcons D has been better. The Saints/Chiefs game promises to be high scoring. I’m leaning Hill over Brady
@DAG, Drew Brees got the go-ahead to start against the Chiefs. News came in earlier this morning.I need to start Hill in a superflex due to injuries (and he’s been saving me for sure). I will again this week but I’m a bit nervous that he could be pulled for Winston if he struggles again. There’s no evidence to base this on, but turnovers are a concern and they can’t afford to lose.
Taysom Hill had eight touches for 48 total yards and one touchdown in the Saints' Week 16 win over the Vikings.
Hill had two passes (8 yards), five carries (18 yards and one score), and one reception (19 yards) as coach Sean Payton's do-all specialist. With Drew Brees back in the lineup, Hill is nothing but a DFS option on single-game slates. Expect the backup quarterback to handle under 10 touches each game for the rest of the season.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Saints QB Taysom Hill (knee) is not expected to play in the Divisional Round against the Bucs.
Rapsheet also added that RB Latavius Murray (quad) is also unlikely to go. That means both of the vultures to Alvin Kamara's touchdowns are going to be out for their Divisional Round game versus Tampa Bay. Hill had eight rushing scores in the regular season while Murray was at five rushing and receiving touchdowns combined. Win or lose, expect another massive outing from Kamara this week.

You can do magic...Saints signed QB Taysom Hill to a four-year, $140 million contract extension.
Every year of the deal is voidable so it's unlikely that Hill ever sees a large amount of this money. In an act of cap sorcery, the Saints used this extension to spread out Hill's cap hit for 2021 over the next four years. This extension does have real aspects to it including a $9.7 million signing bonus, a $1.4 million guaranteed roster bonus, and a $1 million guaranteed base salary. It also has some extra money tied to incentives for Hill. With Drew Brees officially retiring, Hill is in play to be the team's quarterback of the future. This deal is mostly for cap maneuvering purposes but the incentives do point toward New Orleans at least wanting to give Hill a shot at the starting gig. Most importantly, it clears $7.4M in cap space for the Saints, who need to shed some contracts to get under the 2021 salary cap.

Micky Loomis is a genuis! You can do magic...
You can have anything that you desire...
Magic, and you know
You're the one who can put out the fire...
You know darn well
When you cast your spell you will get your way,
When you hypnotize with your eyes,
A heart of stone can turn to clay...
I've never seen this kind of cap wizardry before. Insane.
You do realize that this was a cap savings move. They saved 7.5 mil this year and the entire contract is voidable. This is the work of the genius Mickey Loomis..
I cannot believe what I'm reading
Strap in ladies and gentlemen, the official Taysom Hill experience is about to begin. I thought Brees handed things off to Winston but I guess Hill is going to be the anointed one.
