I've come to grips with this all and moved on. I believe my wife, and have no reason to doubt her.

That being said. She is pregnant and due in March. There is a small part of me that does wonder at times. However, I'm pretty confident that the worst case scenario will not play out here. To me, there are bigger fish to fry right now.

We have a 3D ultrasound scheduled today. Turns out there are supposed to be three vessels in the umbilical cord that show up on ultrasounds. They only saw two on the first pictures. Didn't sound too serious, but they're being cautious. On top of that, the doc who read the first ultrasound didn't like the picture of the babies face. He was concerned that not enough top lip was showing. Cleft lip is what he's worried about.

At this point, my main concern is finding out that everything is OK with the kid.

Man, I am incredibly sorry. Your wife told me she was on the pill. What turned out to be innocent playing around while I was taking a leak turned into a passionate session in the stall.

Me either. I am now convinced more than ever that this is a fishing trip. Which basically I don't have a problem with - there has been a ton of entertainment value to this point. But if I'm sending prayers to Steve's unborn child, I want to see sonograms.

OK my update:

No way that kid is mine; I pulled out way early and we WERE standing up for chrissake!

In all seriousness, this is update of MIYH is too good to be true. I tend to agree that it's the Moby **** of fishing trips.

 
1) I can't believe I read this entire thing...

2) If I *REMEMBER* George is going to be more loyal to his wife... they're ex roommates.

3) The social circle appears to have more social skills then MITYH... not that this is bad, but everyone convienently can't remember details... they all know that for the best outcome and the better of the group... it's better to forget.

4) From everything I've read... you let your wife off the hook and still have a marriage. Which is good.

5) I do believe more happened in the stall. I've always remembered the rule.. if they said they held hands, they kissed. If they said they kissed, they made out... etc. Her initial response.. and crying, from all the women I've had cheat on me... points very much to guilt. Over time she gained confidence in that you didn't know what was going on and that denying memory was working.

6) The way she answered and behaved she knew she was wrong... and she didn't have a choice. But, f she crosses over into the I'm annoyed ... because you let me off the hook, but won't let it die ... I understand being pissed.

7) Calling Steve behind your back.. and having this conversation is easily an act. Even if they weren't discussing the truth. Highly social aware people know what's going on... and it's almost like a drama theater playing out. She might have called Steve and said.. Steve I don't remember anything.. ( her and him full well knowing she does )... social aware people seem to play this game to direct outcomes in life.

8) There is now a baby involved. Congrats on your 3rd child. I won't go into the math on this one... and suffice to say I hope the child is in excellent health.

9) You need to evaluate your life... and consider the way you and your wife are communicating. You seem to be... is it equal? Are you really listening.. not to just what someone is saying or what words you want to put in their mouth. But, what their body language and your gut instinct is telling you? You need to work on this... and your wife too. I would draw some lines and find some quality friends. Sometimes it's just time to grow up. Obviously you were invited into this group at one time.. or at least were more of a 2nd stage player.

10) So far you've survived. Set a date.. where 1 time a year you and your wife set family goals... and discuss how things are going and where you want to be.. new house, etc... meet on that seriously 2x a year.. and have 1 day a month where you both sit down and work on the relationship / communication.

If this *really* isn't a fishing trip then I'm sorry. But this just crossed the line if it isn't.
