@mattpyzdrowski: BREAKING NEWS!!!

Ok, this is new for me but here we go...

Have a source who just told me the @TorontoFC vs @dcunited game this morning in @MLS is being cancelled.

Each team had a player test positive for COVID overnight.

Protocol is to leave players quarantined at hotel and

That honestly didn’t feel like 76% for Chelsea - SU controlled the match and seemed to have all the chances.
Chels looked terrible across the board. Guys couldn't do the simple skills, like trap or cross the ball. Tammy was invisible...got me wondering if CP plays better with him or Giroud.

Thought CP had his usual happy feet going, but SU defended him really well, always making sure to have support for the first and even second defender when he tried going to goal.

SU otoh were a team with a laser focused intent, and played the game exactly how they wanted. Every cross venomous, if chels had the ball deep they'd ruthlessly press high, creating chances and goals off turnovers (nice work dribbling inside your own box and losing it for a goal, Mount). And if Chelsea broke that press, SU would drop quickly and highly organized back into their own half and let Christensen and Zouma pass the ball ineffectually to each other.

I’d say Leicester was melting down, but that’s an understatement.

edit: What comes after implosion on the complete and utter collapse scale? It was only 2-1 when I initially posted.

What the..!

I fell asleep at halftime with..I think..LC winning 1-0. Burnmouth were absolutely terrible at that point, with it looking like an imminent rout. I guess that part was right.

Schmeichel with a horrible mistake (could have been a red on the defender) and then SÖYÜNCÜ lost his mind after getting shoved.  Result may cost them CL spot if City get reinstated.

5 staight with an unchanged side for United.  Will be quite the run in: Today vs Southampton,  Thursday vs Palace, Sunday vs Chelsea (FA Cup), Wed vs West Ham and Sunday vs Leicester

Looking good for CL
That is the priority now.  Grab 3rd, get into CL then add depth so you can compete in all comps next season. Then go win the Europa for good measure.

FA Cup would be a nice trophy, but Top 4 is there for the taking and seemed a dream a few months ago.

Southampton's press has been incredible so far.  Doubt they can keep this level of pressure up for 90 minutes, but they definitely came to play today.

Of course, Southampton have already allowed two player in on the keeper, and only an off-side, and a good save have kept United off the scoreboard.

If Pogba is curious why people don't give a #### if he leaves or not I would just show him the first 20 minutes of this match.  Pathetic.
I mean, seriously - dude has class oozing out of him - could he bother to hustle and give a damn a little more often?

Wow. SH so good so far and then blammo.
:goodposting:

These two are the good and the bad of that press vs United.  SH has forced United to hurry and they look very sloppy.  United is so quick and so good on the counter that if you push too high all it takes is a moment of brilliance and you are behind.

He's been better since the restart, not trying to do too much and just playing, letting Bruno do his thing, but thats two games in a row he gave one up like that.  And thats what will get focused on esp when it leads to a goal.  He, and all of them, need to play a complete game.

United needs to get a little more 1 touch passing going on to beat this pressure.  SH doing a good job of swarming the ball. And getting a little chippy

I don't disagree - for me, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when he's done this stuff for a while.

Wow.

SH did play well today and can't argue them getting something out of it..but tough way for United not to get all the points here.

Brutal. Down a man, sloppy goal in front on a corner. Just a horrendous way to lose.

They played a pretty lousy 2nd half though. Never put the hammer down.

As far as they've come, they still can't take hold of the chances gifted by others.  SH pushed high and hard and an unchanged side for 5 games felt it.

Cl still in their hands if they win the last 3.

They had the opportunities to get a 2 goal lead and just screwed it up.  Bruno was off, Pogba with the giveaways.  Martial played well.

Big chance blown.
