Can't shake the feeling that Arsenal are the team to beat this year, and that Liverpool's got too many new players (and at least partially new system) to gel fast enough. They've just been so so open thru midfield and the back it looks like they aren't on the same page yet. Hope I'm wrong. Win tomorrow goes a long way for both teams though.

As an Arsenal fan , I hope you are right but I have my doubts.
We havent looked good either , got 6 points though so that is a positive
Like Liverpool, we brought a lot of new players in so the biggest difference is our depth. that al ready shows as we have lost 3 starters in the 1st 2 games and we still have a chance against Liverpool tomorrow.

Frimpong still out, so Szoboszlai at RB again. He was fantastic there last week -- more centrally focused in possession, sort of like TAA, but rock solid defensively and without the same level of ability to spray the ball to anywhere from anywhere.

Like the lineup a lot. I think the Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Wirtz midfield is probably my first choice (Grave/Mac/Szoboszlai 2nd choice) -- trying to play Wirtz + Szobo + three forwards in midfield has been part of the problem IMO.

Here's hoping for a good clean game where no one remembers who the ref was tomorrow.

10x better than the last three matches from Liverpool. Especially the 2nd half.

Getting Gravenberch and MacA behind Wirtz really solidified things IMO. They've got next to nothing from Wirtz so far this year though. Will be interesting to see how his role shakes out.

Germany lost 2-0 to Slovakia today in WCQing

This was only their second time in all the years of qualifying that they lost a game by more than one goal.
At HT they were down 0-1 and Belgium was only up 1-0 vs Lichtenstein....both scores jumped out at me. Just checked...didnt stay quite that close in the latter game.

Concacaf wcq tonight....guat vs els should be a good one.
Not a good match to watch...nervey, sloppy, crappy artificial turf. But a sub for ES (#11) made a big impact xomng in late helping them craft some dangerous counters. His perfect driven corner created the games only goal. guats subs shanked some solid opporunities.
