Yes, since the first year they started charging for content. IIRC, Joe and/or David asked how many people would subscribe if they started charging. Been doing FFL since before there was an internet as we know it. Earliest memories of on-line content was The Huddle and Cheatsheets.net. Both were free.

I still love Draft Dominator and use some weekly content regularly.
Thanks GB.

How about a donation option?  I mean, now that I think about it I could just subscribe again and not use it but I care so little about FF now that I don't ever think about it.  However, it would be good to have a mechanism to see how many people care enough about the forums to actually pay for them - even via a donation.
Yes, I would donate some bucks for the boards. I haven’t subscribed in a while since I haven’t played large dollar fantasy leagues in recent years. I kind of feel guilty in using their bandwidth and taking up their other overhead. I also wouldn’t mind some banner ads although I don’t think there would be that much revenue in that.

Had been for years, but no longer pay for any Fantasy content across all platforms.

Would gladly donate 10 or 20 if we had a PayPal button to cover costs and resources, and maybe the rest goes to a charity of FBG's choice.

I got out my credit card and was about to sign up for a $14.95 membership (mid season discount) even though I don’t play fantasy football this year.  But then I paused.  Maybe I should wait for the future of the political forum announcement tomorrow that Joe has hinted about.

We’ve all gotten good mileage out of the forum, go ahead and splurge.

Which is exactly the problem with connecting money to the forum. If you'd be upset if the PSF went away or have a problem if you got suspended, definitely don't pay any money.

@Joe Bryant - holy cow! Your content is light years ahead of where I remember, and at the time y'all were still the premier site out there.

So, WDIS, C. Kirk tonight or Miles Sanders ?

😉

I've been season long since 2006. I used to use the draft dominator and some other features, but for one reason or another I've stopped using/reading most of it. I've always loved the subscriber contest, but I've even started mailing it in on that one. At this point I think I'm just paying for Waldman's Gut Check and Top 10 (I absolutely love that addition) and it's worth it.

I was a subscriber for many years and wasn't going to resubscribe this year but decided to do the DraftKings promotion (deposit something like $10 in a new DK account and get a free FBG Pro subscription).

I definitely believe that many, many people use the forums and don't subscribe/support the FBG business.  However, I think there are also many that wouldn't be as inclined to subscribe if the forums went away.

Maybe make the forums only for subscribers and finally let us post pictures/gifs?   :)

Do FF participants and/or customers of FBG's service see non-FF participants as a positive, negative or neutral to the forum at large?

I'm still pretty shocked this place has such active sub-forums on non-FF topics (FFA and Politics). I'm only in this sub-forum because things got so bad politically that I got curious enough to dip my toes in over here. Generally speaking, the more the merrier as long as people actually bring constructive discussion rather than just nonsense and propaganda. For this reason (numbers/activity), non-FF participants are likely a positive.

And that's part of the reason I have an appreciation for Reddit, too. The sheer activity over there (/r/politics) is staggering and you are free to vent much more. I can say what I really think about red hats and nobody bats and eye. You laugh in agreement with someone about something absurd the president has done and you get suspended for a week over here. Conversely, there are definitely some Reddit subs that are very intent on being echo chambers and will ban you in a heartbeat if you even question their line of thinking. It took a single post each from me to get banned from /r/socialism and /r/communism. I've never even stepped into the cesspool that is /r/the_donald but I'm sure I'd get banned immediately.

Maybe FBG could make a subscriber's lounge and allow pictures/gifs in there. The lounge would be a subscriber perk kind of like the lounge in reddit where premium subscribers can go (although that place is utterly worthless... I've peeked in there when I get a temp pass from being awarded gold, nothing notable to see).
