Mike McCarthy fired (1 Viewer)

Rodgers carries that fat ### on his back for years. The one time they had a really good defense, they won the Super Bowl. But sure, good luck with him.
:goodposting:

If you like the most vanilla, predictable offense in the league then McCarthy is your guy

Cleveland.com's May Kay Cabot reports the Browns will interview former Packers coach Mike McCarthy for their head-coaching vacancy.

The Browns reportedly had an interview scheduled with McCarthy last year but it never happened (per McCarthy's decision) since the organization was obviously enamored with Freddie Kitchens. The ex-Packers coach obviously has ties to John Dorsey stemming from their time together in Green Bay. Cleveland has also been linked to Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, Ravens OC Greg Roman, and 49ers DC Robert Saleh (pending interview requests) for their head-coaching job less than 24 hours after parting ways with Kitchens.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Giants will interview former Packers coach Mike McCarthy for their head-coaching vacancy.

Much like the Browns, New York is casting a wide net in their head-coaching search only 24 hours after moving on from Pat Shurmur. McCarthy reportedly isn't the "top candidate" under GM Dave Gettleman, who was retained by the organization on Monday, but was always expected to receive an interview as a bright football mind. Giants have also been linked to Baylor coach Matt Rhule, Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, and Cowboys DC Kris Richard.
