2017 FBG Subscriber Contest is LIVE (2 Viewers)

These are the teams that won the past 4 years.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2016/103529.php 20 man roster.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2015/101931.php 28 man roster

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2014/103630.php 24 man roster

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2013/105319.php  18 man roster

So it seems 18 to 24 is the way to go if you want to win but your chances of getting there are slim.

Went all the way back to 08 and the highest roster was 2015 with 28 the rest of the winners were 18-25.

The chances for anyone are slim.

I have 25 but 6 rb/wr are $3, which means I could buy some top players.

I figure my odds of winning are pretty close to 0.1% at this point.
Mine are probably less than that figured I probably jinxed myself by even mentioning final 250.To prove the point my only QB putting up a stinker so far and 1st half is almost over.

Got 19.5 out of Stafford. For a few seconds there I thought I had put the voodoo on him by picking him. That tackle he took looked scary.

Huge start to the week for me. Rivers/Keenan/Witten/Prater lays a great foundation. Abdullah and Dallas DST both sucked, but that's the norm.

Problem is there were 12000 small rosters and 500 larger rosters.  Even with a much higher survival rate the larger rosters were easily out numbered in the final 250

Yep smaller roster probably best way to go. My problem of course is picking the right players.Only time I made it to the final 250 or even close is with a large roster. Then of course really have no shot against studs on smaller rosters.Only consolation is you can say you made it to the 250.

I don't think it is the amount of teams smaller teams had left. Its the amount of smaller teams that have quality players as opposed to all the large rosters that have teams filled with jag type players.

I disagree with this to an extent. The sheer volume of "small" rosters (however we choose to arbitrarily define "small") could make a big difference. If there are 200 "small" rosters and 50 "big" rosters in the finals, there is a much higher likelihood of a "small" roster winning even if the odds of any single "big" roster are 3 times greater than any single "small" roster.

I think the analysis of just the winning roster is misplaced. The real question is the performance of the average "big" roster vs the average "small" roster in the finals. Any given single roster provides no insight into the performance of the group.

To illustrate the last paragraph, what if the 250th place team is typically a "small" roster? Would we conclude that "small" rosters aren't the way to go based solely on that trend?

Well here is to hoping you have a successful week 12 and move on to the next round.Looking kind of bleak for me.Injury bug finally catching up to me and down games from Stafford and Gordon going to make this week really interesting.Good luck to all this week.

Thanks. I'm off to a great start, but one highly owned player I don't have could change things dramatically. All you need is one lightly owned guy on your team to go off in order to turn it around.

Well it looks like I am going to need some divine intervention if I hope to move on if this 1st half is any indication.

The field has caught up with me. I'm at 138.5 -- 5.55 north of the cutline. I'm not loving my chances now. The Rishard/Hogan/Benjamin trifecta is really hurting me this week. I need a big number from Kamara and/or one of JAX/Oak DST.

Another week with 4 RB counting and Crowder and Cooks appear to be a waste of money.  Hogan and Parker did alright.

Probably fleener with 96.

Only 12 of us have Cooks and fleener.

I'mthe only team alive with Cooks, fleener and Crowder. :oldunsure:
I take back any negative thing I ever said about Cooks and Crowder.

161 with Gurley / Richardson -3.7, Z/Walsh -4, Rams/saints D -0

Too early to be overly confident but I like my chances.

Oh, I'm the only team with Anderson, Crowder and Cooks :D

Better to be North than South.Down by 7.With Hyde  - 3.7 and a handful of WRs  at -8.6 plus NO and SF Ds. Going to need a miracle.

I've got Rivers/Allen/Walker/Witten/Prater combining for 114 and may well not advance. I have Kamara-5.5, Wallace/Patterson-3.9/8.3, and JAX/OAK-0. Not looking good for the home team.

26.3% of the remaining teams have Robby Anderson. While it likely won't happen, it's possible half the teams next week have him.

Go Robby!

forgot to come in and wish everyone good luck.  got bumped last week by 0.05 pts.  top name below the cut line.  ouch.

good luck!

Sooner or later cut line had to get higher we have had some unusually low ones this season.Of course it had to happen when my team puts up a stinker. Note to self next year make sure I pick a 2nd QB that is in no danger of losing starting position and I do not need 15 WRs split the 36 dollars on upgrades on QB , RBs and TEs

Cut is now at 151 as the Sunday afternoon late games head into the 4th quarter.  My team is at 171 with Jimmy Graham still contributing and maybe Saints D or Ted Ginn if they score enough.  Then I'll be forced to watch to see if I can stay above the cut during SNF and MNF.  I think it's going to be close.

Pretty much done with 192.7, only can add to it with a Rams defensive score in the last 4 minutes, or Ginn catching a td pass. Cut line is 162.2. Not sure how to feel and not sure how my team has gotten this far.

The cut is not moving 30 points with these teams playing

I got the boot last week, but would like to know my score moving forward.

Does anyonr know know how to set the website that shows live updates to still show the score for those of us that are out of the contest?

Well after one drive Bell has already outscored Hunt and now every point of his counts for me.  Currently 6 points below the cut so I need a pretty good game from Bell here
